w/ pangea sort of gone(AI) and marigon stalled sounds like a lot of free land over there. maybe a sub or perhaps Bluebird would like to take over and leave his lands for the vultures http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Ye. I staled. Don't have much computer access. I thought I could get my turn in but the computer I had access to was messed up so I couldn't. I'll make one turn now, then I'll have trouble again.

Crash is pulling out so Marignon is up for grabs, or will go AI.

I'm afraid I must withdraw from this game. I cannot make my turns.

I'm going away for the weekend and would appreciate if you could hold the next turn until sunday night, CET. Since my neighbour - Marchaka - has just declared war on the world it seems a bad time to stall.

Thanks

Knudsen, Ulm

I got parole from the planned visit to the inlaws this weekend due to expected heavy snows.

As a result I was able to make my move, and we can move on at our normal pace again. But thanks anyway.

he stalled last turn and maybe the turn before and currently he is the last one w/ 2hrs left.

That Panther's optimism is something really admirable! He's really putting up a good fight and those claims he made earlier about his strength weren't all smoke and mirrors either. This has been a really fun war so far, indeed!

On another note, is Pythium still with us? I think he's staled every other turn for a while already. Did he get this last one in?
EDIT: I must be blind or something, nevermind! Sorry Cohen!

I agree. It's been a fun war. I'm happy I didn't have to fight Marchaka on my own. An thank you, Panther, for your forcefull reminder of the value of mages against heavy infantry.

The Panther March 5th, 2005 07:05 PM

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

Fun war all around. It has been a blast fighting a non-stop war with everything at your disposal. And if Ulm were to seige my castle again next turn, he will lose everything once again.

Nice job with the devils Jurri. I still hope to kill some more of them. You have only lost 60-70 of them and I had hoped to kill more. Of course, they are full of afflictions now also, which is always annoying. hehe

A couple more turns and I will be done for. Good gaming and good luck to all remaining players.

Hehee, did you learn anything, Knudsen? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif (I happened to spy the battle...)

Panther: I thought you had more dudes in your castle than that. The dragon was a let-down, too http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif It did kill many devils with the wing buffet even after being blinded, though, which was neat. I just looked through my devils a bit, perhaps a third has afflictions. I noticed that losing an arm doesn't take the trident attack away, which is quite weird.

Yes. I learned not to pay my troops in advance.

Standard letter to parents of the members of the Ulm Heavy Infantry:

"Dear Sir and/or Madam
We regret to inform You that your son has been enlisted in the Glorious Heavy Infantry of Ulm. Your sons personal effects will be sent to you as soon as his death is confirmed."

The Panther prowls again! In just a few turns he's apparently summoned himself a brand new humongous army that has blasted through his Ulmian besiegers. I wonder what he'll do with his newfound strength?

Quite sry, I thought I told all the games I was in, for the last week my parents have been in mexico, so It was hard for me to play my turns since I was at my aunts house. I will resume playing today.

The Panther March 16th, 2005 12:44 PM

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

Ah, the Panther's new summoned army is going devil hunting! Before he leaves this world, the great cat must punish the Fiends of Hell who instigated the elimination of the peaceful Spider Empire.

As for my god, he lost an eye in the first province he took. He lost the other eye on about turn 6 and was pretty much useless ever since that point. So annoying. Why could he not have gotten something less troublesome like a chest wound or never healing wound???

Fighting wars to the bitter end is so much fun.

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

It was an extremely great battle, the kind that makes Dominions a splendid game. Mages firing shots at everything in sight. Devils and imps crashing on my back ranks. The relentess marching of ground pounding troops into the fray. Epic indeed!

I killed about 60 devils, 50 imps, and 20 mech men. But no devil commanders, for they were all cowardly hiding in the back. I believe that Abysia has paid a dear price for capturing my capitol. So did Ulm, who lost even more troops in the war than did Abysia (though weaker troops in general). Plus, Ulm did not even get my capitol. Too bad for him!

Unfortunately, the staff of storms came one move too late to be of assistance. I did return the staff to the original owner with thanks.

It sure was a fun game, since it incurred a ton of pure fighting. Good luck everybody on the remainder of the game.

Why's that a big deal? We don't have a victory condition... (And here I was, playing until turn ~40 until I realized that bit! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/redface.gif)

The Panther March 18th, 2005 07:54 PM

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

Oh, I had thought that the victory condition was 7 capitols. Maybe that was a different game, though I could have sworn it was this game with that VC.

Soapyfrog March 20th, 2005 02:04 PM

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

That was last game... this game there is no VC.

However capitals are stil important given the awesome special sites they usually have.

I always wanted two steel ovens...

Is there a particular reason for not making T'ien C'hi AI? He's been AWOL for well over a week already, and is just stalling the progress of the game.

I missed a turn, but the Lizard King is still here http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

From next Saturday I will be out of town for over a week, however the situation for me looks grim and it is very likely I am not around anyway then :p If however through a miracle the Lizards survive to next weekend, I kindly ask the GM to make C'Tis AI from 26th March.

Re: Fools Lament III (modded) - Recruiting Now!

Well the first assault was costly for both sides but Abysia failed to take the capital.

One Arch Devil and a slew of devils, imps, and mechanical men were slaughtered my my stalwart giants, however the giants got jammed up fighting summoned skeletons in the castle entrance while counterattacking, and the battle ran to the max length, causing my Niefel Jarl to fatigue and die.

I am taking cash donations! Contribute to the Save the Giants fund! All donors will receive a small handful of gems for their trouble...
