Ahh, hint. You guys might want to get your Blood game up. These blood summons are coming pretty easily to me.

Posted..., because I'm a vet, and this is a noob game. Just trying to pass some information out.

Don't think I forgot about that fact!

So, Arco and Ermor take out Agartha and R'lyeh, Ashdod takes out Ulm, and I sit around and twiddle my thumbs for a while. Then we get the party started. Sound good everyone?

Actually, I might have a little go at Agartha myself, just to speed things up a bit.

So will I if I can get there.

Well, I'm going in to the water after all. It's all that is left for me. Anyone with me?

R'lyeh's prophet is still around and in my vicinity slowing my water acquistions down a bit.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, Okie dokey. I guess I go in mostly alone. Made a big old barrel of air. 75 skinshifters underwater should do some damage.

Lingchih March 13th, 2009 10:29 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Yep. 75 skinshifters did the trick, and Shin is finally completely gone. And wow, this ocean looks ripe for the taking. Nothing but indies and a weak R'lyeh down here. Nice.

And I've built a nice castle right in the middle of Agartha's peninsula. I can launch attacks from there. We may be able to get this back to a normal game soon (maybe within 10 turns). A normal game meaning, we beat the crap out of each other instead of conquering AI nations.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Llama is back up. Let's get that turn in please, Ermor.

That last comment was type #5 right?

Lingchih March 17th, 2009 08:57 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Correct!

Though it would be nice if Ermor would get it's turn in this week.

Lingchih March 17th, 2009 10:46 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Please upgrade to the new version. The Llamaserver has been upgraded.

And Ermor, could you please get your turn in? Thanks.

Hmmph. I hope Ermor has not abandoned this game. We would have to call it then, with only 3 nations remaining.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

My apologies, just a busy schedule lately, and the server was down when I checked on Monday.

Anyway turn in and the next turn as well. This is starting to get exciting!

Oh buy the way the Sea belongs to the Undead in case you somehow did not figure that out already.

I'm only taking the small portion that used to be Jomon, and one R'lyeh castle that is bugging me because it is right next to me. 2 provs total. You can fight with Ashdod over the rest of it.

I assume you'll be resetting the hosting interval at some point.

Lingchih March 19th, 2009 08:15 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

It's on 48 hour. I thought that was what it was on before.

Do you need a delay?

Actually is was on 72, per my request some time back. It might be advisable, or changing the interval.

Lingchih March 20th, 2009 09:01 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Are you sure it was on 72? I almost never change a game to 72, unless it's really late, late game. But then, my memory is horrible. Show me some proof, please, like a post, showing it was on 72, and I will change it.

Nevermind, I see the post. I will reset it back to 72.

Lingchih March 20th, 2009 09:50 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Oops. In trying to reset the timer on the game, I inadvertently postponed the game for like a week. Well, get your turns in as soon as you can I guess. It's still on autohost, so when everyone is in it will host.

And dammit Aristander! Let's coordinate this stuff. I thought you were attacking R'lyeh, not Agartha. My air queen got a permanent affliction fighting off your longdead horse.

Aristander March 21st, 2009 10:18 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well that was a nasty turn.

I lost 600 undead against R'lyeh's capital and 200 to Van's Air Queen. Good thing Undead are expendable.

As far as the air queen goes sorry about the affliction, but I thought I was to sweep down the west side of the map. I certainly did not expect you to take the province next to my fortress.

On the bright side, I did not send a Tatarian along with that army, I almost did.

Lingchih March 21st, 2009 08:41 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Ok Aristander. All is forgiven. I'll move her out. I was just trying to get some breathing room around my new castle. I'll move her to the south, where Agartha is all turtled up.

You're up Septimius. We're just waiting on you.:)

Lingchih March 22nd, 2009 11:41 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Are you seriously going to take until Thursday to do your turn Sept? I mean, I'm sorry... I screwed up the hosting schedule. But all you have to do is post your turn to get us back on track.

Vanhiem has ended it's NAP pact with Ashdod. I can only take so much procrastination. We shall be at war three turns from now.

