I didn´t need to post 2 fullscreen pictures to show how graphics look distorted http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif
I've noticed that when I increase color depth from the 65k I use normally to 16M instead of looking distorted, pics look "underlined" with distorted details, but everything works too slow.
Maybe it's just my outdated machine, but there should be a way to solve this.

Andres,

Have you tried the game in windowed mode?

Hit f4 to toggle between fullscreen and windowed.

Give it a try if you haven't already, and let me know.

No window mode does not solve anything.

i broke into the 4000s a couple days ago. now to shoot for the 5's

was that "Terran's go MEE" thing serious, or just a joke? can we expect a new and improved scrolling shooter?

I hope to be able to find the time, but I am also working on a serious turn-based strategy game, and beta-testing. I just got a new system and it's running Windows XP and im porting everything from my old system still....like 30 gigs of graphics and resources. Oh, and I have a full time job and I'm married, so I don't have a ton of free time. But, I'd like to make the MEE game with every shipset SEIV has ever seen.

THAT would be time intensive. can it be extensible with external modules? for example, can the EXE simply reference the \pictures\races directory for its images? it would be slower loading, but performace should be the same, i would guess.

of course, it sounds like you have SO much free time on your hands, you will probalby be overwhelmed just trying to decide how to spend it all. While this means that we might be without scrolling shooter updates, the flip side is that one of us has a full and happy life http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

I'm having a hard enough time just making games from scratch right now, I will admit that I used existing source code to make the other two , much less being able to make them editable. I'm trying to make a game from the ground up now, using all original art and sounds. It sounds impossible, but, if I win the lottery, I'll actually have the time to do it before computers are cyber-neural nets.

5015. Almost got Fyron's record.

both great!

getting stuck on corners made the drukman game pretty hard to beat tho.

Yes, the Drukman *I thought it said Drunkman when I first saw it* is a bit hard to control; it gets stuck when trying to turn; although the EEE battlecruisers don't seem to get stuck as often as I do.

Edit: But It's still a fun game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif thank you for bringing this old skool mini-starfury into our laps http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif
