Delayed hosting for shard.

Also I am going away for a couple of days. Hopefully Sombre is going to sub for me (although he doesn't know that).

I would like to request that whenever Sauromatia gets his turn in, we process that one, but that the next hosting not take place before midnight pacific time on monday. I am going out of email range.

Many thanks,

ah sorry i'm still at the airport, flights been delayed - some overblown rubbish about swine flu qurantine. If Llama or sombre reads this i'd need a 6hr delay on the timer.

Otherwise... well, prolly wont too make much of a difference in the larger scheme of things ttul

Well...that's what I'd call luck, shard. I just turned the pc on and noticed the hosting was due in 3 minutes, and you didn't send your turn. I barely managed to delay it by 6 hours:D
Anyway I'm back, and beside retaking arcoscephale (thanks grudge for the subbing) I can admin again.

Hmmm....

I can see that the turn hosted on the LLamserver site, but I did not get a turn file. What's up?

I am going on vacation from the 13th to 28th of July. It won't prevent me from playing (I hope...) especially since we will have a 48h time after turn 20. however as I will be travelling on Monday I would like to ask to delay the next turn (turn 20) by 24h to Tuesday evening GMT.
Many thanks and sorry about the bothering.

Re: Crusaders - Mod Heavy Ea game [Game Started!]

I'd love to not have to take this turn tonight, when I'm really tired - I've been real busy with all kinds of stuff and the timer expires tomorrow before I can come back from work. But I don't have the admin password to postpone the turn and llama isn't about.

I think I'll have to take the turn and hope the timer is extended and I get a chance to resubmit when I'm less tired :/

Sombre July 12th, 2009 07:21 PM

Re: Crusaders - Mod Heavy Ea game [Game Started!]

Oop, sorry, llama isn't the admin on this one. Well I'd still love the turn extension, even by like 3 hours.

To all the land dwellers,

The nation of Oceania is looking for water gems and would like to trade them for nature gems. If someone is interested, you are welcome to meet our representative in our private office to discuss about the numbers.

I think this is the turn Anthropos needs a delay as well.

Amonchakad is the admin again now.

As of Kiet's request, I postponed the hosting to tuesday evening.
Also, I've turned quickhost off for the moment, so the game doesn't accidentaly process with sombre's bad turn.
Sombre, when you've resubmitted your turn, let me know, so i'll turn quickhost on again:)

Ok, I'm out of the game. Next Turn, I'll set myself AI.

Well played T'ien C'hi. Prepare for a suprise next turn :D . I really liked how you got my phoenix out of the equation in the last combat. I really should have given the bird some magical attack, eh?

Amonchakad, you probably should take another look in the starting provinces if you use the same map again sometime. I ended up on a island with only 2 land neighbours and 3 water neighbours, which really limited my Ancient One production. (And of course my dominion kept on spreading into the underwater neighbours, which made my phoenix useless for expansion.) I'm not bitter or anything, s*** happens, but it's something you should be aware of.

And all of you, please give feedback if you find something out of place or feel that something is under/overpowered. Together we make the modding community a better place!

To the Lords of the Land,

The Immortal 'F3S2E2W2S2' of T'ien Chi is no more, grounded to dust by the valiant defenders of Sauromatia. It is a pity that he of the imaginative name will not be reborn in his capital to convey the message that the partitioning of Sauromatia will not be a straightforward matter. While superior troops and strategy continue to stymie the brute force brought to bear against our lands it will only be a matter of time before the numbers will tell and we will fall.

As such, knowing its inevitable end, Sauromatia, given the straightforward incentive of gold, will more than happily concentrate her remaining might towards one of her aggressors.

High Witch King of Sauromatia

Re: Crusaders - Mod Heavy Ea game [Game Started!]

High master Wong has left for a meditation retreat somewhere west of Sauromatia.
Reports of his death are greatly exxagerated.

