Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
One player needs an extension, so +24h added.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
We apologize for inconvenience caused by our lightning. It was aimed at Atlantis that is ravaging our lands, any other casualties are just unfortunate collateral damage. Well, one way or the other, it's not like we can stop it now, so we'll all just have to learn to deal with exploding buses, exploding trees, exploding... well, exploding everything more or less. And hopefully everyone explodes equally, so that shouldn't be a problem, really. Apart from Atlantis, who should explode more :).
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Atlantis hates to inform you that the military apparatus suffered no real damage. At risk groups include young children and... yeah, young children. Adult Atlantians are made of hardier stuff, and you, child killer, have just earned our enmity.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Well we guess we had earned that before, unless these invasion forces were just misunderstood Atlantian sightseeing tours. Nevertheless, if lightning doesn't scare adult Atlantians, we'll have to kill them with fire instead maybe.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
On a desolate, windswept hill in the mountains above the former capital of Jomon, a solemn ceremony is held. There are more here than mortal eyes can see, and all are not as sombre as one would believe at first glance. The great pine box is lowered by ropes tied to behemoths standing silently to the side.
The Arch Bishop is saying something about the dead God, and how in the end he was a different person, not such a putz. A druid steps forward to sweep up some fallen chysanthemums because, well, lets just say he's better suited for that job than anyone else in attendance. (On paper, the plan was to plant those flowers around the grave, ensuring the peace after death that a respected fallen enemy has earned. But the mere sight of the things growing free has such an effect on some of us that placing the dread flora inside the coffin was thought best.) He opens the box a crack to drop in the last of the broken flowers. His eyes go wide, his face turns white. "What have you done with his body, you monsters?" he shrieks. The druid is hacked to pieces on the hilltop. The pieces are dropped into the box. The box is lowered into the ground. The throng, seen and unseen, shrugs and moves away... |

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
As the new guy here, I ask all of you - should I be patching to the new version now, yes or no? :o
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Hey guys. This game won't bore me, time almost flies.
He he he. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Can I have an extension this turn?
Lots of damage here in NY from that storm = lots of OT at work. I will try to line up a temporary sub should it become necessary. Sent PM also. Sorry guys. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Postponed the turn by 12h before checking here due player request on IRC. Adding another 12h (for a total of 24h). PM me if you need more time.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Thanks for your patience. Things are pretty much back to normal now. Anyone heard from Man?
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Nope, I'll pop him a PM to see if he's still around. If not, I believe we'll need a sub.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
...mmmmm...turkey...mmmm...
We think this turkey tastes better than we remember turkey tasting back when we think we remember having taste buds. ...mmmm... |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
For the high crime of Turkey-eating, Mictlan declares vendetta and eternal war on Ermor. No more Thanksgiving dinners for you, zombie men!
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
Little did LA Ermor realize that turkey eating was all part of Mictlan's plan. Not only did it give Mictlan an excuse for all-out war, it also caused the ingesting army to load up on Tryptophan, making them all fall asleep when they should have been girding themselves for battle!

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
No answer from man yet - anyone know a suitable sub who'd be willing to take up the position? PM me here or on IRC if you do. If I don't find anyone before tomorrow, I'll post here on the forums for a sub. I'll also add 24h to the timer for now.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. We're going!
No word from man, so I'm posting for a sub, and postponing the hosting for 60 hours. If no one takes up the position before that (saturday), I'll have someone set him AI, as his position doesn't seem to be a game winning one, though he could make a difference still. If anyone has an objection, please do voice it :)
So, Man needs a permanent sub (changed the topic of the thread to shameless advertising). Hordes of bowmen need a leader! The position isn't the best around, but should be a solid base to build on. Maybe. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. WE WANT A SUB, LOOK INSIDE!
I will sub Man. Folks can update me on any diplo by PM or IRC

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
So Ermor, how do like your Bat? Oven-roasted, or slowly poisoned? Slowly-poisoned, I suppose. We'd like to take your order for next month, so which will it be? Turkey or Bat?
I was worried you had picked up that Tempest. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Yes thank you for that. And for your varied poultry menu. We dread few things more than the prospect of the same thing for dinner night after night. ;)
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Hosting postponed by 24h due player request.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
The stomachs we think we remember would surely have been turned by the stringy red hens of Marignon, but those big, dark ones?
... mmmm .... |

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Can I ask for an extra 24/36h this turn? I will try to do as much as I can tonight, but Sat. & Sun. are going to be busy enough without firing up the game. Thx.
And Happy Easter from all of us risen dead! |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I'll add 36h, I hope you meant this turn (56) :). Happy Easter to everyone :)

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Pangaea, you could not find room in your hearts, or your vast lands for those poor lost pilgrims? A pity. :(
But who will tend those lands after you are gone? Your candles are almost out now. And you all still think we are the enemy! |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Candles.. mm... Made out of old peoples fat.. mm..

