Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
if we don't dispel Nexus soon we might as well surrender. anyone up for it?
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I think its a shame that Arcane Nexus is often a game ender. I was having fun with this game too.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Ermor offers to overcast the Arcane Nexus, with the profits to be shared among the gem contributors. Minimum total astral gems collected should be above 300 before I attempt this.

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
yeah it's true Nexus is pretty much a game ender, way too overpowered imo. But given the circumstances that R'lyeh has many connected sea provinces as home base I reckon we won't be able to stop him even with a successful dispel/overcast.
I will have a lvl 9 astral mage available in 1-2 more turns and I can probably attempt to cast it too. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I don't see how its a game ender if you all join up to overcast it... Just need an honest caster.. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I believe I'm as honest as they come http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif
I will add that if any one of the Arcane Nexus, Inc. shareholders would be eliminated, his share would be distributed among the remaining shareholders. The exact amounts of each member's contribution will be PMed to each shareholder. The communal ownership of Arcane Nexus will have no bearing whatsoever on Ermor's diplomacy. Even if you are at war with me, I will still send you your share of the Arcane Nexus. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Yeah well maybe the game is not ended yet but we better dispel gift of natural beauty as well.
Well I'm more inclined to cast a dispel, it would be fair to everyone. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
A dispel would not be fair at all, as everyone would try not to contribute and just hope someone else makes the sacrifice.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Interesting logic...I think you should really say a dispel is not fair to you http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif
Sadly the fact is that no one except for us is offering gems http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I offer my pearl stores, but I have so few.

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Few in Atlantis, as well.

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
********* Your Attention Please ************
As the second most powerful nation in the world, the Nation of Ermor announces the following Decree to all the inhabitants of Discordance: ERMORIAN DECREE OF THE SUMMER OF THE FIFTH YEAR OF ASCENSION: 1. Whereas the Nation of Ermor has NAPs with Caelum, Ulm, Mictlan, R'lyeh, Atlantis, and Tien Chi; 2. Whereas the the Foulspawns of R'lyeh has cast the Terrible, Evil, Nasty, Incredibly Vile Arcane Nexus; 3. Whereas a Proposal has been put forth to Overcast Arcane Nexus using pooled resources, and with subsequent profits to be shared among contributing nations; 4. Whereas there can be no neutrality in the matter of the Terrible, Evil, Nasty, Incredibly Vile Arcane Nexus (unless of course if its benefits are shared by all); The Great Nation of Ermor hereby terminates all NAP with the above mentioned nations, specifically, Caelum, Ulm, Mictlan, R'lyeh, Atlantis, and Tien Chi. Expect Ermorian Legions to sweep across your lands in 3 months time. War is hereby declared also on Arcos, with which we do not have a NAP. War with Ermor may be avoided by becoming a shareholder of Arcane Nexus Ermorian Version, Inc., Ltd., Pty. To become a shareholder, donate a minimum of 50 astral gems to the effort of overcasting Arcane Nexus. To the shareholders of Arcane Nexus Ermorian Version, Inc., Ltd., Pty, the Nation of Ermor offers 25 month NAP, plus a share of the gem profits in proportion to your ownership of Arcane Nexus Ermorian Version, Inc., Ltd., Pty.. The NAP with Pangaea is preserved as Pangaea has pledged to support the overcast. If there are any nations that we have neglected to mention, please do not feel insulted, we declare war on you too. To the Nation of R'lyeh, notwhitstanding your casting of the Terrible, Evil, Nasty, Incredibly Vile Arcane Nexus, you are also invited to participate in the Initial Public Offering of Arcane Nexus Ermorian Version, Inc., Ltd., Pty., and the same pacts will be applied to you. To the inhabitants of Discordance, we apologize for this earthshaking announcement. We promise to make this period of conflict as quick as possible, although sadly we can not guarantee that it will be painless. Should this Ermorian ploy fail, the results are expected to be known in 5 months or less. Ermor will then concede defeat, and offer all its assets to R'lyeh, the obvious victor. The Aspiring God of Ermor will then turn over the task of overseeing the lands of the dead to the Omnipotent God of Bytes. The remaining inhabitants of Discordance may then seek to fight on at their leisure whosoever they wish. Addendum: Arcane Nexus Ermorian Version, Inc., Ltd., Pty will only be established with a minimum capital of 500 astral gems. The company will not be established if pledges total less than this amount. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
ROFLMAO an official Ermorian blackmail.
Come on people donate your astral gems. R'lyeh is getting way too strong it will take all of us to bring him down. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
The Ermorian Nation do not have any astral gems either, but we will alchemize ALL our current stock of gems. Approximately 250 astral gems will be contributed by us.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Or we could all just consider your blackmail offensive and launch a combined attack on you, making sure Rlyeh wins(as opposed to you winning, which is the likely case if rlyeh goes down).

