Re: Xmas

Well I must say this wait is getting a bit too long for me too. Waiting an extra day for someone ok.. but extending it to 5 days KNOWING it will last another x days because of holidays isn't good. Not doing a turn between x-mas and newyear is not good either.. but I guess we are minority... and I dont'have a problem getting net access so I'll just check daily http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Why not find a replacement instead of going AI, caine? Plenty of time to find one with the holidays on

djo December 28th, 2007 11:24 PM

Re: Xmas

I've been sieging his capital for about thirty turns now, so it hasn't been interesting for him for a long time (I'm guessing). I doubt his going AI now will change things much.

Turn 22

Turn 22 is out. Sorry for the delay. We will be back on track after New Years Day.

I have still not received contact from LP, and I suggest that we turn him AI if we don't hear back from him by the next hosting.

Re: Turn 22

So when is the turn due, Pasha? I'm unsure since we've been off schedule for a while.

As for LP - Shouldnt we advertise for a replacement before setting him AI? I hate it when functional nations are placed AI in a game it makes for unnatural power vacuums.

I'm not able to do my turn until I find a working link for CBM. Stupid motherboard.

Re: Turn 22 / Possible Sub for Agartha Needed

The turn will be due on New Year's Day.

Ironhawk's point is a good one. If someone would like to take over for Agartha, that would be great (assuming LP does not show up).

I cant say im the best LA Agartha player ever, but I would give it a shot if you need a replacement fast. I can fire up a couple Single player and figure it out. Agartha is generally my favorite nation. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

We've caught a liar peoples

Hello Aezeal:

I received notice that a Midgard diplomat was caught screwing the
daughter of an Atlantian aristocrat.

I have no choice but to give you immediate notice of the termination
of our NAP. The three turns start now (Turn 21).

So, the attacking can commence on turn 24.

Pasha

P.S. I imagine that it will be fun to have a war against you, even if
I lose. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif

and ... I could have taken half his lands last turns yet he attacks me a turn early.. think about it when dealing with atlantis.... they are ruled by liars.

Haha thanks for the update! This game is definitely heating up. :O For me too..Caelum is a bastard...(although It may have been our previous ruler who started the war.)

Looks like three to me; am I missing something?

Re: EPOTARA (PBEM Game) - Open

I agree with Aethyr, that timing looks fine to me - I dont believe Pasha was in the wrong. Both players had three full turns to issue orders to thier men before combat started. When someone tells me that a NAP is terminated, I assume that the current turn counts towards the warning period.

Jomon has recently encountered an influx of scouts, assassins and other miscreants spying on our humble country. The discovery of any such unauthorized vagabonds from unallied nations may be considered an act of war as we Jomonese are very private people. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

Just a lost tourist...nothing to be alarmed about. You may send those large standing armies home. No need for them to be camping out along our borders. Send them home to play with the geishas.

Anyone who tries to take the former Mictlan capital will find it guarded by a bunch of defenders. I think you will find it to be quite difficult to break down the gates before my large eastern army arrives.

Turn 26

Hello:

Turn 26 is out.

Deadline is Thursday.

Pasha

djo January 9th, 2008 08:14 PM

the summer people are here early this year

We are flattered by the recent wave of immigration to Ulm. Clearly our neighbors are discovering what we have known all along, the beauty of the Ulmish mountains, the peaceful green of Ulm's meadows (especially now, in spring, when the wildflowers are blooming), and the charm and kind-heartedness of the Ulmish maidens. However we must insist that you leave your weapons at the border! This is for your own protection. The young men of Ulm are prone (we are sad to say) to heavy drinking on the weekends. Normally the damage is no worse than a few black eyes and broken barstools, but if well-meaning but ignorant immigrants bring weapons into the equation, we fear for the worst (for you, not us--Ulmish youths are likely to get the wrong impression if you show up at a bar fully armed and eyeing aforementioned Ulmish maidens, and they are likely to go home and come back with their cousins and their own weapons, and that would go badly for all).

So, in summary:

-- visitors welcome
-- no weapons
-- and please tip your server 15% on the way out

Re: the summer people are here early this year

It is time to institute some discipline in Ulm. We in Jomon are frankly a bit tired of enduring the drunken escapades of Ulmish frat boys straying across the border on their weekend adventures, deflowering our geishas, breaking Asahi bottles over Jomonese heads, and peeing behind the sushi joints!

Aezeal January 11th, 2008 07:28 AM

Re: the summer people are here early this year

I think you should all set priorities straight and take on man.. they are AT THIS moment conquering their thrid VP.. I know I had a bit of a headstart but I'm not going anywhere with man and atlantis on me.. Atlantis is not that much of a thread but if anyone takes them on I could use more resources to keep man in check.... I'd say that for other players it's better that me and man keep eachother busy for a long while... at this rate though man will have it's 3th (and maybe 4th VP rather quickly... and considering that abyssia is not THAT well defended either and he's about 3 turns away from that caitol afer taking the former utgardian one... well 5 VP can be easily reached in about the time you'd need to react after I've een defeated.. I uss most you dont'kn the situation around utgards former capitol.. but I'll tell you.. you should worry in a gamewhere 5VP mean awin.

So I would ask of you who neighbour atlantis but mostly man... divert some attention of your armies that way.... ifyou have NAP.. cancel it NOW so you can act before ít's too late. Give man MORE pressure!!

Oh, pshaw. Everyone knows the red-blooded men of Ulm don't eat sushi, only beef (served rare).

Hey Jomon... come eat the atlantians then... those fisheads make perfect sushi.. and you'd help a good cause too. The atlantian/man war machine is a threat to all living things.

DonCorazon January 12th, 2008 03:24 AM

Re: the summer people are here early this year

Yummy but Jomon is nowhere near Atlantis - we are landlocked. Ask Ctis or Marignon - they might need some fish oil in their diet.

Lies lies lies!

Aezeal January 12th, 2008 11:55 AM

Re: the summer people are here early this year

Atlantis is allied with man to become a superpower.. oppose them NOW or we will all have to become slaves of man (including atlantis who is obviously getting the worst end of the deal since most of my troop can only fight him while man can take the VP's, but the fishheads don't seem to realize this)

DonCorazon January 12th, 2008 01:56 PM

Re: the summer people are here early this year

Well if we ever see any Atlanteans (other than the scout we just executed) we will consider your request. In the meantime, please leave the peaceful nation of Jomon to its rice harvest.
