Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Does anyone have an appetite to attack Pythium, or are we pretty much done and clicking turns? I've enjoyed the game and my little war, but if it's over I'd be in favour of calling it. Will of course fight on if people want to

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I have been having my own little war myself and though I am haveing a good time...I am losing and the handwriting is on the wall.

If you guys want to call it, its fine with me. If not, then I will continue with my little war as i am too eeak to mess with Pythium in any way.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I tend to agree. Pythium has it in the bag - and a good show by him too!

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

OK...Pythium it is!!!

Good Job and well deserved. I will not be submitting any more turns.

Stattis, Nice job to you also, you taught me alot:D

well, we should wait for all the others to chime in, don't stop aubmitting turns until we have consensus

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I would be against giving up, but we should see what the general opinion is.

I have postponed hosting by two days so that hopefully everyone gets to participate in the decision-making.

I don't think it's necessary for everyone to surrender yet.

I want to fight it out and go down like a man. If only to see Abysia be eaten by Pythium before my own demise.

no way am i quitting, even though i'm hanging on to my 1 province with my dear life!!!!

is someone administrating this game? this is first time playing on llamaserver, i'm going away for about 10 days, and have gotten a friend to do my turns while i'm away, dumb question, but how do i go about getting the email address changed for this period of time?

i see a field in the admin options of the game, but its asking for a password....

Juffos July 3rd, 2009 09:17 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Usually people ask the game admin to change player email addresses, I would recommend trying that.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Atlantis has launched our offensive against Pythium. They have most graciously forgiven our neglect to abide by a NAP still in effect, that Atlantis was unaware of. Not that Pythium has much to fear from a few of our Kings, as bedecked Pythium is with artifacts, tartarians, angels, and elemental royalty!

vfb July 6th, 2009 09:44 AM

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Indeed, Pythium's tartarian commando forces are equipped with most impressive and dangerous armaments. Boots of the Planes! The Forbidden Light! We would not dream of tangling with such arcane and deadly devices.

Noble Pythium, apologies for our general cowardice and total lack of any sort of forces with which to battle your mighty warriors. We hope the Void sends you some entertaining opponents in the meantime.

Greetings Pan!

The Atlantian guard was on its regular duties doing its border patrolling to prevent any infiltration by subversive elements. We were shocked to find the people of Micah's Gate living in some sort of perverted anarco-sydicalist commune, without any military repression to protect the serfs from their dangerous tendencies. So we installed a temporary dictatorship led by the gallant Olgothu as satrap.

We trust you understand our decision. Please let us know if you need additional assistance repressing any other uppity peasants.

Exactly! Atlantis has born witness to the horrible preversions you land-lubbers have all been getting up to.

Whereas, in the water, the female doth layeth her eggs, and then she buggers off, and the male does come by a little while later, and maketh his deposits. Totally sanitary and complete preservation of the purity of everyone's bodily fluids.

Don't get me started on what's been happening in Machaka! I don't even want to think about that.

If the noble Machakas :censor: :censor:technics shocked you, you should have seen the crossbreeding "experiments" of Pangea. While the results were not a huge battle success and were reduced quickly to ashes by Abysia, the production of them was a :censor: :censor: of a :censor: :censor:. Aaaah the days. But back on topic:

Admit that your reproduction is inferior to ours and surrender!

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Take heart enemies of Pythium, a mighty blow has been struck by the embattled devils of abysia. A contemptuous attack by an artifact laden raiding party of 2 tartarians, a couple of mages and the Mother of Serpents Pretender god have been vanquished! The following artifacts are available for trade to any who are worthy, or offer a heap of cash to stop my troops deserting.

The sickle whose crop is pain
Tobe of Callius
Boots of callius
Ember
Nethgul
Boots of the plane

I'll leave my castle, taking 200 Meneads with me, and retire deep in the woods. I'll leave the command to a faithful priest, please be nice to him. This world was not ready for free love. Do with it what you want, damn asexual puritans.

P.S. to vfb: I planned to surprise you with an army of bogbeasts led by a bogbeast. But you killed the empowered pan with an elemental attack before he could summon a single one of them. All the love and care I put into this plan for your amusement and you ruined it so carelessly.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Oh, we are devastated to hear we missed the opportunity to measure the mettle of our warriors in a BogBeast battle! But we are pleased to have cleansed the land of preverts and frolickers. Now our shamblers turn their heads towards the unspeakable abominations that are performed in the Machakan forests. Their legions of gross Tartarians pollute our coastal waters with their foul emissions.

In any case, congratulations to Pan on outlasting both Abysia and Marignon!

Would anyone mind moving to a 72-hour hosting schedule? There's only 5 of us left and it's a pretty big map. Plus I need to come up with a new plan, since Machaka killed all my thugs with 15 Earth Elementals and Mind Hunts. :(

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

I see the timer is still at 52 hours:

http://www.llamaserver.net/admin.cgi?game=Beyond

Quote:

Beyond, turn number 74

Map: Asia Twist
Mods: CBM 1.41

Next turn due: 14:00 GMT on Sunday August 16th

Hosting interval: 52 hours
Quickhost mode: On
Reminder e-mails: Send 12 hours before hosting
That's weird, because the admin log shows a supposed switch to 75 hours a few days ago:

Quote:

...
21:35 GMT on Tuesday August 11th Hosting interval changed to 75 hours.
03:10 GMT on Thursday August 13th Hosting delayed by 6 hours.
18:50 GMT on Thursday August 13th Hosting delayed by 3 hours.
23:10 GMT on Saturday August 15th Hosting delayed by 12 hours.
Juffos, can you please have another try at setting the timer?

I'll be travelling the next two days and will be totally without internet access. I had hoped the game would host as scheduled, so I could do a turn tonight, but it looks from the admin page like it's been delayed again.

Once the turn hosts, can you please add an additional 24 hours to the timer so I don't stale, thanks!

Is Shinuyama still played by statttis?

I remember seeing a post about Shin staling, and I'm not sure if he's still in control of them or not.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Back in character (not that anyone answered about Shin) :P --

Residents of Beyond, please be aware that a fallout warning has been issued for Java and the surrounding provinces. It seems that spiders in the vicinity really, *REALLY*, don't like shamblers, not one little bit. The extreme measure of dropping the bomb on them was apparently deemed insufficient, so the spiders launched four nukes at the Javanese shamblers squatting in the slums outside the castle walls. 140 gems to kill off a few migratory workers, sheesh!

You should request the turn resend:

http://www.llamaserver.net/doAdminAc...&action=resend

I agree llamaserver looks weird. I got the last turn, and Pythium didn't stale as far as I could see. But the llamaserver web page seems to think the turn didn't host yet. Maybe we should ask for Juffos to extend the hosting just in case?

By the way, were some of those armageddons yours? I lost count.

I sent statttis a pm. He should be aware of the situation before we end this game. His opinion is necessary.

Re: Beyond - MA - Stomping on

Okay, I have received confirmation from all the players - the coalition of Machaka and Atlantis will declare a stalemate over the remains of the four past great nations.

It was a great game, thanks to everyone who played and congratulations to everyone who survived until the ending.