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
although it may appears Ermor is the second strongest nation on graph, I don't see it as a particular threat at the moment, in fact it is rather fragile. So imo to make above so called decree was really not such a good idea, it would have been more effective if the leader of Ermor attempted to awake his fellow nations' anti-r'lyeh awareness, instead blackmailing all of us for the personal gain.
I guess that's the very nature of the undead. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif |

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I would like to request for a longer time between turns. This is my first time playing LA Ermor, and the sheer mass of units to be organized and given orders is unbelievable.
Adding one more day or bringing it up to 72 hours would be great! |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Given the speed I decimate your forces that should not be a problem.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I'm sick and I propose that we postpone the hosting till Evilhomer can find a new sub.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Given the way I've won the last 10 or so consecutive battles using minimal mages that should not be a problem http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif
Just a barb right back http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif I'm ok with the wait while we find a sub. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I'm pleased to see that you changed the host time from 72h till 48h while I was sick so that I would miss more turns. Now that I'm back you may change it back to 72h as there is nothing to gain from 48h.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
LoL
well to make you feel better, I managed to miss two turn for whatever reason http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif and no I wasn't sick. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I believe you missed two turns this week and last. Don't worry, nothing much happened, except that I got some research done. Now that you are back, maybe I'll finally get some income out of my Arcane Nexus http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
There was server reset a few days ago I think that might have caused the change back to 48 hours
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Does this need to be 72?
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I was the one who requested 72 hours before. I'm ok now, as two of my games have wrapped up, and another two have stopped hosting for two weeks already.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
OK. If anyone wants to push it back to 72 - just let me know.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I would like to have the game on 72 hours again.

Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Tien Chi is about to die either due to a dominion kill or simply being conquered by the evil nation of R'lyeh so, with our death imminent(ie: next few turns) we here-by open our borders to the world and invite all players to come and conquer our lands.
Provinces of interest may include: Storn Woods(182) which produces 3 Death gems and enables the recruitment of necromancers(D2 no randoms). Ophaleph(145) which produces 3 Air gems and 1 Astral gem. Monherboa(113) Producing N1F1 and allowing witch recruitment. Other provinces: Birman Heights(176) producing D1S1N1 Nydian Ranges(166) producing D2W1 Terrym(164) producing S1 Assad(143) producing S2A2 Feral Woods(127) producing D2 and enabling ghoul summoning Tien Chi(129) is also yet to be conquered although with several hundred of R'lyehs troops outside it should not take long. As a warning to Ermor my capitol does contain many priests who were attempting to prevent dominion kill so losses are to be expected. The nation of Tien Chi also forged the following artifacts earlier in the game: Fenris' Pelt The Chalice(fun fun fun) Winter Bringer Woundflame The Boots of Calius the Druid Nethgul The Astral/Death Twin Spear The Sword of Aurgelmer(very fun) We also have in our possesion: 1 Enchanted Sword 1 Faithful 1 Dusk Dagger 1 Light Weight Scale Mail 1 Dancing Trident 1 DemonBane 1 Pair of Boots of Stone 1 Eye Shield 1 Herald Lance 1 Starshine Skullcap 1 Rime Hauberk 1 Blue Dragon Scale Mail 1 Chain Mail of Displacement 1 Bear Claw Talisman 1 Ring of Tamed Lightning 1 Lead Shield 1 Jade Armour 1 Pair of Winged Shoes 1 Ring of Regeneration 1 Skullstaff 1 Thistle Mace 1 Moonvine Bracelet 1 Ring of Sorcery 2 Horror Helms 2 Pendants of Luck 2 Shadow Brands 30 Fire Gems, 139 Air Gems, 50 Water Gems, 17 Earth Gems, 104 Astral Gems, 198 Death Gems and finally 45 Nature Gems. We know we wont be able to spend our resources well in our current position and with dominion kill coming up we may not get to use them. All the items, gems and artifacts listed must go so either PM me or post a reason here of what you want and why and I shall consider it. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
LA Ermor of course would like to have possession of the unique artifacts, especially the Chalice and Sword of Aurgelmer. The ring of sorcery and other path boosters would also be very welcome.
Any gems received would also be used to destroy the Evil Rlyeh, whom we will fight until the end. We thank the noble masters of Tien Chi for their help in putting up the Arcane Nexus, and assure them that their spirits will live on in the Arcane Nexus, and that we will eventually triumph over the alien scum. (I always wanted to say that, he he). |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Looks like most of the stuff will be going to you, LoloMo - nobody else has said anything.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
To be fair the game is rather hopeless at this point, R'lyeh has pretty much won.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Nah, I don't agree with that.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
I don't think there is a clear winner. Its just clear that I am not http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif. I will have pretty little influence, so I am setting myself AI come this weekend.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
damn... that changes things for me.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Resuming LA Rlyeh
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Sorry about that LoloMo, although I hope my gifts make up for it http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Haha, thanks Shovah32, they will be put to good use plowing the madmen under the ground =)
|
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Thanks for the game everyone. It looks as if its going to R'lyeh now but you never know I guess.
Im suprised that I lasted this long with my dominion so low http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif. |
Re: Discordance - Random Nations, Late Era (Signup
Thanks Shovah, see you in another game. I will attempt to prove you wrong. Check back in this thread once in a while, you might be surprised http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

Hosting
Can this turns hosting be posponed 24 hours - I will be hard pressed to play it otherwise.
|
Re: Hosting
It's been postponed 48 hours.
|
Re: Hosting
This game is set on 48 hours quickhost
Can it be changed back to 72 hours ? its very late in the game and the pace is to fast. |
Re: Hosting
reset
|
Re: Hosting
Can we have another 24 hours on this clock. In part I have plenty to do and recently I have not been able to connect at all.
|
Re: Hosting
Ok, I'll have to be the one requesting for an extension this time. My video card conked out on me, and somehow, it corrupted my windows and some of my files. I rushed my comp to the shop and bought another video card, but I'm kinda too pooped right now to redo the 3 hour turn needed for this game.
|
Re: Hosting
Whats the status with this game? I just checked the scores.htm file and it looks like Evilhomer has won as he controls 202 provinces. Did the game recognize the win?
