Can I ask for another 24 hours postponement? Sudden problems here...

Kk, postponed.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Perhaps it is time I apologized to the rest of the Lapis world for the Armageddons I have inflicted on all of you. I have no desire to hurt nations that aren't Pythium, but right now the best way for me to damage pythium is to destroy his income and hurt his huge armies of communioned mages and the best way to do that is Armageddon, as I have few resources left to outfit Seraphs. I plan to fight this battle out to the bitter end and the best way to do that is to slow down Pythium with Armageddon.

Its true I have no chance of winning, but I don't plan to quit without using all of my resources to hurt my conquerer.

Just thought I owed all of you an explanation.

I think its yet another 'burning earth' case, which is bad enough in the first place in my opinion, and the fact that you also burn me doesnt help it.

We could ask for compensation...

Me, I'd like earth gems. ;)

Either this game or my nation has a summoning bug. :(

I need a 12 hour delay if possible, didn't receive my turn from llamaserver :(

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Sorry, I missed to send in my turn as well (dang, it was prepared), but 5:54 GMT (your post) translates to 7:54 AM local time, which is unfortunately out of my regular mail checking schedule.

Toran September 4th, 2009 05:20 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Ahem. To help my forgetful mind, I'll change the "reminder mail" to 9 hours instead of 6 hours, since this was exactly in my personal night period. Hope you don't mind - pls let me know IF...

Due to a player's request, hosting is postponed for 12 hours.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Had a most interesting fight. One of my characters got assailed by an Agarthan under the waves.

The Agarthan was tooled up to rip my water dweller, and real good too. Tooled up to the teeth.

But no worries, the AI decided to ovverride my scripted orders, and it did well. Freezing in the opponent it took an eternity to close on to my side. Of course in the end my toon fainted from exhaustion of repeating the spell over and over. Of course the opponent fainted too then, gaining nice fatigue from the cold. Both woke up, the Agarthan closing in with the speed of a snail in tar (as he was freezed up all the time). Both fainted. Both woke up. Both fainted. Repeat ad nauseum. Finally, the Agarthan was *almost* in range to deliver the killer blow, and then the 50 turn limit hit.

Baalz, thanks for the gear you left on the field, again ;)

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Dang. I have just returned from hospital where I was for a knee surgery. They had promised I would get back yesterday, but then decided to keep me there for a boring night. With two games to complete for submitting a turn, I wouldn't really manage to get a single one in with a proper turn. I hope you don't mind me if I postpone for 24 hours - the lengthy games/turns take their toll, but I still enjoy 'em - hope you will as well, even with that delay.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Merry Monkeys of Bandar Log demand Agartha to hand over the infidel mage who dared to cast Arcane Nexus, or be destroyed by the Anti-Agarthan Alliance, hereinafter just AAA.

Join the AAA now and fight to live to see another day! Dont let pale usurpers get all the cookies!

Toran September 11th, 2009 10:24 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Not only has it come to the attention of Pythian researchers that an Arcane Nexus affects life expectency of baby kittens negatively, justifying the resistance of any good-hearted human being (* scaly neighbours included as well as monkeys due to their pre-Pythian stage of development), but the continued above ground brewing of the infamous Agarthan "Pale Ale" is responsible for 47% of the global air pollution, which clearly demands immediate action.

Join the AAA now and get a quiet environmental conscience for free!

Jarkko September 11th, 2009 10:59 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

The war with the merry monkeys was a near fatal mistake for C'tis. The advisors who suggested that war have been eaten.

The lizards are pleased to see others have also found the truth: Agartha is evil. C'tis is very happy at how well our AA alliance began the counterattack.

C'tis would kindly like to ask Agarthan teleporting/flying super-combatants to *not* litter the land with various bits of gear anymore. The lizards have dutifully carried all things found to the vaults of C'tis, and the vaults are about to explode now. To add insult to injury, lizards can not eat the rocky bodyparts, and they are starting to become a serious enviromental problem :(

While we are at it, I'd like a 24-hours extension. I wont be able to plan my turn during the WE.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

Can we postpone hosting till 21th? There are lots of things to consider in current situation...

Toran September 18th, 2009 01:07 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 7/16 Players left

You're not asking for 21.00, but for a three days delay, correct? Just not to postpone for too long.

Kuritza September 21st, 2009 07:15 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Achtung!!!

We are losing Pythium! Discharge!

Toran September 21st, 2009 07:18 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Nah, we are not, believe me. Pythium is having a hard time right now, his pretender having a semi-permanent knee affliction, but he's working on the turn already.

It's just in-time delivery (bad enough if something happens to interrupt you, I know), but I'm getting/reading thread notifications as well, as you can see ;)

Toran September 30th, 2009 01:00 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Well, although the AAA is doing great and will obviously manage to save the world from pale domination, a certain Pythian pretender god is asking for (and delaying himself :p) a 24h postponing, since he's finishing the final version of his PhD thesis and needs to submit it today. Hope you understand.

And don't forget - the enemy is pale and has stinking feet!

Postponed by 24h on player's request.

Jarkko October 7th, 2009 06:50 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Don't you fellows get bored of always somebody getting Arcane Nexus up? Can't we all live in peace and stuff, what with the evil Agarthans practically dead and everything?

C'tis is willing to take on the burden of leadership, the lizards are after all the weakest of the remaining powers, so you just need to surrender. Wouldn't that be the perfect solution? ;)

Kuritza October 7th, 2009 08:39 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Nexus is a funny thing... sometimes it makes you a winner, sometimes it kills you. Go figure.