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
And so it was that after months of campaigning under the baneful eye of the Burden of Time, the old and weary Caelian forces at last lay siege to the C'tissian Fortress of Demon's Hill. Wracked with swamp disease, eyes dull with unnatural old age, and their once youthful vigor depleted, a bright flame nevertheless burned in each Caelian heart. At last, Ekishnugal, the Vile First King of the C'tis race, whom the lizardmen have foolishly called back from the dead only to wreak havoc on all living beings, was surrounded and trapped inside the Demon's Hill Fort. A great battle of old afflicted Caelians ensued against the cesspool dwelling lizards, their Sauromancers raising legions of ancient lizard corpses to do battle on their behalf. But the Caelian forces, led by the Immortal Pretender Himself, opened the heavens and deadly stones rained upon the lizard army, crushing both the living and the unnaturally reborn. His army annihilated, Ekishnugal fled, never to be seen again, perhaps to finally leave this world behind. And so the Vile Curse of the Burden of Time is lifted, and the creatures of the world are again free to live out their lives in full.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Mictlan sends thanks to Caelum for liberating the land from the evil burden!
Just wait though ... word has it those evil Ermorian zombies are scheming to recast it, pronto. Quick someone, fill up that last slot! |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I believe the nation of Ulm might be able to help with that! (or not).
Oh and added 6h due player request again. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Pangaea's dominion is not like most people's dominion. See, it goes all the way to eleven...
...with 37 provinces  |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
um, what?
The dominion leader is by far Mictlan. What does Pangaea's dominion have to do with *anything*? Edit: Oh, it is exceptionally low, isn't it? I'd blame a blood sacking Mictlan, whose dominion is *crazy*, and who appears to neighbor them. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
OOC
Yeah, I'm still pretty new to this, but getting domkilled with 37 provinces and 11 forts just seems insane. |

Don't listen to this Ermorian propaganda. They are currently trashing Mictlan's armies on the field of battle. If it wasn't for the brave sacrifices we are making, you'd all be reading the Necronomicon at breakfastime.

says Mictlan not only has twice the dominion of their nearest competitor and very nearly half that of our entire world, but also wields the largest army, by a solid margin. If we are all doomed to eternal Mictlanese servitude, at least we will go (back) to the grave knowing we tried our damnedest(sic) to stop them. Ooh, we love that book - "That is not dead which can eternal lie". Great stuff, but more traditionally at bedtime. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Added 24h due Mictlans request, he probably needs more time to script his turkeys!
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I'm not 100% certain llama is taking requests right now. It seems to be accepting turns, but I got the reminder this morning and the update clock hasn't moved since yesterday. I couldn't finish my turn last night because it took my PC 2 1/2 hrs to show me a battle replay that apparently didn't really happen, and I hope to get back to it tonight.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Thanks for the heads-up. I've done what I could under the limited time, but I've got a feeling those turkeys are gonna be someone's lunch. :)
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I'll attempt to postpone it again, but if it's not accepting the admin commands, there's not much I can do.
Edit: It says hosting on sunday now. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
It seems that our brains have become as useless as the rest of our major internal organs.
Does anyone know if they still have the "early bird" special at the brain depositary? :p |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
The nation of Ulm would like to ask "wtf?" as we're looking at the army graphs, especially one specific Ermor nation in there.
Also, I don't want to die! |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Ginormous Phallus, god of Atlantis, knows nothing of Ermorians: too busy thrusting northwards. Also, Ermorians are too anorexic for our tastes.
The scoregraphs, however, do make an entertaining read. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Mictlan is just responding to Pan's assault on our peave-loving peoples. We had no desire to go to war with them. Their dominion was just fine, all they had to do was a little preaching. We've got no idea why Caelum invaded Pan ... perhaps they may have thought Pan was going to convert to Bidet-worshiping, and they jumped the gun a little?
Jeez, here I am, busy trying to save the world from the zombie menace, and as thanks I get veiled accusations and threats, and a stomping-on by carrion mastadons. :P |

Well, we think everyone should set aside their petty differences and join forces to rid the world of the Pangaean menace. Come on guys, let's get him!
