As per my earlier post, I still dont see any candle of mine anywhere...

Edit: If somebody want the turn file for bug hunting, I'll keep my turn file saved.

no, we didn't have a rollback, so that's out of the question. Korwin, do you have any provinces with white candles in them? if not than this is certainly a bug and should be reported in the bug section.

I think there was something similar like a rollback...have a look on page 8 of this thread:

This is just like the hated Bob that I know. First you refuse to die properly when told to. And then when I finally manage to drag a huge army all the way from the heartlands, at no small effort, you take your ball and go home!

And I who had just developed a great new way of countering your skelly spam! (Earth Elemental spam) All for nothing!

oooh, the hunter becomes the hunted. how does it feel? :P
by the way, you've got no reason to complain as its exactly the same thing you did to Midgard ;) always sucks to be on the other side of it though :P

No we don't. I offered you a NAP in the begining of the game and you told me that you would have to think of it and that you would return to me about it after midgard was dead. Well, you never did.

So no NAP for you. My attack was entirely legit.

Huh, Atlantis and Patala stalled last turn.
For Patala its the first stall (and allready has this turn in), but Atlantis has allready 9 stalls (and the third pretender if I did not lost count...), is it cursed?

It seems Atlantis really is cursed, every time someone steps in to take over they disappear, spooky stuff.

But seriously, hopefully he'll show up, and this was just a one off thing.

Mauxe February 3rd, 2011 04:10 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Hopefully not cursed.

My power went out onm Tuesday and is still not restored.
I am back at work (and internet) today but I don't want to test the limits of my employer by installing Dom3 on my machine.

My plan is to get online tonight with my laptop and send my turn in.
Sucks that I stalled :( I was in a spot where I really need to manage every turn.

Saros February 3rd, 2011 08:33 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Its essentially game over for Patala anyways. Likely no more than 2-3 turns of existence depending how long it takes for the final fort to fall.

BOOOM!!!

Honestly, did you script phoenix pyre or was this a major AI **** up?

Saros February 6th, 2011 07:35 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Yeah I saw that it was quite a hoot. Looked like the AI to me though.

Saros February 7th, 2011 11:31 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I have to go away for four days (8th to 12th.) I will take a portable install and will do my best to get turns in but I don't know exactly if/when I will be able to. Hopefully I will be able to play as normal but if timer could be extended to cover this period that would be perfect.
Who is admin at the moment anyways?

Korwin February 7th, 2011 01:13 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I (still) am :)
Changed hosting time to 96 hours. Enough?
Its in effect with next turn.

Korwin February 7th, 2011 04:14 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Corinthian asked me to sub Argatha for him.
I'm waiting for him to get the diplomatic status to me.

I'm seeing that I'm at war with C'tis...

(Added another 24 h for Saros, the 96 hours only extended to the 11th)

Corinthian February 7th, 2011 06:46 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Yea its like Korwin says. I will be bowing out of this game due to real life time constraints. I am in too many games right now and I cant give them all the time they require. Because this is the game with the shortest deadline, this is the one that gets the axe. Also, I am already playing LA Agartha in another game and two games with the same nation is a bit much.

Still, I cant help but wonder how that Tomb Oracle gambit played out.

Korwin February 8th, 2011 02:41 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

PM me an Email and I'll send you the turn.
But what I remember from looking into it... It went good.

Saros February 9th, 2011 06:17 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Okay managed to sneak a turn in. Don't know if I will get another while I am away but hopefully that will tide it over till then.

We had 2 stales last turn.....and do Tarts mark the beginnging of the endgame?

Delayed for me for 12 hours.

Mauxe February 14th, 2011 01:02 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

my stale was just idiocy :(

actually - part of my overall strategy is to initiate hostilities and then stale for a couple of turns. It throws people off...

Saros February 20th, 2011 06:09 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Hey I am away for two days and will likely need an extension to make sure I don't miss a turn. I just sent in this turn and if the timer is 48h like I think I should be fine with just a 24h extension, hopefully I will get back in time but I don't want to stale out if I don't.

13lackGu4rd February 20th, 2011 06:20 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

sorry guys, it seems like I can't keep up with this game. 3 stales total now(1 than a turn than 2 more I think). in all time just passed by faster than I expected it. now that my 2nd semester this year(and my final total for my BA) started I'll have even less time than usual, and seeing that I already have trouble keeping up I don't foresee it getting better.

so, I'm sorry everyone but please find a sub for me.

Korwin February 21st, 2011 12:03 PM

Postphoned turn for 48 hours.

Re: Last Rites - Running

Hey guys i'm sorry but I will be slow in getting turns in for a while. I live in Christchurch NZ and we got hit by a major earthquake. Probably hundreds dead and everything is a shambles.

http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/christchur...rch-quake-Day-2

I'm working long long hours at the lab and power and net are intermittent so I will get to turns when I can but keeping a regular schedule will be difficult for a while.
I don't mind if you want to look for a sub as I understand how frustrating it can be to be left waiting on turns.

Thanks
Ben

Take your time Saros, we are searching for an sub for Blackguard anyway, so we are postphoning at the moment anyway...

*goes to bump the Subsearch thread*
*and postphones the turn again*

Re: Last Rites - Running

I'm a bit confused. I placed the .trn file into savedgames under a folder I created (Last Rites), but when I open dominions3, I don't have the game available under continue existing game.

Korwin February 24th, 2011 01:10 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

If you create a new local game, is there a new folder in savedgames?
Another posibility is, sometimes the trn file get to me with out the extension ie. Late_Phytium.trn without the .trn.
If thats the problem, renaming the file should do the trick.

SirMu February 24th, 2011 01:13 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

1) Yes, there is a new folder in savedgames if I create a new game.
2) The file already came with .trn

Edit: Got it to work by exiting out of the folder with the .trn file.

Re: Last Rites - Running

I'm a bit lost; how can I move a commander when it's not showing up on the main screen because there are too many commanders in the province? I can't take my turn until I figure this out.

Korwin February 27th, 2011 03:47 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

There is an arrow to scroll down, you may need to search for it, its visibility is not good.
Another trick is to Press "n" to get to an commander whitout orders. Another "n" and you get to the next commander without specific orders.

Edit: Or "F1"!

SirMu February 27th, 2011 04:02 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Yeah, I'm doing so terribly. I let the giants out of their perpetually being sieged box and out into the world; not to mention I did a communion completely wrong and what was supposed to be a massive earthquake spam party turned into Paralyze Paralyze Paralyze Paralyze Oh whoops look at that fatigue!

Kojusoki February 28th, 2011 03:42 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

well... you did paralized me...

SirMu February 28th, 2011 05:42 PM

Not enough, considering you still plowed through my units like they were a field and you were a very angry, large, and diabolical tractor.

I'm going to have to request an extension over the weekend if that is okay, I'm going away and won't have access to Dominions. I should be back by monday, sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

Re: Last Rites - Running

Done.

SirMu March 7th, 2011 05:41 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I can hardly even marvel how the AI managed to ignore my DIRECT ORDERS to cast spells that they were my mages were perfectly able to cast. This lost me a battle and many units. I don't get it. How does the AI ignore DIRECT ORDERS?

Mauxe March 8th, 2011 12:15 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

btw - I have found that the - and + keys on my keypad allow me to scroll down through a list of comanders too large to display at once on the main screen.
