Memory types can be a bit confusing at times... especially because some sellers screw it up. "PC400" probably means "DDR 400MHz" since it says it's dual channel, which is the same as "PC3200".

WTF:P......You want to splain that to me.

Dual channel means two memory channels as opposed to one for the old DDR standard. (Almost twice the bandwidth)
For DDR
PC2700 = 333MHz
PC3200 = 400MHz
Top end sticks are now
PC4800 = 600MHz
Top end DDR2 sticks are
PC6400 = 800MHz

If you are not going to OC, just get 2 sticks of the fasted standard that the board supports. It takes 2 sticks to make use of dual channel.

Right now, the best bang for your buck would be an AMD64 rated somewhere around 3000 or above. Be sure to get a SD version.

I said it was probably DDR because as far as I know, only DDR is dual channel. PC400 could also have been referring to PC400 SDRAM, which is a lot older and outdated, but the dual channel part implied not. And I said "DDR 400MHz" is the same as "PC3200". So... not really sure what I need to explain, since I basically said the exact thing you did http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Just razzen ya, SDram would be PC66, PC100 and PC133. And RDram on 820 chips sets was dual channel as PC600 and PC800, quad on the 850 and 860 and added PC1066.
