Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
i always wanted a little animated line art of a head tossing chunks, but this avatar is pretty foul too. Thank you, sir!

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Gee Dave, everyone's getting these snazzy new avatars from you http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/shock.gif classy stuff ... would you be able to do one for me too??
I'm thinking the Mark Twain thing is hip, but maybe if you could age him a wee bit. Of course I'd be willing to change altogether, don't suppose you could make a James Crick pic? A double strand of DNA in the background... jimbob |

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
It's a nice looking pic for me...but I think I'd like it more without the rat...unless the cheese were eating it! Either that or something in a skinny guy in a bad superhero outfit with cheese symbol in standard pose with big cheezy grin!!
I'm hoping I have some basic software that might allow me to work on my pic. I'd hate to take more of your time when there are others out there with cooler pics to create or re-design.... Thanks...it's definitely better than what I have now!!! [ December 10, 2002, 06:10: Message edited by: Cheeze ] |

Any ideas on an avatar for someone like me?
The ones you produced all look so impressive, you really must enjoy doing it. It shows. |
Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
First, Yo! Mephisto,.. In an attempt to please I have created an all new Avatar based on the art you sent me. I think I managed to give him that 'trixter' smile and mischivious gleam in his eyes. Let me know what you think. Cheers

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Shyrka, your avatar pics were already very nice, so I didn't have much work to do. I just lightened up the feel of the pic by changing the background to a nice blue sky and put it all into one of my factory frames. I hope you like it.

"Here's an .htm file you can download that has all the avatars David has made(and I think one by Matryx) in this thread on one page.
Avatars.htm" Dang David, you have made alot of avatars. I didn't think it was that many until I looked at the .htm page Geo threw up. You have certainly been one busy guy. 1039547520.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/newup...1039207993.jpg Maybe if it gets updated I can be snuck in? hmmm. if the avatar pics could somehow be shuffled, everyone could play "Where's David?" LOL Now I'm having those delusions again! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif |
Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
Ok, rather than having to upload a new file (And you having to download it) to Shrapnel everytime David makes a new avatar, I went ahead and put it on the PBW server.
Bookmark it here! I add the new ones and put your avatar as well David. Although I put yours in a place of respect instead of hiding it amongst the others. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif EDIT: You don't suppose Shrapnel would mind me linking to the images on their server do you? I doubt it in this case. It's not like this is going to be a high traffic web page or anything. Geo [ December 10, 2002, 20:14: Message edited by: geoschmo ] |

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
David, One more request from me and I'll leave you alone. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I have noticed you have started making the newer ones without a rank insignia, and I have to admit I rather prefer the clean look. Could I get you to do that with mine, and make the eye bigger to take up the empty space. In fact I think I'd like it to be just a static picture, no animation. Not too much trouble is it?

Re: OT: The House of 1001+ Avatars
David, can you make something with mine? It's an Hajime Sorayama picture that I scanned, cropped and resized.
I did it with several more pictures to use them as avatars in Spanish forums. I love them! (I'm a fan of Sorayama's art). You can, if you want, apply your art to any other of that pictures (If you think that looks better or that is easier to transform). These are: http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_1.jpg http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_2.jpg http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_3.jpg http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_4.jpg http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_5.jpg http://shyrka.com/images/Avatar_6.jpg The one that you choose (If you choose someone) will be the one that I will use in this forum, and only in this forum. An status symbol! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif Thank you very much http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |
