Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Sounds good, I'm dead tired from the work load we've had this week, so a little extra time works out well for me.

Executor March 8th, 2009 05:15 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I could use a 27 hours delay on this turn if possible.

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Done. Hosting has been delayed.

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Hey sorry guys I just realized that Exe has gotten his turn in, and I'm the one holding it up. I'll do my turn, but

I'd like to suggest we just concede this to Exe.

I don't see any sign of any significant opposition...

Dragar March 11th, 2009 06:22 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I think it's a bit premature to make that assessment properly, I'm keen to at least play a few more turns and see how it goes.

licker March 11th, 2009 06:41 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I have not begun to fight in earnest either, it may be too late though, but I think we can sit for another couple turns at least and see what happens.

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Hey guys, if you see the clock run out and I still havent sent my turn in, would you mind delaying the game? I'm having some PC trouble and turns are almost imposible for me to send. Should probably make it work today or tomorrow but still.

I hate winning - or losing by stales. So I'll try to help you out.

Thanks for the delay, I'm back.

I see a couple of us haven't submitted their turn yet, so I delayed the hosting another 12 hours in case anyone needs it.

Llama server down, turn sent. I hope it gets trough.
An insanly risky turn for me I must say, either the smartest or the dumbest turn I've ever done.

LOL.. any hints?

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

All in all, not too bad.
I did expect to lose that one battle, but man did I lose it!!!
Well any thought on my pretender at least?

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I can't access my turn yet, anyone want to fill me in on the fun stuff?

Executor March 18th, 2009 07:16 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

You lost one battle teribly and won one pretty good.
Lost a couple of provinces also, but the worst is yet to come.

Dragar March 18th, 2009 09:59 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

cool, have logged in now. Fair assessment on the two battles! very polarised

I have to say i was expecting more from moloch - apart from that pesky rain it wasn't exactly an imposing performance from a F9W9 dom 9 pretender fully equipped with a bunch of artifacts? Sure, he didn't need to do much, but he must really have been embarassed casting a cold bolt..

Apart from the firestorm and heat fro mhell, it's interesting to see how poorly your armies fare without a huge swag of blood slaves. Not running out are we? all of those horrors and leeches are pretty expensive when so many of your blood hunters are being taken out, surely?

licker March 18th, 2009 10:59 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Heat from hell? firestorm?

What the hell?

All I can do is send stupid arrows and fling lightning bolts :p

I knew I shouldn't have taken drain3 and then recruited only shide commanders all game long :p

At least I have alot of them I guess :D

Executor March 18th, 2009 01:33 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Well the pretender didn't have much time to act, the battle was over before his battle order allowed him anything, and he didn't cast either rain or cold bolt, he was set to hold.
Don't worry about me, I have plenty of blood slaves to go around, but are you running out of your sacreds? 1 blood slave for 1 burning one is a bit expensive don't you think?

Maybe gold is becoming a problem also? Gold to gold ratio you lost much more than me,
Your army size took a good hit while I still have enough troops to cover 3 fronts,
your sacreds are capital only while mine are not.

Licker, your time shall come... muahahahahahaha :)

I have some special surprises planned for the 3 of you soon, very soon.

chrispedersen March 18th, 2009 02:13 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Actually, Executor I don't think it has to be a three front war.
You've asked me (and dragar) to join you and I am willing to listen to what you propose.

licker March 18th, 2009 03:24 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

People actually are using sacreds?!??!

What the hell, I thought there were no sacreds allowed in this game, I certainly never have bought any!

i do like surprises though.

Once in a boring game where I started in a corner as Machaka and then everyone I bordered kept on going AI so by the time I was able to do anything someone had basically ran away with the rest of the map they sent me dozens and dozens of ghouls in every province I owned (which was well over 30).

Then the next turn, they did it again!

Man, that was an awesome surprise!

chrispedersen March 18th, 2009 05:29 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

that is something like what mictlan has been doing.. just with horrors.

Executor March 24th, 2009 10:02 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Hahaha, very interesting,
Mictlan has now fought ( and is still ) every single nation in this game, every single 9 of them!!!
And might I add it's only turn 45.

chrispedersen March 24th, 2009 10:04 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

And you've killed 3 or 4 of them...
Speaking of which .. someone I presume mictlan - has built the aegis, the pebble suit, Harvester....

licker March 24th, 2009 10:05 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I'm going to be gone from March 27th through the 30th, so could we get a pause during that time? The diplomacy and positions are complex enough I'd feel bad asking a sub to step in, and worse if he managed to mess something up.

I demand to be allowed to mess things up for myself!

