Re: Late Age game random settings, random nations

The wrong Pretender is being used for Ermor in the new game. I uploaded Baldy II for the original game after I realized I didn't have the mod enabled for Baldy.

In the new game that was just created Baldy is in there instead of Baldy II. I'm not sure exactly how mods work but when Baldy was created the mod wasn't installed.

Heh, I knew something could go wrong with all the resets and false starts.

Let's hope the old game works out and we can scrub the new game. Otherwise, you (but no one else) will have to re-upload and we'll have to reset, AGAIN.

Turn 2 is ready in the original game. Port 2001.

What's happening to the 2nd game? Port 2002?

Are we really going to play two games? I say we continue to play the original game.

Sheap November 20th, 2006 08:12 PM

Re: Late Age game random settings, random nations

Yes, the second game was only in case the first game didn't work out. Since everyone is alive and well in the original game now, I will plan on taking the second game down.

That works for me. I daresay my starting position in the 2nd game seemed quite disadvantageous compared to the 1st game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Whew, same here. My 2nd starting position wasn't too great.

Darn... I had better position in the 2nd game. It's no problem whatsoever anyhow.... I will just die quicker in the first one. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

I will be out of town for a week starting tomorrow and will return on Monday. I will leave the old game running, since the new one does not seem to be necessary. But, if there is some problem, I will not be able to fix it until I get back.

My second is also preferable to my first.

Server was knocked out by a power failure. No ETA for revival. Hopefully, I will be able to get it back up before I actually get on the plane, or it could be out until Monday.

Strange, I can't seem to access the server for the first game. I played my turn on the Newbie game just fine, which I believe is running on the same server. Anyone else having problems?

I will look into this. It will probably reset the turn timer, heh.

Edit: It appears you got your turn to submit and the game hosted normally with all turns played, so whatever the problem it must have gone away on its own.

Lord Meglobob of Agartha,

That's outrageous, do you know how hard Agarthan armour is to keep clean and shiny? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Ha! Mine eyes spy mighty Legions of Undead and the despicable dwellers of the Underground advancing upon my lands! The glorious jungle kingdom of Patala will never surrender and shall fight the evil invaders down to the last talon. Already one strong cohort of blithering, gibbering cave dwellers lies staring at the stars, bodies broken and limbs twisted by the mighty Monkey Warriors of Patala.

Agartha, I would plead for peace, but instead I shall take the shiny buttocks of a Merkata and send them to you to plant upon them your bloated lips in homage to the Goddess of Patala.

Though I may pass soon from these lands, I shall drag many cohorts of Undead and legions of cave dwellers down into the pits of Hades along with me!

I relish the glory of further battle you heathen scum! Hahahaa....

Cool, fight to the last monkey! Agartha and Ermor enjoy a good slaughter/bloodbath...

I hear tell that in the west, Pangaea has too fallen, even more quickly than Patala...that must have been even more bloody...Mictian conquered them.

Does conflict wage elsewhere in the lands?

What of R'lyeh and T'ien Ch'i?

Pangaea is still resisting, but Agares can not be denied. Some lizards have also been sighted.

Pangae has yet to fall! We shall strike back against the trecherous blood hunters. They may have the woodlands cornered, but the wilds will once again rise up and cover the cities and temples.

A Public Service Announcement

Server will be reset tomorrow (Saturday, December 2nd) so I can change the server's license key. This will reset the turn timer but no data will be lost.

Re: A Public Service Announcement

Hello!
Just wanted u all to know that T'ien Ch'i does not honour non agression pacts.

We had a pact that stated that whoever of us who wanted to attack the other needed to inform the other 3 turns in advance.

T'ien Ch'i did not honour that pact at all and stabbed me in the back.

To Ulm from Tien Chi

According to my logs there is no such pact. I did send you a pact offering but got no answer back from you.

But in this case even I can be wrong... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif therefore I am withdrawing all my troops this turn AND reimbursing you with 1000 gold. I always play honorably and if I made a mistake I WILL do all in my power to unmake the mistake.

Don_Corleone December 4th, 2006 09:55 AM

Re: Late Age game random settings, random nations

Thank you!
That is very honourable of you.
The non agression pact is in place again then.

May your fair lands prosper under your rule until such time you inform me 3 turns in advance that u want to fight me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Cheers

On this day Agares drinks the blood of last halfman. He eats the heart, the liver and the brains of the wretched creature, and tosses aside the mutilated corpse. It was fun while it lasted.

Pangaea is no more, and from this day forth blood will water the Grove of Gaia, blood spilled for the pleasure of Agares.

Server is nagot gick fel. Apparently Illwinter has added a "feature" that allows them to find and crash existing servers when a new patch comes out. The good news is that this means we can upgrade to the latest patch. The bad news is that we must upgrade to the latest patch. I will take care of this today. The turn timer, naturally, will be reset.

Undead Ho!

Hehe... 1800 Undead camped outside my capital. Now this should be a fun battle!

Tsk tsk, I'm disappointed Agartha. After all that hard work taking my field armies down and you're letting Ermor have the grand prize.

He needs to take his final medicine: the message that tells him he is vanquished. After that no more turns for Pangaea.
