Hi there,
waves from Birmingham UK... I'm reading my manual atm and absolutely savouring it!

I have started an Ermor/Early Age game against a very few AI just so hopefully I can just bop the local inhabitants and get the hang of things a bit!

I am loosely following the Example Strategy for the nation that the manual mentions, although I haven't found the armor spells yet that it mentions... sure I will though

Having a ball, nice to be here,

Best,
Hep

Hallo HepSulph, I'm from Birmingham too. In fact right now I'm at my parents' house in Sutton Coldfield.

Hello. ghostwes here, 37, male, from Canada. Nice to meet you all.

I just bought the game and am still trying to figure it out; I hope these forums will assist me in this endeavour as the game seems quite daunting so far!

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Greetings everyone.

I go by deadboi on most forums but I'm not a big talker so I usually don't post much. I'll be 27 in May and I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. YeeHaa...

I'm a software developer so I'm into RPGs, fantasy, sci-fi, cheese, and everything else that comes with being a total nerd except that I don't live in my parents basement and have good hygiene.

I started playing Dominions with Dominions 2 and had 3 pre-ordered when it became available. My initial draw was that it ran natively on Linux http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Penguin.gif. Yeah! I've been lurking around boards since I started playing but never posted anything till now.

Despite playing it a fair bit I don't actually think I'm that good or more specifically I still have a lot to learn. I'm okay at comp. stomping, with certain nations I can do 7-8 normal AI's on on a map like Cradle, but I know those skills wouldn't transfer over well to a multi-player game. Pretender design is still a lot of guess work or going by what people here suggest and I'm still learning how to use magic and items effectively.

I would like to start giving multi-player a try which is my main reason for starting to post.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Hello folks! I'm just starting out in the multi-player scene. I've actually been reading this forum for some time now, but have not gotten around to signing up. I am a huge fan of this game, and have been playing with buddies for some time. However, I figured it would be nice to try and give community multi-play a shot.

Also: Has anyone else noticed the wonderful new Dominions adds? I tell you, they warm my heart.

Re: Introduce yourself!! :-)

Regarding the multi-player games, I have a few questions.

1) How often do they start up?
2) How long do typical games last?
3) Are there any games designed for newbies like myself?

I will be going away for a week starting Wednesday, so probably shouldn't join a game until I get back.