;)

Starshine_Monarch March 25th, 2009 10:00 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I can delay that for you, so it's not a problem.

licker March 25th, 2009 11:32 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Thanks, I don't think I'll get in this latest turn before I have to go, but if I can I will.

I don't want to rush it, and there's a storm moving in Thursday so its likely we will leave in the evening meaning I won't have Thursday night like i thought I would.

licker March 31st, 2009 01:16 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I'm back but need 24h to do the turn as I got in later than expected and am too tired to want to deal with it tonight.

Thanks for holding it up for me.

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

FOOBAH!

I just had a mage with no horror marking and no known problematic items go Lost in Space after casting teleport.
I'm asking llama to send me the last .2h to confirm.

This could be one of the changes in the patch .. but thats pretty steep.

Might need to delay, if I may.

llamaserver down. Game will be delayed till tomorrow.

Starshine_Monarch April 6th, 2009 10:40 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a weird risk of teleporting, something like a 1% chance every time you do it. If that's the case, you'll just have to consider yourself (un)lucky that it actually happened to you, so sit back and watch the Void battle reports.

chrispedersen April 7th, 2009 05:08 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

5 times in a row?

Executor April 7th, 2009 05:21 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

So that's 1/100*1/100*1/100*1/100*1/100=0,0000000001% chance
Yeah still possible.

chrispedersen April 7th, 2009 08:40 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Sure its possible. I'm just betting something else is causing it - and I think I have it figured out.

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

can we put this on a 72 hour schedule or something once easter is over?

licker April 10th, 2009 01:30 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

sure, whatever schedule works for everyone is fine, I'm busy enough with other stuff myself.

Starshine_Monarch April 14th, 2009 11:39 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Hosting interval has been changed to 80 hours, to give a bit of extra time for some of us slowpokes.

chrispedersen April 20th, 2009 01:10 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Guys, I hate stales worse than anyone; but this is ridiculous I think we've done 3 turns in 17 days?

I suggest we all try to get these turns back in on a 72 hour time frame, with no more postponements unless they are actually requested.

Starshine_Monarch April 24th, 2009 09:21 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Well, this is going to be an actual requested postponement. I have more work than I expected to have this week, so I'll need a delay until I can get my turn in this weekend. Sorry about this.

chrispedersen April 24th, 2009 11:13 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Speaking on other matters, in the Dome thread Executor mentioned stacking multiple domes.

There is a bug on stacking multiple domes; as with all games exploiting bugs is against the rules. So I wanted to bring it up and makes sure people were aware of it before it became an issue in game....

Starshine_Monarch April 26th, 2009 07:04 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Chris has PM'd me about a mistake in the submission of his turn. Since there are so few of us left anyway, I'm issuing a rollback. We apologize for the inconvenience.

licker April 26th, 2009 07:29 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

So I assume that I should not resubmit my turn correct?

Since I was happy with it anyway, the orders part at least :p

Starshine_Monarch April 26th, 2009 10:53 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

Those that submitted turn 51 already do not need to send it again, so sayeth llamaserver. Once Chris has submitted his turn, I will force hosting as soon as I'm able so we can get on with this.

chrispedersen April 28th, 2009 01:57 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

May I request an extension? I have (or will have shortly) the current turns in. However, I have been called out of town Wed/Thursday, and so would like a 36 hour extension, delaying any processing on thursday to Fri/sat?

I don't think it actually matters in this game.. but, if by some miracle everyone gets turns in twice in a row in 24 hours.... I'd like to make sure I don't stale ...

Thanks all...

Dragar May 6th, 2009 10:15 AM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

This is just my opinion, but given that this game is moving nowhere and that Starshine is quitting, I vote we end it and declare Executor winner.. I was really happy to fight it out, very interesting game, but Starshine was probably in the next best position to win, and we are playing about a turn a week.

If people don't have the heart there is no point continuing, especially when one player is clearly on top and deserving of a win based on the game to date

That said I will always keep playing until the end if people want to continue

chrispedersen May 6th, 2009 12:46 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I'd *really* like to not end it. I know I've been responsible for my fair share (and probably then some) of delays recently.

Why don't we all just say - 72 hour turns, and no further delays.
If we stale, we stale - and we all try not to stale.

But we have all put hours and hours and hours into this game...

Executor May 6th, 2009 03:53 PM

Re: Sol - CBM EA Game on Llamaserver: Running

I agree with Dragar, I vote we declare Mictlan the winner and end this game.;)

This is assuming I can find a sub for me, and I've had no luck so far. What say we wait until Sunday and if I can't find a sub by then, we'll declare the game ended?

FakeymcFake will take the position if no one else will. Still, as he is inexperienced with marverni, he would rather a more experienced player take it.
