Anyway, thanks for the compliment, I will assume u were not trying to cause dissension amongst me and my water brothers... It is too early to say who I will befriend or ally with, but it seems a good idea to me, if us water dwellers get on and raid the lands of the earth walkers. After all, if we mess up on land, we can always retreat to the safety of the depths... |
Re: Turn 2
Sure but if you mess up on land, there's no reason your fellow water walkers can't just take advantage of that so you have no more depth to retreat to ... =)

Migaaresno\'s email
Migaaresno's email wasn't working too good today, but I think we have it resolved. But, he might have gone to sleep before getting his .trn for turn2 . So, we will wait for him tomorrow.

We're still waiting on Migaaresno's turn due to yesterday's email problems. I sent the turn to his alternative email address. Hopefully, all will be well by tonight. I will host as soon as possible.

Re: Turn 2
Did you check your spam folder? Just because you found oceanias pretender there, maybe the .2h file is there too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Re: Turn 2
Yup. I checked before going to work. Hopefully, his turn will be waiting for me when I go home for lunch. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Turn 5
Why is it so quiet in here?
Most SUPERFLUOUS prophet Anushirvan in service to the ALL POWERFUL serpent of might, with scales of glittering glory, seek to CONGRATULATE fish-man of deep waters for finding reason to invade province, and take it, by force, from independent fish-man. Congratulations, nation of Oceania, from the feeble but pious and MOST eloquent lizard-voice of great SERPENT, Father of Gods. -Prophet Chrosroes Anushirvan, once Lord of Lizards |
Re: Turn 5
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! (How am I doing so far Ygorl?)
I can't believe this game took heavy cavalry and gave it a sissy name like Cataphracts! Heck, I thought they were some sort of spearmen......Stupid Dominions thingies! -yc (****Shaking afist at the dispassionate computer monitor***) I'll be back, I'll be back! |
Caelum!!!
Zowie!
Am I reading the graphs right? Does Caelum have 3 VP's already? This will be a VERY short game if Caelum's neighbors pussyfoot around! Pasha |

Great prophet gives advice to servants of false gods: bones of unholy birdmen break easily. They flitter about fast, but do little else. Like all beings that lack holy scaled form, they are prone to despair, so killing them is a kindness.
-Prophet Chrosroes Anushirvan, the lizard with the silver tongue |
Re: Caelum!!!
arnt VPs accumulated every 12 turns? How could someone have any so far?
P.S. The closest VP is 4-5 provinces away from me http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif |
Re: Caelum!!!
They increment in late summer, FAJ.
Pasha, he's only got two. Don't worry, he's harmless. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
Re: Caelum!!!
Yes. Caelum has corrected me. It looked like 3 on the graphs. But, TWO is a very good early start!!!!!
VP's are granted every summer. The game started in the Spring. After the first summer, it will be every 12 turns. Pasha |
False alarm, nothing to see here, go home folks!
Man, I seem to be improving: in DDD it took until around turn 10 before folks were all 'waah, waah, Jurri's winning, waah', while now 5 turns is enough? Soon I'll be at the stage where y'all can just surrender when I join up... You big punch of pussies! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif And the dawg who cries wolf needs new glasses.
Meglo, I take back what I said: it takes quite a huge amount of ball-lessness to be calling winners on turn 5, unless it's in self-elevation, like this: I bet on Caelum to win! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Also, turn 5. |
Re: False alarm, nothing to see here, go home folks!
Jurri says:-
I bet on Caelum to win! Good bet! Thats who I went for. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif |

Kärmes is dead! The first of many false gods.
Haw haw, I'm sure that the pretender, Kärmes, deserved everything it got... Do share the grimy details, o prophet with the silvery tongue!
That is assuming someone didn't already cut it; a pleasure I was looking forward to myself, so I understand completely if someone else saw the glint of that silvery slab of meat and couldn't resist the temptation. Also: what's eating Pangaea? EDIT: And for the love of me, someone dominion kill the Cactus already! He's begging for it! |
Re: Kärmes is dead! The first of many false gods.
karmes was a wrym, he had me slightly worried, him being amphibious and all. But then he died. I reckon indies did for him, shame. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/cool.gif
Solo has a prince of death who apparently is very much alive, causing terror, mayhem and death. Of course those r no match for Obad-Hai, who is many times there size and is fast approaching his 1,000 birthday, not even in his old age, bless. He does expect presents and a . That Jurri is a very, very, very clever chap. He can figure out how to fit all the candles on. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |
Re: Kärmes is dead! The first of many false gods.
The great serpent has two heads: life and death. They argue with each other constantly about which is more holy: to live and writhe, or to die and then return from the sunless lands at the call of his children. Sometimes death wins the argument.

Re: Kärmes is dead! The first of many false gods.
Yellowcactus has told me to say:
He is in Alabama and will take his turn when he gets back. But, it's a long way, and he would appreciate the turn being delayed just a few hours. Thank you! from Yellowcactus. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |
YC
Ok!

Re: YC
As you can see, YC requested an extension. I have not received his turn, so I will wait until tonight after I get back from work.

I'm away from 21th-26th november and can't make a turn.
I'll make my tuesday turn, will miss the thursday turn and i'm back on sunday to make my sunday turn. So my thursday turn will definitly missed! the rest should work fine. I'm ok with 1 turn per day, but not before november 26 (because i've planed with the 3 days/week). |
Re: YC
I think we should stick to 1 per day as long as possible. 3 turns a week is so slow most games die before they are finished with such a pace...
|
Re: YC
My vote is for 1 turn per day.
|
Re: YC
I go whit Solo
|
Re: YC
I'm going to go with "Hosting: 9:00 p.m. Boston Time; Daily for turn 1-10; Tues-Thurs-Sun for turns 11 & after". Wouldn't have gotten into the game if I thought it was staying at 1 turn a day after turn 10. |
Re: YC
I'm with Cainehill.
Teraswaerto, the good games don't die... What makes games good? Players who enjoy them and keep playing them! |
Re: YC
Hear, hear! I don't think this is a cause for a vote, since the good ol' host has defined the schedule beforehand and unless he sees a reason to deviate from it, I don't think we should.

I only mean't for this week as I have alot of free time. Normally when I am at work, 3/turns a week is more than enough. Still managing to do my turns in just 10 - 15 mins tops. Perhaps I am overlooking something? |
Oceania goes victory!
The army's of oceania march closer to the center of the world and letting the cowardly nation of Rlyeh run before them.
As they settle in the first victory location they conquered they set up a strong defence and march on to the find the captidal of the foul muthuh and banish the false god to eternal suffering! |
Turn 11
Turn 11 is out.
Deadline is Tuesday at 9pm Boston time. I think we should start the 3/turn per week schedule as originally stated. It is Tuesday / Thursday / Sunday. Pasha |
Wicked Oceania
Holy Smack! I thought Jurri and his fellow Finns were wicked, but they don't hold a candle to the Dastardly Dutchman Migaaresno! His mighty army made fish paste with Rlyeh's main army. Grrrr!

Re: Wicked Oceania
Heh you know it's auspicious when your capital is named "Stairway to Heaven". =D
