I was curious if we could get another hoster maybe this same group could start a second game with different nations so it would be two games playing with the same group of people. Just a thought.

Probably a lot of us would pick different nations unless the nation you have you know it is the nation you really like. I and probably others are still experimenting with nations and/or pretenders so playing a second game with our group here would be a lot of fun since we are kind of familiar with each other already.

So anyone got a spare computer that can act as the server?

And I wonder what ever happened to JDScherryey.

I am interested but I am playing 3 games all at the same stage, turn 20 odd (this is behind but catching up). The turns will start to take longer at which point I do not know if I will have the time (assuming I am not eliminated in any)

So assuming I will either get eliminated or switch to a slower schedule in the mid - end game I am in.

alexi...everyone here are newbies, majority is that this game we are in right now is our first so i dont see a problem of putting you in if this second game actually happens

basically all we need is a host and enough of us that want to participate

Well Norfleet is currently hosting our game right now and really don't want to bother him about hosting another. I on the hand have my computer on 24hours and would have no problem with hosting a server for us to run our second game(and then I can come up with the wildly sarcastic name lol).

Aku, Drool, Pickles(maybe), new guy Alexi, anyone else so far? We would need to decide on a map and game settings.

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Okay, cool. Have you tried hosting before? If you have a firewall or router, it may need to be tweaked to open up a port and whatnot. Depending on the firewall, this may take minutes, or it may take hours - might want to do a trial run and have someone try to connect.

If you've already gone through this before, I'll shut up http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif but it can be frustrating, especially after you've already announced the start of the game.

yeah we have tested it with me connecting to klatu before

for game settings...norfleet recommended when we started our current game to play karan...you guys want to give it a try

if we play karan there were 3 files...do we dl them all?

also for events they happen like every turn on common but on rare they still happen a lot but it isnt bad...so i recommend the 2nd game for events to be on rare

also for magic sites...how about at least 50 this time?

indep strength i guess 6 or 9 i dunno, 7 indep like we have now just seemed odd

world richness...either normal or rich...no clue on that one

put hof on 15 and renaming allowed

these are just suggestions to get the ball rolling

for my nation i would like to try out abysia if tannath isnt using them again

Maybe you should start another thread for this other game of yours. Otherwise it gets kinda hard for me to sort out when somebody is referring to the game I'm hosting, or the game you're hosting.

Klatu is in middle of something at home. If Pickles gets to his turn first I can always call Klatu up and he will hop on to do his turn.

I got off to a bad start. One of my mistakes was overreliance on archers. Also as I believe you guessed Aku I did do a attack on the first turn and lost most of my archers. however I did not actually intend to win that attack but instead do a hit and run. However I had my archers were there one turn too long apparently and the barbarians I attacked took most of my archers out. I then encountered Pickles we made a treaty but it ended when Pickles thought I had cast seeking arrow on him. I am willing to bet that Klatu was responsible considering he was the only other nation in the game other than me with strong air magic. When the treatie ended Pickles came in and crushed the poor excuse of an army I had.

The seeking arrow(s) was annoying but it became a case of "Remember the Maine!" - Caelum was ripe for the taking and he might have cast seeking arrow.

Man can cast seeking arrow as can Ermor (pretender I assume) so it could be anyone (you are all on my little list)

The ****** unrest might be Man's bard's or Ulms spies & they will not own up I expect.

I have been having trouble getting into this game today. I hangs on the "getting game information" screen. I got in long enough to do my turn but cannot check (paranoid)

It is only this one - other games run OK
Anyone else have trouble?

just on one try today but i closed the game bec it didnt look like it was connecting and tried again immediately and it worked fine

Tannath I am not sure if you staled by accident or because you felt there was nothing to do in your turn but at least log into your Last turn so you can read my in game message. The in game message I hope you get the turn that is up now because if it is not there then it was on the turn prior that staled.
