Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Oddly enough, nothing happened for me last turn, including not moving a large army away from another large army. I'm not sure if it was just me being a dunce (entirely possible I admit!) or if it was something to do with my computer playing two turns. I think it's the former htough...

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

oh, btw - that message I was trying to send to marignon - i didn't have marignon as an in game message option for some reason. I couldn't be bothered looking into it so i just sent to everyone.

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

i had just gotten the new turn and was checking what had happened, in the overview map and the battle report it had said that i had lost a battle, but in the actual battle replay, I had won that battle

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Yeah, I can confirm the issue. Quite annoying.

I tried rehosting the turn on my home computer and didn't get the same bug though, which is annoying because it means there's no point sending the files to JK. However, I saw how your guys could easily lose. If any of the T'ien Ch'i lances reached them without having first been blunted on your troops, they cut your SCs down horribly quickly.

but they bless themselves first turn, and then they started to buff themselves, what is really strange is that my guy got the affliction from the battle which is actually shown.

James243 October 11th, 2008 08:03 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Yeah, this was weird. I watched the battle and was feeling all depressed...and then in the campaign level I had won.

It'll be temporary though. I don't have an answer to your SCs hunt.

Good game Agartha! You really put up a good defense and made me use a lot more mages in this war then I wanted to. And that suicidal earthquake I sure wasn't expecting - good move.

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Guys, I am going to be gone Friday and Saturday, so should i look for a sub, or could you stall the game for me instead?

James243 October 23rd, 2008 12:57 AM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Sigh...still a lot to learn in this game. Set up a mind duel, my SC is higher astral than the opponents, even did communions for good measure, thought I had the ranges ok...and my SC decides to buff himself instead. And dies...again...sigh... What did I miss?

vfb October 23rd, 2008 01:28 AM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Communion does not boost magic duel, and range is 100.

Did you give your caster a pearl?

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Can we turn quickhost off? Llamaserver keeps accepting my .2h file from the previous turn. I want to send the new .2h to see whether it'll stop. If it keeps accepting the old one after that, I would like to request delay until this is sorted out.

I am looking to buy a few dwaren hammers. Payment is available in a wide variety of items (up to constr6), all types of gems and money. Please PM me with your offers.

Psycho November 11th, 2008 05:47 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Someone (admin?) should make a thread looking for a sub for R'lyeh while they are still playable. They were doing well, it would be a shame for it to go to waste.

On another topic, I am still looking for hammers, so don't be shy with your offers.

Tichy November 15th, 2008 10:58 AM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Any word on what's going on with R'lyeh?

Psycho November 17th, 2008 12:21 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

I asked Executor to take over R'lyeh and he accepted. I already sent PMs to both our admin and llama to switch R'lyeh to his email, so that R'lyeh doesn't stale for the 6th time in a row. If there are any objections, please say now.

Foodstamp November 18th, 2008 08:26 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Sorry I was a bit late on seeing this. No objections here. I noticed Tien Chi is staling as well but is still in a strong position. We may want to ask someone to take over that spot as well if he stales a few more turns.

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Sure, thats fine with me.

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Hello all,
I've taken over R'lyeh, and I see that I'm clearly in no winning position but I'm sure I can do some damage and turn the tides of war a little.
If anyone wants to trade astral gems for earth or fire, I'm your man. The price if 1.2 for 1 astral gem.
Anyone interested, PM me.

He borders me. They just popped up all over!

My theory: sitting on an acre of earth gems, just researched Wizard's Tower, had a big Wizard Tower-ing party.

Net benefit? No idea.

Psycho December 4th, 2008 09:07 AM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Not likely, since he staled the last two turns.

Also, looks like we'll need a sub for Mictlan as well

Aye sorry, work has taken me away from dominions in the most dramatic manner. I apologize for giving no notice and for not being able to find a sub on my own. Goodluck to those who remain, I had fun. :).

Unless something has changed I am subbing for Mictlan, if you have any diplomatic agreements with Mictlan could you send me the details.

Psycho December 5th, 2008 01:03 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

You are in charge of Mictlan now hunt11. I delayed the game, so you have full 48h to do your turn.

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Guys, work is nuts right now (in a bunch of messy ways really). I've been trying to hang in so as to not give advantages/disadvantages, but with all my stales I don't think I'm helping things. It's been fun - and educational - but I've gotta turn to AI.

Cheers,

James.

Tichy, we had the same tactic, it just that my guy was too scary for that Tartarian. Next time I'm organizing bets.

Tichy, I hope you wouldn't mind me setting Rlyeh to AI now that you're attacking them.

Tichy January 30th, 2009 06:24 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Give me a turn, please, so I can move defenders into place. I'm looking ahead to the end-game. That border between you and I left you quite a bit of TC fish in a barrel for you to shoot, with me sitting tight while R'lyeh's misfortune dominion creeped towards me. So I needs to even the odds a touch.

By the way, have we lost the Mictlan player? If so we should AI both of them.

Psycho January 31st, 2009 01:04 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

It's OK to give you a turn to set your defenders in place, but don't use the extra turn of Rlyeh staling to take over more of his provinces. I fought with AI Tien Chi all the time. I didn't attack while he was staling.

I didn't even notice Mictlan was staling. I've sent him a PM as well. I also postponed this turn for 24 hours so it doesn't host before I hear from him.

Tichy January 31st, 2009 02:41 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

OK -- Point taken, although I can't imagine there's been much to TC's AI lately. Even the last few provinces I took from him turns ago it was just throwing chaff at me.

I got bored, and I wanted to push back the misfortune dominion. All I've been doing the last few turns was retaking provinces lost to barbarian hordes. I was expecting Mictlan to finish researching and then make a move on one of us...not vanish.

I am going to have less time for dominions for a while. And since we are well into late game, I though of starting a motion to move to 72h turns. Anyone in favor?

Tichy February 6th, 2009 05:21 PM

Hey guys: I said ok to one 48 hour push back. This is now the *third* one. Are we still playing?

Psycho February 25th, 2009 06:50 PM

Re: MadCradle2, 11 players, MA - Game On!

Mictlan complained that his computer broke down and asked for an extension for all his games in a separate thread. Yes we have delayed this game a lot, but I can't let him stale in this critical moment. I'll PM him to see why is it taking so long.
