Eh? Someone's not attacking Pan? Who is that slacker!?

Just you wait! I have no access to their lands. I would gladly take any if you gave it to me though...

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I'm going away for the weekend. After this turn hosts, can you please add time so I can do my turn on Monday night? Thanks!
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Certainly. I'll add time so that it'll host early morning tuesday EU time.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
So, how many Capitals do the Turkeys have? How many are they currently laying siege to?
We have the Agarthan and the C'tissian Capital only aside from our own. Victory conditions for this game is 7 capitals for 3 turns. Sneaky Turkeys! :p |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
That's "Turkeies" according to the game!
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Oh, don't worry about us Turkeies. Pan is besieging the lovely fabled capitol of Mictlan as you speak, with a massive horde of foul carrion beasts. We do not expect our walls to withstand their bludgeoning.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Oh, hold on a sec ... if Caelum just has Agartha, C'tis & Caelum, does that mean Atlantis has Midgard, Atlantis, Arco, TC, Aby, Patala, and Bogarus!? Did I miss one? :O

You're a fine one to cast aspersions on others - how many provinces away from Ermor's capital are you? How many fallen capitals have you stripped from his hands? |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
We have reason to believe, after discussion with Ermor, that Mictlan owns the following capitals:
Marignon, Utgardt, Midgard, Jomon, Gath, Mictlan (his own) We also have reason to believe he is sieging another capital (Pan's? He's sieging a Great City), and is pushing near to Ermor's. In other words, beware, Mictlan is dangerously near winning, possessing 6 capitals and potentially acquiring 2 more. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
See? It's what we've been saying all along.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
You haven't destroyed us yet? What a slow attack).
Also, Mictlan does have our(Pan's) capital, so know it in your calculations. |

We believe Caelum also holds Midgårds cap. We think it was under C'tissian control before the whole incident with Burden of Time, and we didn't take it.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Hmmm. :P So everyone's just putting their own diplomatic spin on things. But if there's one thing I know, those undead dudes are always trying to pull one over on the living. Definitely can't be trusted! As soon as you do, they sneak up behind you and eat yer brains.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Last month, Mictlan aquired 3 capitols. On turn 64 we held the capitols of:
Mictlan, Gath, Pythium, Pan, Marignon, Utgard, Jomon. It's turn 65, and although Pan still has a few forces besieging Mictlan, they cannot harm my walls. Even if someone teleports a massive army onto another of my capitols, they will not be able to storm until turn 67, so I will have held 7 capitols for 3 turns. Does anyone else have 7 caps since turn 64? Atlantis or Caelum are the only nations that come to mind. I can attach the last couple turns if Mictlan's victory is not disputed. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
I almost posted to conceed, figuring you had enough capitals and no one had a way to take one. I see it would have been accurate. I do not care to contest.
Damn, I've just about got 6 capitals (just captured Bogarus and shortly to capture Patala), and was thinking about striking out for a 7th via massive air drop. So i'm like 2-3 turns behind you. I blame C'Tis - they totally screwed up my scouting. =p Well played VFB, too bad I wasn't close enough to really do anything about you. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Well, considering you were Atlantis, and I was Mictlan, you had a pretty awesome game yourself! Just 2 or 3 turns behind is really good. I'm surprised you didn't Armageddon wish, to trash my blood hunting. Was it you that snagged the Chalice in the end?
I'll just wait to hear from Caelum, to make sure their diplomats weren't understating their capitol count, prior to posting my turn files. |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
We have known for some time now that it would be Mictlan or Atlantis. We will then return to our slumber, to prepare for the next chance, however long it takes. The parties in Jomon were fun! We were planning to get back there soon, but not soon enough. :(
Good game, all. At least we went down fighting. The rest of you seemed to welcome the prospect of worshiping the porcelain Bidet! :o Congratulations vfb. It was great fun, and very educational, too! |

I have no way to contest this. So it's fine with me.

Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
PS I still have my cap.
|
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
We have said all along that the Turkeies were sneaky!!! Well played VFB. We only have 4 caps, although we have a dozen geared out Tarts waiting for the Capital defense that never happened :)

Okay, here's the turns. Enjoy. :)
This was a fun game, and I especially liked the RPing during my war with Ermor. Nice job, Stagger Lee! |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
So, your caps are following
Mictlan @ 236 Jomon @ 106 Utgård @ 144 Marignon @ 201 Pythium @ 260 Gath @ 264 Pan @ 190 Also, you seem to have ench50 site, conj20 site, some nasty indie mages. And you have about ten times more gem income than I have. I had +2f +5a +3w +4e +6s +37d +6n and about +150 slaves per turn. And +5s and about +20d comes from globals. And I had a blood20 site to make some vampires in, though my dominion wasn't strong enough to utilize them very effectively, except what D mages usually can do vs. undead anyway. I was quite surprised that Ermor never tried to retaliate when all I had was a few h1 inquisitors at prov 98 at lowest point, though I got some chaff thralls and vampires there quite easily. They seem a wonderful tool that I'll need to look into again with higher dom and a bit different settings. And I didn't know double water bottles worked on a commander, but now I do! Stagger Lee also played and roleplayed Ermor really well, I enjoyed watching that :) Congratulations vfb, it was fun, and you've won it fair and square, and as there are no one else claiming a similar position, you'll become our new overlord. I'll have the game close tomorrow or today evening to give anyone chance to tell us if they somehow can affect the situation, which I doubt. |

My biggest mistakes were logistical, I think. Wanting my pretender to cast foul vapors w/o N gems, my quagmire caster with no W gems. Scripting my unburied way over on left flank, my unfrozen way over on right flank, then combining them with an army 10 times their size and, voila, there they are clumped in the middle killing each other with their aura. And not stepping back to regroup when I should have. Leaving that Naiad without bodyguards was dumb too. R'lyeh was an enigma. Did anyone have an arrangement with him? Or did he have a plan? I wasted a lot of chaff on him - the reason my armies were never as huge as some of you might have expected. We had probably four battles a turn from turn 25 on. And he only played 1/2 those turns! vfb, when you sieged the province with the enchantment site the first time, I had a mage inside cast iron walls. The fort was down to zero, you had a huge army on it, and I did not think it would work. Next turn, you had moved the army south (instead of storming), and there was just one tart left in the siege. My fort was up to 300 defense. Was he set to storm alone, or continue siege? I really thought I was wasting the gems. Raiel, had I not picked up Tempest from Mictlan's dead Sleeper, that battle would have gone very differently. I had more than my share of luck in this game. I wish I could have somehow gotten back on the offensive after Jomon, but I guess that's what everyone fears most, isn't it? Anyway, thanks Quitti, for having me in your game. I guess this was my shot at LA Ermor in MP, unless you'd like a rematch? |

I'll probably be hosting another (LA) game at the near future, keep your eyes open. There are some serious problems with huge armies in dom3, I've seen that in Warcry where I have about 10k skeletons in a pile as MA Ermor, so I'm a bit reluctant to let anyone take Ermor or possibly even R'lyeh. But we'll see :) |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
It was a pleasure to play with all of you. Learned quite a bit, thank you!

I think I had planned on storming immediately with that Tart, but he decided to go crazy that month. |

Btw, in our first large battle, my pretender was supposed to cast mass flight. Along with Grip of Winter + Rigor Mortis + Quagmire, I had 50 behemoths scripted to attack rear. They were supposed to fly right over your helpless jags and land on those delicious looking turkeies(sic). When I opened the turn and looked at the battle summary, I thought I was a genius. Then I watched the battle. Not even close to what I expected. I don't remember whether he even bothered to cast it, but there was your Sleeper standing in the middle of the field holding Tempest, like some great Icelandic volcano, canceling all flights. And my behemoths all bumbled right into the swords of your already dying and practically immobilized jaguar warrior army. Fog Warriors was huge for you in most of our battles. Are the thunderstrikes from Tempest, whether cast by the wielder or by the blade itself, affected by the air level of the wielder? |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. Going forward. One step at a time.
Very well. Mictlan has won the game. I had fun most of the time, and I hope most of you had fun too.
Good luck, see you again :) |
Re: Fractures - LA Game. And we're done!
Thanks for running a great game! Happy Vappu :).

Re: Fractures - LA Game. And we're done!
Thanks vfb :) I'll try to do my best to enjoy it.