Sorry, been a bit busy, I'm not procrastinating. I'll have may turn in by Monday night, not Thursday.

Your just spoiling for a fight huh? Can't wait till the AI's are finished huh?

If that is the way you want it so be it.

Lingchih March 23rd, 2009 09:59 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Allright, if you can get your turn in soon, we will not end the NAP. It's just been so long, I am forgetting what the heck I am doing in the game.

I like your new avatar Aristander. God from the Holy Grail, I believe :)

Septimius Severus March 26th, 2009 10:55 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Hmm, my turn is ready, but I'm having some Internet issues, if my access is not fixed by tonight around 4 or 5 GMT, Lingchih, I'll need a delay, say 24 to start. It May be better just to put in an extra 24 hours just in case, as soon as you can, just to be on the safe side in case you don't get a chance to monitor the server around hosting time.

Thanks.

Yes you are correct, I thought the avatar was very appropriate.

Thank You.

-"Good idea, oh Lord"

-"Of course it's a good idea!"

And, oh, the game is delayed 24 hours.

Edit: Never mind. I see Ashdod just got his turn in.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Lost an Ice Devil when I left him underwater and removed his water breathing gear for some reason. I hate it when I do that. So, there's an Ice Devil up for grabs.

In other news, I notice the Chalice is gone. Hmm, I wonder who could have taken it?

Aristander March 27th, 2009 09:42 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Seek the Grail and you will find only, Death.

The Chalice is most useful for Tartarians, cures all those nasty afflictions gained in Tartarus don't you know.:)

Oh, yes it is. And maybe you could loan it to me? Gift of Health should work for you just fine.

tick, tock, tick, tock. Oh, what the hell. Take your time Ashdod. I'd kind of like to get this game done before I go on vacation in May though.

Hmm. That looks like an invasion army, and not on an AI border, Ermor. I hope it is not meant for me.

Anyway, AI's are about dead. Near enough anyway. Let's go ahead and start killing each other, eh? I am ending NAP with Arco and Ashdod. Not saying that I am attacking. Just ending the NAPs. I will keep the NAP with Ermor, since he is a big hulking brute all along my northern border, and I don't want to piss him off.

Lingchih March 29th, 2009 03:45 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Ending NAPs means in three turns, of course.

Quit your bellyaching and whining. If you feel I'm not getting my turns in fast enough, boot me, if you think it is taking too long for the AI's to die then attack us already.

Lingchih March 29th, 2009 08:01 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

No Sept, you get me all wrong. I'm not critical of you. I know you take a long time to do your turns. I'm fine with that. I just feel that it is time for us to start taking on each other. The game has gone stale just killing AI's, and they are almost gone.

SteelyDan March 30th, 2009 04:43 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

So be it. We will dance.

Aristander March 30th, 2009 09:00 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well all I know is that I have been pounding R'lyeh's capital the last 4 turns and his pretender manages to rout my army after he banishes a horde of undead. My Tartarian Cyclops just lost his only eye and now I have to send him back to my fortress to heal.
In other words I am having enough problems with the AI for now.

Lingchih March 31st, 2009 01:18 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Eh, who the hell is SteelyDan, and why is he posting here?

Anyway, if you guys are still having trouble with the AI's, then I will hold off. I am still ending the NAPs, but I won't attack anyone. Fair enough?

SteelyDan March 31st, 2009 05:10 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Erm... You don't know who I am Lingchih? And yet you've replied to at least one post of mine in the past on this thread... interesting. Selective post awareness?

I'm Arco...

Arghh. AI just killed off my pretender! Hmm, I wonder if this call god thing works.

Call god works, but it can take quite a while. I forget the exact number of priest levels needed calling, but I believe it is more than 50 (cumultive each turn).

Another interesting fact about it is the AI cheats with call god, and will often have it's pretender back in just a turn or two, while still doing other things.

Ok, so after next turn, NAPs are up. I want to stress that this does not mean I am at war with anyone. Just that the NAPs are ended.

Honestly, I never knew there were any NAPs in effect, I do remember suggesting way back when, that we should deal with the AI's first before attacking each other, but I suppose that could be regarded as the same thing.
