Something weird happened this turn, i got a corrupted turn message(for no reason) and I might not have been the only one.

I didn't recieve the boots from you, I thought I had made a mistake and mixed up two games http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif. I'll chalk it up to a corrupt turn I suppose.

As for other odd things happening this turn, I thought I was lucky. I have order1 and luck1, and I managed to get 3 good events this turn. My assumptions of my luck were shattered though, as when I checked my provinces, nearly 90% of all my mages got either diseased or mute. Even one that had just been recruited! Oddly enough, the ones spared from disease were already insane from R'lyeh. Even my poor poor advanced scout, Leric, who isn't even old, has two afflictions. Doomed to die far away from his home ground http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif.

Does blood hunting increase your chances of getting afflictions? My blood economy is about to die of natural causes http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/shock.gif.

I'm taking this opportunity as C'tis to publicly begin letting my 3-turn NAP with R'lyeh expire. Unless someone does something about their exponentially growing power soon it's pretty much game over for many players anywhere close to the sea.

He will crush me quickly unless more pressure is put on him from others, but I'm not one to put off the inevitable.

Pangaea declare trade embargo on the evil R'lyeh, I will also support anyone who fights against the void beings with gold, gems, and artifacts. Regrettably I'm unable to join the fight as I'm not adjacent to R'lyeh.

He is adjacent to nearly everyone of my provinces, and I can't enter the sea. I am just waiting for him to decide to take my island. I feel sort of forlorn here.

I also have a large amount of unneeded air and water gems. Need earth/death in return. Pans will always give you a better price than the void beings, so deal with the sane....

All of this talk of a alliance against R'yleh has come far too late for warriors of Jomon.

After several large battles in which we were unable to defeat the mages from the seas to our south (they claim the stars but we cannot believe these abominations come from anywhere but the most primeval depths). No matter how many mad ones and assorted abominations we slew R'yleh mages survived and continued the throw Nether Darts at our rapidly diminishing ranks in battle after battle.

In a demonstration of the unwavering Jomonese honour code our finest mages have locked these accursed creatures in duels of the mind and have sacrificed themselves in an heroic attempt to avenge our fallen god, with some success (3 of our mages for each of theirs).

We hope others are able to avenge us and remember us

They came from the sea
Our katanas cut deeply
Shall we see the snows

Bring it crazy one! The Wraithlord never tires of slaying starspawn muck! C'tis has already divested itself of all worldly possessions so we can fight without hesitation and to the death! We hope those items/gems/gold will aid those who eventually bring you low!

Orion is a mercenary leader - and hasn't been a very effective one for me. And while he has already seen R'yleh defeat Jomonese army after Jomonese war band after Jomonese assorted rabble he hasn't picked up any experience in the deal.

All his loyal troops have been nether darted into oblivion though....

Ask and you shall receive: http://67.66.187.69/dominions3/soulrend.jpg

BTW thats the Quickness heroic ability too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif. I soul vortex up and sometimes cast Rigor Mortis if I feel like it (at least until my gems run out).

Actually he really could use an item upgrade... like some frost swords that are really nice - and maybe some quickness boots (I think it will stack with the heroic ability). If anyone wants to donate to the "Soulrend Forever" fund you'll get an autographed letter from him along with a promise not to invade your lands. Some more death gems (like 15-20) would be handy as well. Every donation goes toward hurting LA R'lyeh!

Give him boots of quickness for his feet and for his hands i suggest 2 of the following: firebrand, frostbrand, shadowbrand. 4 AoE attacks per turn is fun(and thats before heroic)

If you have paid for your membership into the "Soulrend Fan Club" and have received the official autographed photo of your hero triumphant atop a mound of starspawn corpses you will be exempt from his wrath. Soulrend realizes he wouldn't be where he is today without his dedicated fans.

This, of course, cannot apply to the starspawn scum.

Does he even have a lab to recieve it? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

I have zero water gems and only a handfull of water1 mages, but I'll get working on it! I don't want to drag my blood hunters away from their comfy labs just to banish him to inferno http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif. My blood supply has taken a big enough hit from all these friggen vampires which are a waste of time!

BTW, being a man who has experiance with super combatants, have you any tips for me? I just sent a few to test out on Arcosephele, but I have low hopes for them due to no regeneration. Is ethereal\luck enough to keep them alive long enough to route the enemy? They arn't immortal http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif.

That depends on a huge number of things such as their health, protection, defence, fear, resistances, MR, killing power ect. If you post some of your set-ups in the main dominions forum you could get some more solid advice.

Jomon was so inspired by Soulrends example that we too have decided to head into oblivion.

Thanks for the game everyone - for me it has just been one big getting ground into the dust by R'yleh whilst being completely unable to land a punch on his starspawns(you know, the valuable, difficult to replace quickly units). I did manage to work out how to kill piles of R'yleh's freespawn chaff whilst being nether darted to death http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/fear.gif

I surrender to R'lyeh despite never encountering their zany forces. Nice job. I never once saw anything that happened to the West there, but apparently there was too much infighting and they ignored you or somethin'. Those two crazily good globals up is too much even if everyone ganged. Silly bunnies.
