Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Yeah it can be resisted by MR.
I think his angel has pissed everybody lol.

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Apparently in the dim mind of a zmey, lobo are larger than starspawn.

I'm guessing berserk resets all orders to "attack closest"?

Immaculate January 25th, 2012 02:57 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Does it? thats an interesting question. Did you zmey survive? can you order 'hold, hold, hold, attack' and will it hold prior to attack?

Also, the zmey fire breath attack, when you click on it, doesn't have fire as a 'type' of damage. if you are immune to fire, do you still get the fire breath or do you just get the claws and tail?

Bullock January 25th, 2012 03:02 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Yeah guys, berserk automatically switch orders to attack closest.
That's why i could trap your zmey so easily with some PD.
However im pissed your angel was the only one to survive ! Lucky him.

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

You still got some good rolls considering that it's 12 vs. 22.

krpeters January 25th, 2012 07:42 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

BTW, for future reference, are there any other "slaughter all medium MR troops" items in the game? The Ageis seems uniquely powerful relative to everything else.

Once I get enough earth gems, we can play Ageis-pong

mockingbird January 25th, 2012 08:07 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

The Stone Sword does something similar as a weapon.

Astral Tempest does MR-resisted damage as a battlefield spell.

Master Enslave doesn't kill your low-MR guys, but it takes them away. :)

I wouldn't say The Aegis is overpowered - it's certainly strong, but it's a unique artefact, and there are many ways to deal with it.

Strabo:

Any chance of a post-game wrap-up? Mostly your early game expansion, goals, and early and mid-game affairs with Jotunheim i am interested in

Am I missing some dirty joke there ? :)

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Well, my goal was to not be defeated first, so I tried to expand early and fighting Jotuns (semi-successful at first), but then the mighty Ice Devil (if I recall correctly) smashed my whole army and locked me in my second fort. Then I turtled there and gave up. By the way, thanks for a good game!

Thx for playing 'til the end, i appreciate

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

I could use another 24 hours for this turn, please.

Thanks!

Bullock January 27th, 2012 03:59 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Well it seems the extension will be more useful for Bgifu than Mockin

mockingbird January 27th, 2012 04:59 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Actually, could we just lengthen the default turn time? I think we're getting to the stage in the game where turns can take a lot of time, and it would be good for people to operate under less pressure.

Bullock January 27th, 2012 05:10 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

I think everybody will agree with that so i switched to 48h

mockingbird January 29th, 2012 02:37 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Sorry, I'm dealing with a sick pet right now and scripting communions is a real time sink.

Can I get a 24-hour extension, please?

Thanks!

Dojango:

Any comments or post-game wrap up?

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

@mockin: Nice victory again, i wasn't expecting a fire storm despite i knew you had lot of fire mages in here. However i'm quite surprised your mages didn't burn either. i tried this spell with abysia and even if my troops were fireproof they were burning like others... Is it because you have reached the 150 fire resis that you mage didn't burn ?

i'm quite confused with this spell.

mockingbird January 31st, 2012 09:28 AM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

I've always found that 100% fire resistance is enough. I don't know how to explain your experiences with Abysia.

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Could we set Agartha to AI ?
Thanks

Anaconda February 4th, 2012 03:06 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

No we cant. I still got my unbeaten army awaiting wolfs to come.

mockingbird February 5th, 2012 12:05 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Maybe it's not needed because of the server troubles, but I am going to need another 48-72 hours to get this turn done properly.

I may pass on playing Pythium ever again just because all the communion scripting is so tiresome.

Immaculate February 7th, 2012 04:40 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

My very first real victory against pythium- it only took about 20 turns but i finally bloodied his nose. I got to say that was fun.

mockingbird February 7th, 2012 04:49 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Yeah, I forgot you had access to Rain of Stones via your pretender.

Bullock February 7th, 2012 04:54 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

hehe congratz imma :)
Too bad again i saw nothing

how many mages did u bring down ?

Immaculate February 7th, 2012 05:21 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

from memory, sixty-something... lost a faerie queen though :(

mockingbird February 7th, 2012 05:25 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Rain of Stones is brutal when you aren't expecting it.

Definitely not the first mistake of mine this game, but probably the most telling.

Bullock February 7th, 2012 06:25 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

60+ !! i was expecting 30 max lol.
Nice one

mockingbird February 10th, 2012 03:15 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Nice job Immaculate.

Immaculate February 10th, 2012 03:16 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Now i really want to open the turn but i can't because i am at work late. Can you tell me what happened?

(edit: I have no idea if you are being genuine or sarcastic- either is fine- its all in good fun)

EDIT 2: hopefully i didn't lose my SCs.

EDIT 3: oh this is killing me.

Immaculate February 10th, 2012 05:33 PM

oh... well then that makes things obvious and alleviates my worry completely. Thanks bolluck.

Oh- wait.. that clears nothing up at all

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Hi
I will be travelling overseas for work, from Wedndesday 15th February and will be back on Tuesday 21st Feburary. i won't have access to a computer during that time, can we either have the timer paused during that time? Or can we organise a sub for me for that week ?
Sorry for the inconvenience guys

Bullock February 12th, 2012 06:52 AM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Since you are a fat nation & at war i think we are going to put the game on hold ;(

Can you play this turn ? then i postpone for a week.

cool_hc February 12th, 2012 08:42 AM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Thanks

Yes i will play this turn AND the next turn too. Please don't postpone until after the next turn as I'll definitely get these two turns in before i leave.

Wow, what a nice gift from R'lyeh! :)

what did he give you (inadvertently i am sure)?

Bullock February 13th, 2012 02:16 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

The rings of wizardry of course !! :)

Immaculate is playing Pythium in an other game ... no need to say more ^^

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Aw, and here I thought it was a sign we could finally be friends... :)

I'll pass it along to its intended recipient. Although you know, at some point the two of you are actually going to have to fight it out to see who gets to reign over creation. :)

Hi Bullock

Just a reminder, I won't be able to get my next turn in until I come back frrom my trip on Tuesday 21st Feburary. Could you please pause the timer until then.
Cheers

Bullock February 15th, 2012 04:13 AM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Yeah it's done. See you in a week :)

Immaculate February 15th, 2012 11:24 PM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Finally i got that stupid angel!!!

Regardless of how this goes, Mockingbird you definitively get MVP for this game in my books. It took three dedicated nations to take you down and for a long long while (maybe until jotunheim collapsed) i wasn't sure if we could even win...

mockingbird February 16th, 2012 12:51 AM

Re: Colonial Conquest - MA - (Running)

Yeah, I was too tired and forgot to have him teleport somewhere else. Oops! :o

Thanks for the compliments, although I don't really feel like I played my best game in this one.