Ossa October 7th, 2009 10:25 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Great timing for me - Pythium starts attacking me (Marignon) exactly on the turn I finally put the nexus up. Heck, I guess I'm still behind in gem income even with it.

Toran October 7th, 2009 10:29 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Oh well, you were asked to participate in the great AAA's defensive war against Agartha and decided to let the remaining free people of the world do the dirty job, sparing your forces.

And now, with all the gems saved that you did not invest into defeating the Agarthan threat, you're so ungrateful to put up an AN telling the world "I'm king, please obey and surrender"?

I say "No way!" - Pythium will not let you become another pale Agarthan clone that is going to claim world supremacy!

Ossa October 7th, 2009 02:21 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

I herewith renounce any claims to world supremecy! We people from Marignon only wish to be left to our prayers.

Toran October 8th, 2009 03:07 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Yeah, as if AN did not come with a built-in "pile on me or die in 10 turns" claim....

On an unrelated note, I'm right on my turn, but have selfishly delayed by just two hours to complete it.

Toran.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Heya - hate to just talk to myself, but I'll be back a bit later this weekend, thus probably not making it until the dead line - which I'm postponing for 24 hours therefore. Got a few units to move....

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

As the current Llamaserver conditions seem to a bit flaky, I just added 24 hours. I have submitted my turn, but it's not shown (as probably for many of you, too).

Game is still on auto-host, so if it comes back to react AND has all our files, it should work. Dunno. Maybe. Let's wait...

Toran October 23rd, 2009 05:23 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Kk, Llamaserver seems to be up again. I'll leave it with a long delay for now, as I don't know how frequently Ossa and AlgaeNymph check the llamaserver status/their mails/this thread, but it'd be nice if you could submit your turns as soon as possible for you so that quick host can kick in.

Kuritza October 23rd, 2009 07:00 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Oh by the way.

I will leave for a vacation trip for two weeks, 30th October till 15th November.
I have found a sub, but I wouldnt like to miss many endgame turns. So I'd ask to switch hosting shedule to 1 turn/week. Ideally, I'd like to postpone this game for 2 weeks, but that might be a bit too much. Or not? ;)

Toran October 27th, 2009 03:25 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Dang, sorry for leaving that uncommented for so long.

Dunno what the others think - I could even live with a 2 week postponing without actually abandoning the game (it's my first game where I'm still around at turn number >80...) - but it's up to the others to comment on that one as well. A 1/week would be possible for sure IMO.

A pause would suit me. Not that I am going anywhere, but a bit hectic at the moment.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

I've no problem with a pause either.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Well, even without Ossa stating his opinion, I guess we have a majority of votes. So I'll delay the next hostrun - kuritza stated in a PM that he *might* get a turn in earlier, we will see.

Helloes!

Still no turn, sorry. I'll try to do it in the next few days.
Meanwhile - behold! Kuritza, King of the Markatas!

Hm - Kuritza said he's on a family vacation trip. I'm wondering if the picture shows his family on top of their bipedal transport? :p

I mean, that would be the perfect holiday entertainment for a bunch of Makatas :p

(and what's that pink thingy in the bag?)

AlgaeNymph November 15th, 2009 03:01 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Could we extend the turn reminders to 12 hours? I can't possible see how 6 hours is a good idea since the reminder and turn can all happen during one's sleep.

Toran November 15th, 2009 04:16 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

That's why it's already set to 9 hours instead of 6. If others think so as well, or at least don't mind, I can increase it to 12, though (and I'm on my turn right now ;)).

AlgaeNymph November 15th, 2009 04:17 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Oh, sorry, I read 6 for some reason. I also just woke up when I did so.

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

I know it might seem like a lame late excuse, but I'm enjoying a case of influenza for two days now. Haven't bothered to check mails or consider Dom3 (sry you :)), so I absolutely forgot. Not that I could do a real turn with 39.5°C fever (dunno °F, we're using international standard units over here :p).

Anyway, I'm sleeping all day and will delay by two days. If I manage to do my turn, I'll do so ASAP, promised.

Toran November 19th, 2009 07:08 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Still can't think strait due to fever, sry guys. If you thin its a good idea to look for a sub just for one week (unprobbly), maybe do so, otherwise I'll just stick to my bed adn try to recover. Never had a real influeza before, boy, it's nothing I'd love to repeat...

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Perhaps a 24-hours extension will be due. Looks like most of us have some things to consider.

Toran November 26th, 2009 12:25 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Well, if you're asking for it, it shall be granted. I mean, it's not as if I had more than three different units to coordinate anyway.. *sigh* :)

And hey, it'll be turn 100. Time to celebrate :p

Toran November 30th, 2009 12:57 PM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

Whoo, celebration then. Together with a nice dose of blood shed, of course. And while at the turn-100 party, I'm asking for a 25h delay.

Yay!

Kuritza December 2nd, 2009 04:47 AM

Re: Lapis MA CBM Running 6/16 Players left

To commemorate the Millenium, Bandar Log have killed the false God of Nehekhara.

People of the world! Join the Merry Monkeys on their quest for peace, and you will find a proper place in our wise caste system. Stability and bananas for all! Humans will form a new caste, higher than Vanaras but, of course, lower than Bandari; lizards will get to retain their swamps (as if someone needs this miasma), all undead will finally get a proper burial.

Make love, not war!
