Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Speaking of the "drafting" Spoon to the Rated Proposal, I was curious if the map (now that you have had a chance to play a while) seemed fair enough to you guys.
(of course, I can understand if you wish to keep such things a secret for a while longer http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif ) |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
I like how the map turned out. Two fronts to fight on, and starting points were far enough (but not too far) to make it pretty exciting.
|
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
I can't see the whole map (I didn't take ancient) but it looks like a fair map. My game isn't going very well, though. Or to be more precise, my game is going quite normally but Spoon is such a good player I've the feeling everything goes wrong http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif (that attack with one DUC 3 destroyer and two mine sweeper 1 destroyers really caught me offhanded...)

Asmala,
I had some events chance my playing time and so I will have to step off the hill to catch my breath. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif I have informed Rambie of this. Rest assured, I will return one day. And when that day comes, you all better watch out as I will sweep the hill clean of all contenders! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif |

Hi Slynky
I'm having troubles sending emails to your email domain at the moment. I might have to ask for a restart in our KOTH game. It appears that my Home World has been located on a Ship Damaging Cloud. Can you arrange this Asmala? |

Asmala, nevermind my Last request. Rambie and I are going to go ahead and play our game, but it will probably be at a slower pace then usual. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Welcome back Stone Mill and BBegemott. Looks like it'll be a tough game, two former kings facing each other.
Ragnarok: OK |

"Hey where's my tube of Regicide?"

Regicide- the word of the day. Nice, Gorza. Asmala, tough isn't the word for this one. Elvis, after his untimely dismissal from the throne, comforted himself with lots of fast food, nanners, peaanut butter, bad movies, assorted pills, etc... But the hip-swinger promised a return. So he tried to gear up for another tour. He lived a clean life for a while to get back into action. However, he found himself at the bottom of the Hill- the only venue appropraite, despite his former Kingly status. At least at the bottom, he would find some poor rookie that he could refine his skills against. Heh he heh... the poor lad won't know what hit him. Elvis could play a leisurely match and make plenty of mistakes, and perhaps try a few new things. But into the lounge walks "he whose name shall not be pronounced correctly" BBegemott. Another former King with sharp skills trying to make the climb. "Nice timing Haas," Elvis mutters. At least the fall won't hurt as hard from here. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Well, Stoney, either he didn't take a look at who was waiting or he just didn't care that it was you. Makes one wonder just which it was http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/rolleyes.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif .

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
K.O.T.H. RexTorres vs Parabolize
Turn number: 2403.6 I surrender! I have lost ~30 DDs and he has lost maybe 5? One of my homeworlds is gone. Rex moved faster than me in everything! I was going to try to out produce him but he started 2 systems away. Good game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon7.gif |

Oops, it seems like we will play with each other Belisarius, and this time Slynky won't be here to save the day. *Grumbles*

A battle in which you had less ships, and some of them were of dubious designs if memory serves.
Nevertheless, we shall see what happens when we are alone on the field. *Smirks* Do you have any preference for the settings? My only suggestion (besides the ordinary) would be to mention PvK Balance Mod, which tweaks the costs of most advanced traits and characteristics during Empire setup. (Gone are the days of the almighty standard setup, where much goodness could be bought with a mere 2,000 points) However, I have already played this mod once in KOTH, so you may find a problem here. Your choice! |

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
Baron Grazic vs Slynky - 2405.5
The Baron surrenders. With a few very small skirmishes and some "here and there" mine laying on borders where we met, the build-up began. When the dust settled, a few critical battles were fought and the Baron had the worst end of it. We both had about equal portions of the map. |

Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to cancel. I've been having irregular alergy attacks for about three weeks now and I can't sey for certain wether I could play with anything approching intelligence. Or creativity. In fact, pretty much everything but shoving tissue up my nose is going to have to be canceled. I would appreciate it if someone could be found to play my P&N turns. In the meantime, expect me when spring is over.
- Narf, wishing that alergy pills worked better for him. My, don't I get eloquent when my head feels like cotten batting in liqued nitrogen. Anything for a distraction, I suppose. |
Re: Are you tough enough to be the "King of the Hill"?
I will try to play the P&N game until a replacement can be found. Again, sorry.
