Re: The Neo-expansion pack. Version 1.30 available now!
Three questions:
Can I choose a Neo Standard set when playing in a TDM game with no other mods. If so, what will happen? Is there a list of the ships and suggested Tonnage.? |
Re: The Neo-expansion pack. Version 1.30 available now!
And of course that won't work! geesh

Re: The Neo-expansion pack. Version 1.30 available now!
Gryphin, yes you can. All a neo-standard compliant ship set does is have extra pictures in it. If the mod does not support the extra pictures, they don't do anything.
Dogscoff, here are the extra images I have used, though some are already in the NeoStandard. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif Scout Cutter Corvette Frigate thru Cruiser have a Light and Heavy Version Baseship CarrierEscort CarrierFleet CargoStation SpaceFortress WarStation TransportHuge WeapPlatformHuge All of the Fighters in the mod are: FighterOrbital FighterAttack FighterInterceptor FighterHeavyInterceptor FighterBomber FighterHeavyBomber All of the troops in the mod are: Infantry Light Mechanized Heavy Mechanized Small Battle Mecha Medium Battle Mecha Large Battle Mecha |

Re: The Neo-expansion pack. Version 1.30 available now!
Thanks, I tink I've got it.
In the Gryphin Mod EDIT: Correction I replace the VehicleSize.txt with the one from the Neo Standard, **** Disreguard the rest of this. c:\SEIv\Gryphin\Dat\VehicleSize.txt I put Scout, and other names from the Neo Standard, (NS) I make sure the vehicles I ad have a secondary ship designated in case an image is not available. Everything works. Did I get it right this time? [ January 03, 2003, 16:33: Message edited by: Gryphin ] |

Fyron answered your Last question well enough, but I'll add that you've probably been using the Viking shipset for ages, and never even realised that it is a neostandard set. (Mostly) Fyron: Interesting list. Quote:

I have to confess that the thought of adding new sizes to the neostandard does send a certain chill through my spine, although that's mainly because it means I'll never get the vikings finished. That said, it was agreed from the start that the standard could be added to, and it couldn't really do any harm except that ppl seem to have trouble with the concept already, and introducing a V2 neostandard might turn ppl off. Anyway... Fyron's mod sounds very cool, and it would be a wonderful thing to see it illustrated in full glorious techneocolour. I think it might be excessive to add *all* those new sizes, but I guess it comes down to how many of them are likely to be used by other mods. I can see the Ultimate vehiclesize mod snapping them all up immediately, but I'd like to hear what other ppl (especially other modders) have to say on the subject. No, it is in pre-alpha stages at present. If it were released, it would probably be in my sig of all places. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
