Honestly, I never knew there were any NAPs in effect, I do remember suggesting way back when, that we should deal with the AI's first before attacking each other, but I suppose that could be regarded as the same thing.

Well, I know I have one with Ermor, and I guess I just assumed I had one with you guys as well. And I still feel like we should pretty much wipe out the remaining AIs before attacking each other. I just wanted to be sure I did not have NAPs in place with you guys, in case 2 or more of us are greedily eyeing a choice province.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

On an aside note, to Ermor. I don't think I can accept your claim have to all the remaining water provs. You seem to be barely moving into the water, while I take the brunt of the R'yleh attacks. I'm afraid I have to take the battle to R'lyeh, to protect my own interests.

Aristander April 4th, 2009 07:23 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

My ocean statement was mostly "bravado" as I figured with my hordes of undead getting into the water would be easy. R'lyeh's capital has slowed my expected expansion. His capital will fall within the next couple of turns and then I should be able to sweep through the ocean.

I will not take it amiss if Vanheim enters the sea.

Lingchih April 5th, 2009 12:13 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Yeah, R'lyeh can be a *****, even under AI control. I'll take the water provs I consider important to keeping R'lyeh off of me.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Need to request a delay, + 48 hours.

Septimius Severus April 7th, 2009 02:27 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

On second thought, it might be better to just let me stale 2 or 3 turns, I wouldn't want to delay the game for everyone else, at this point it's not really critical, only AI's to kill. Expect to be back in a week.

Lingchih April 7th, 2009 10:31 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Maybe you could find a sub Sept?

I promise not to attack you while you are out, anyway.

Lingchih April 8th, 2009 01:06 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, it kind of seems that Sept Sev has dropped out, for a while at least. Do you guys want to continue? I'm still having fun, and I think there are some major, awesome battles to come between us.

Aristander April 8th, 2009 09:08 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I agree with you Lingchih that the game has the potential for some huge battles. My issue is that as the weather gets nice I have more outdoor responsibilities and less time for Dominions. I am also going away the week of school vacation April 19th. It may be best to stop although I am willing to continue at a slow pace.

Lingchih April 8th, 2009 07:44 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, I'll put another day on the timer, in case anyone decides to do their turn.

Lingchih April 9th, 2009 02:12 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I have posted a new message on the llamaserver page, reflecting the status of this game. Basically it's just, if you want to keep playing, keep playing, and I will keep up the admin for as long as needed.

I personally have a few things I want to do in the game, so I will most likely keep it going for a few more turns at least. But then, once it becomes just me doing turns, there won't be much point to it.

For any who are quitting the game, please set your nation to AI, so I can test my armies against your built up forces.

Thanks.

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Don't count me out, I'll be able to submit a turn probably as early as Monday, Tuesday at the latest. Yes, I too would like to see some large battles and high level summons. I haven't lost interest in the game.

SteelyDan April 9th, 2009 02:35 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I've not missed a turn in ages and I don't plan to. I don't believe there's really any reason to quit until there are real problems, more than just a week's delay.

Lingchih April 9th, 2009 10:43 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, OK, if you like. I thought Aristander said he was bowing out though. I don't think I can take an AI Ermor on my border. I'm quite willing to keep playing... actually having a lot of fun. But both Ermor and Ashdod staled this turn, and it will take quite a while for just us 3 to finish the game.

I'll go ahead and set a long host on this turn, so everyone that wants to do so can get a turn in.

Lingchih April 9th, 2009 11:42 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I have sent a message to Aristander, asking if he would be willing to remain playing if I set the game to 96 hour. If he agrees, we can continue the game, on a 96 hour host. If not, we can still continue the game, but I will be busy killing Ermor. Ok with you guys?

I'm generally the sort who's in a game for the long haul, I'm not perturbed over delays and don't lose interest easy, unless I'm bored.

96, 120, makes no difference to me. Though, I'm afraid we'd probably have an issue with standing by while you gobble up Ermor for yourself, if that should come to pass.

Lingchih April 10th, 2009 08:05 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, we could try to find a sub for him, though I'm a bit doubtful we would be successful. Aristander has so far not responded to me.

I guess, if he just left Ermor to stale away, I could promise not to attack him, and we could just kind of ignore that nation.

OR... I could have someone set Ermor to AI. That would be kind of rough on me, but it would keep me busy, certainly.

Aristander April 10th, 2009 08:52 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Sorry everyone but between Holy Week and Work this is the first chance I have had to send a message. I should have asked for a delay. I am willing to continue especially if we increase hosting delay. I will try submit my turns in a timely manner.

Thanks

Lingchih April 11th, 2009 12:13 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I'm glad you decided to continue Aristander. On the conclusion of this turn, I will set the host to 96 hour. Hopefully that will be good for all of us. Of course, the game will take like another year to complete, but what else do we have to do in our downtime :)

Septimius Severus April 14th, 2009 03:48 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I'm back up. Should have my turn in before the game hosts.

Lingchih April 15th, 2009 01:16 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Damn. R'lyeh is a tough AI. They just kicked my butt. Better put some thought into this turn.

Lingchih April 17th, 2009 02:24 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Hmm. I actually set that 96 hour for Aristander. No need to take advantage of it Sept.

Lingchih April 17th, 2009 10:06 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Well, my parachute drop into the northwest a few turns ago seems to have been a mistake. R'lyeh and now Agartha are kicking my butt. I may have to bug out of there, and let Ermor and Arco handle them.

Jeez, does AI Agartha have every single prov castled? What a nightmare.

Lingchih April 19th, 2009 01:43 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I will be going on vacation starting May 2. I will be out for 7 days. I will delay the game for that time. If this is not acceptable, please let me know, and I will turn the admin over to someone else, and stale a turn.

Pity about that Storm Queen.

Stale turn from Ermor. I'm not sure if Aristander is still playing or not.

Lingchih April 24th, 2009 01:00 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Got a Heliophagus this turn. I'm sure you all are jealous, since I now have almost all the blood summons. Hmm, maybe I will go for a Demon Lord next turn :)

Lingchih April 25th, 2009 09:29 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

So, what do we do about Ermor? I'm open to suggestions.

Lingchih April 25th, 2009 11:40 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

To be more specific, Ermor has staled the last two turns, and will probably not be back. His forces are huge and formidable, and he has globals up.

1) We can end the game now, and call it a draw.

2) I can set Ermor to AI, and we can play on.

3) We can try to find a sub.

PS: I have posted in two places for an Ermor sub.

PsiSoldier April 26th, 2009 01:17 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Ok It appears I am subbing for Ermor Something I have a bit of experience in as I am also playing MA Ermor In Preponderance which is on almost the same turn that this game is on. Although I have yet to see how similar or dissimilar the builds between this one and mine.

I understand I am not at war with any players in this game other than AI so that's good I guess.

Lingchih April 26th, 2009 01:20 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

You are the permanent Sub Psi. Aristander has quit the game. Hey, it's a 96 hour host game though. No pressure or anything. I have set you to take over Ermor, and you have three days to figure everything out.

Thanks for joining.

Everyone, please welcome PsiSoldier to the game. I am sure he will be a worthy opponent.

Lingchih April 26th, 2009 01:31 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I should also say that Psi is not held to any NAP's that may have been present before he joined. He is free to do whatever he wants to do.

That said, Psi, I think we are all just trying to kill off the AI nations right now. But feel free to do whatever you want, and that includes attacking me, if you wish.

Oh, I am Vanheim. Septimius is Ashdod, and SteelyDan is Arco. All the other nations are AI.

Sorry for the double post.

Hrrrm I'm guessing the previous Ermor player wasnt the most experienced around... (((3))) Rings of Wizardry on my pretender... When anything over 1 has no effect...

Seems to have been a bit slack on site searching too..

PsiSoldier April 26th, 2009 01:37 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Yeah I suppose for now I'll just concentrate on AI as you all are.

Yeah, this was a Noob game. Then they asked me to join to liven things up. I can't really say how well Aristander was doing, but he at least seems to have set things up well for you.

Hey, good to have you Psi. And I hope you do well. You should have a great arsenal to work with. We are headed into late game now, and it should be interesting.

Yeah he was busy at least. There is a lot of stuff to look through here, Took me a while just to find my pretender. I think there is a hotkey for that but I don't remember what it was.

I think Ive pretty much figured out what he was doing and how to improve it though.

I probably will be attacking you with my prophet before long though Lingchih so that you can kill him for me if you don't mind :D

At this point in the game I dont really think I need a prophet reanimating longdead horsemen.

Septimius Severus April 26th, 2009 04:29 AM

Assuming Aristander has officially quit, I too welcome Psi Soldier.

Feel free to attack Lingchih as often as you like.:D

Well, Aristander staled twice in a row without any communication for that same period of time. On a 96 hour host too.Add that to the fact that he had previously quit the game, and only came back because we begged him. I count that as officially quitting.

PsiSoldier April 27th, 2009 07:37 AM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

Dear God.... Apparently he had the Tax rate in the capital set to 200% for the entire game.:eek::eek: If anyone feels like casting Black Death on my capital or something go right ahead... Wont make a damn bit of difference. Of course I'll have domes up soon enough for what little bit of good it will do.

Heh and I found another commander with double Waterbreathing with a robe AND a ring lol

Lingchih April 27th, 2009 08:44 PM

Re: MA Newbie game - Faltering_Steps - Running

I'm hitting breakneck pass (216) this turn, to try and take my lost castle back from Agartha. It's a pretty substantial force going in there, so if anyone else wants to try and take it, prepare for casualties :)

Maybe she's lazy? Welcome, Psi Soldier. I have to say I found Ermor's choice of global enchants a bit strange as well, although perhaps there are reasons... I'll take the extra rings of wizardry off your hands any time you'd like though.

If you could dispell that Wrath of God global I think everyone would appreciate it.

Well, he can't get rid of it except by killing the caster, which I don't think Psi would want to do. If everyone sends me astral gems I can dispel it though.

How many Astral would you need? I tried dispelling it once before but apparently alot was put into it.