T'ien Chi's difficulties in that area of the continent are clearly caused by the high rate of turmoil and trouble with some invading trolls.

To the Lords of the Land:

Sauromatia's defense of his lands has indeed been valiant. The fact that he has been able to maintain a defense for so long against so many underscores our original point: this is a mighty foe, and there will never be a more opportune time to take him down.

Do not be seduced by his dying promises. Do whatever you can to keep the pressure up and make him defend multiple fronts. Let us slay this beast.

I'm going to update CPCS (CrossPathCombatSpells) soon, which is in use in this game. If anyone has anything to say about the spells added, I'd appreciate if it was posted on the mod thread (see my signature for link). The idea of the mod is to make randoms more exciting and allow for more tactics on the battlefield. If you view some spell as too strong/weak/hard to use just drop a word to the mod thread so that I can fix the issue.

And if any of you have ideas for new cool spells, I invite you to suggest them. I'm often replacing spells in the mod if I notice that they aren't working as imagined they would.

Dragar: Happy belated birthday. I hope you enjoyed the flayed corpses of the burning ones i sent over :angel

Burnsaber: Don't forget H2 on Sauromatia! I've got feedback on some of the other spells too but i'll wait a wee bit longer and let my invaders enjoy the fun.

And those were fun battles this turn eh, my dear sirs from Helheim and Oceania? My modus operandi now is to just make sure none of my invaders don't win this darn game :envy:

eh... i dunno about that, he is playing by ear doing his turns rather fatalistically 40 minutes before the deadline on his netbook on the way to work. Somewhat reminiscent of speed chess days :p

Ooops, oh yeah back into my dark cloak and skull face mask...

The High Witchking will not go down other than with a mountain of his foes' corpses. And as its looking to be a big mountain, he'll have to separate little sections for Helheim, Abysia, Oceania, Tienchi and Tir Na Og. It is unfortunate that some have gotten cold feet and have resorted to stealth and remote controlled earthquakes, little chance for glorious slaughter there.

Re: Crusaders - Mod Heavy Ea game [Game Started!]

Sorry for spamming these messages, but I'm going to update Holy War mod soon, which is in use in this game. If anyone has anything to say about the changes in this mod, I'd appreciate if it was posted on the mod thread (see my signature for link). There are other mods in this game that also change stuff, but the workings of the Holy War mod are easy to spot.

1) All of the new holy sites are from this mod. Are they too common? Are the recruits too good? Too weak?
2) All of the new researchable pure holy combat spells are from this mod. "Chastice", "Faith Healing" and "Smite Heretic" are from this mod too. Are they usable? Are they enough to warrant recruiting some priests after turn 20? Could they be too strong even?
3) How about the summons (a'k'a "Call Guardian of X" spells)? They're not meant to be game-breaking, just generally useful.
4) How about the common indy-priest nerf? People okay with it?

Here is a list of changes I'm already committed to doing, just in case.
Quote:

- Add amonchakad's description fixes
- Templar Abbot should be cheaper 100gp->70gp
- Explain the lack of sacred status on Wardens trough description text.
- Buff Sauromatian's H1 priest to H2.
- Replace Warrior Monk's Chi Kicks, due to CBM giving the "Chi Kick" weapon +4def.
- Due to some nice modding trick, I'll likely be able to make Preachers drop to H1 casters in combat, allowing me to reduce their ridicilious encumberance.
If you don't want to give feedback because it might reveal some stragetic secrets, just PM or e-mail me. Getting all the needed fixes to the next version would make my life a lot easier.

Gaah, having already postponed the game so I could take the turn, now my computer is not working properly so I can't take it anyway. I've sent the turn to Baalz, who will in any case be subbing for me from tomorrow till September 3rd. I've put some more time on the clock (sorry to delay things further), put hopefully the turn will process soon if Baalz take my turn, and Arcoscephale also moves.

On a totally unrelated note, what happens when you run out of gold?
