Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Lanka would like to request a pause till Friday 3:00 AM GMT
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
uhh, well i hope you took your turn because hosting just went.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Arco is looking to trade for air gems. I've got pretty much any other gem to trade or gold.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
The bloodthirsty demonic inhabitants of Lanka have declared war on Arcoscephale! With their forge of the ancients their massive gem income, and their massive landmass it can be determined that Lanka is the most powerful force in the game. The free nations of the world must unite to throw back these demonic abominations! If Lanka is to inherit my land it will surely become unstoppable.
Now, those of you who do not border Lanka and are not taking up arms must be asking yourselves "Oh no, we can't reach Lanka, there is nothing we can do to stop our inevitable demise!" Well my friends, you'd be mistaken. Not only can you hammer Lanka with ritual spells (I can even suggest suitable targets) you can quietly help fund my war effort with donations of gems and gold. Of course there are probably a few cynics out there who may ask "How do we even know Lanka has the upper hand?" Well the truth is that I don't even know if Lanka has the upper hand...time will tell. But can you really afford to take that chance? Can your...children? The Lankan armies should be aware that they will find few virgin slaves in Arcoscephale. We Arcoscephalian's are a lustly lot. All demons who enter my land will be promptly banished and all monkeys will be herded up and shipped to Ermor to take part in gladiatorial monkey knife fights. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
We declared this war just because sitting at home is rather dull and boring. Our monkey people are really tired of that, 'cause they think it's worth visiting other lands even though they are inhospitable. Only a few of them can sneak, so I had no choice other then to agree.

Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
In the mean time, C'tis will fight R'lyeh and Atlantis. C'tis great mages just killed Atlantis' supercombatant pretender. Victory is sweet. Now Atlantis knows he can't send super combatants to take my lands.
Hmmm... oh yes. Argitoth, the Saurolich is back from the dead, recalled by his priests. He shall wreak havoc upon his enemies. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Very impressive SC's and very nice use of them Ano. Far better preparation and utilization of your troops than myself. My favorite part was when my king of elemental fire ran into the SC with 150 fire resistance (Mind you he was not quite properly outfitted for fighting) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif Whoever ends up fighting Lanka after me should be prepared...and have some friends because I doubt anyone can take him 1 on 1...and I'm not just saying that because I couldn't http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif.
My God is dead (for the second time this game...damn Niefelheim) and my country falls apart around me; but I still have some bite left in me. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Tir Na Nog has betrayed C'tis! It is a shame, because I would gladly march my final army into Lanka's territory to prove C'tis might. The last stand for C'tis will be in Lanka territory! Hurray for the great prophet of C'tis!

Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
You're welcome to prove what you want to, mighty Argigoth

Server is down?
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
uhh server up?
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Isn't it already a time for new turn, hugh?
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Hey ano, please message me if you need something. I can't keep track of how many hours are left after I restart my computer. If you think it's been 48 hours, should I skip Tir's turn?
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
48 hours already passed. I think, we should wait a bit more.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I'm going to force host in about 5 hours from the time I made this post.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Revolution, I don't want you to think that I lost ('cause that was a lose) that battle due to ineffective planning or something alike.
Things should have gone in quite another direction, but... http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/thr...vc=#Post591761 AI thought that he was more clever than my script:( |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I wish I had placed my golems better http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif If they had been at the gate with storm of thorns slowing your advance to a crawl I probably would have held the province and not lost a dozen commanders as they tried to flee into enemy territory. Antimagic worked well for you though, it's disappointing seeing falling frost hit a group of bunched up units for next to nothing. (at least that's why I assume that spell was so ineffective for me)
Shame for you about that mass flight though...if all of your units were flying you would have torn me up... the only reason I held was because I was able to stop you at the gate for so long. Any idea why my castle did not fire on you? ---edit, that was a pretty cool fight by the way. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Frankly speaking, I can't call this fight a good one. I really, really dislike losing fights due to unexpected bugs. It is very frustrating...
I didn't take my thunderstriking/storming bane lord into this fight planning that you won't expect there will be no storm. And you didn't expect that. I planned rather small loses and what I received in return?;) Btw, it seems that I lost the only commander in this fight - a Dakini who was supposed to fly together with the others but became a lone victim of a friendly Bane Fire instead)) As for the falling frost - it didn't work well due to luck and high protection of my sacreds (it does 17 nomral damage while Kala-Mukhas had 18 protection and luck, MR has no effect on it). Don't know about no arrows from the castle. Maybe, another bug. I can't find any explanation. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
if spells dosn't fire as you have predicted, there usually is some kind of reason, other than a bug, perhaps it was made impossible for the caster to do it somehow.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Janlm, read the thread, I attached a link to. There was no reason for the spell not to be cast, AI just decided that Arrow Fend will cause less fatigue)
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I'd like to request the pause until Saturday morning (approx. 10:00 GMT). I just have too much work this week...

Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Monkeys were angry, sorry...
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Ano, prepare to meet the undefeated C'tis army. It is our last stand.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I never even touched you. Why is this "last stand" against me?
Just curious... |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
You destroyed Niefelheim and you have powerful units as well as global enchantments. I want to show you that they are nothing compared to the powerful C'tis army.

It is already mine, actually. However, I don't see anything bad in it. Anyone does?
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I'm sorry, Argigoth for the "powerful C'tis army". I never attacked you before, but the apes don't like intruders in the lands they consider to be theirs.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Dang, why didn't I cast rain? I just didn't think of it. That sucks.
*Computer control* |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
On second thought, I'm going to return to my castle to for backup and see if Rain would have helped at all by attacking again in a few turns.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Rain wouldn't have helped because it just increases fatigue from using fire magic and there's no way to gain more fatigue than 200. Anyway, you're welcome.
Just good old way to destroy armies... |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Thanks for the game everyone, was a helluva lot of fun. Ano you absolutely obliterated me...was a good learning experience. From the first day of our war when a dozen SC's Cloud trapezed into my land I knew it was over. I was hoping to do a bit more damage to your armies in that final battle but you were pretty much prepared for anything.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Thanks to you, Revolution. It was a good fight.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Revo, thanks for joining my game!

Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Nation of Lanka now controls more than a half of the living world, and if any of remaining nations (Agartha, Ermor, R'lyeh, C'tis, Tir'nan'og) still do not agree that there's no true god other than Bu, the Oracle, I would like to ask to increase the hosting time to 3 days permanently. I need 5 hours or even more for planning each turn and I simply can't afford spending that much time here on weekdays.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I cant see any problem with that. I dont think the game will last much longer anyway :-(
BTW I have to thank here the Agartha nation for the help given this last turn, it is a pity our roads crossed so early in the game. |
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
fine with me. And no, i'm not going to submit to anyone called bu as long as i live http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Why don't you like the name, Janlm?)
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
heh, I don't actually have a particular opinion on the name.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
I don't know what to do. It's time to host and R'lyeh hasn't taken his turn, but has logged in multiple times.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
Probably, Janlm should have written something either via PM or here.
|
Re: War of Dominion - Early Ages: Noobie Game (OPE
sorry about the delay, i have taken my turn now..
|
Re: Dominion (CLOSED) - Waiting for pretender file
I don't think i'll have time to take my turn today, can i have an extension to sometimes tomorrow?
|
Re: Dominion (CLOSED) - Waiting for pretender file
alright i paused it. dunno if anyone is going to complain though
|
Re: Dominion (CLOSED) - Waiting for pretender file
