My only disappointment was that Tigga did not comment on my shapely legs, which were so well displayed in my shorts.

Saxon, if I had made a remark complimenting your legs, I would probably have also made a remark about how I want to come over to Kenya and give you a big sloppy wet kiss on the bottom

It just is not going to happen and I would ask you to not make passes in my direction

an alliance of testosterone lacking nations against those blessed with abundant facial hair,

Look you silly sod, lack of hair IS a sign of too much testosterone sloshing around in the system, well known fact that bald chaps are absolutely fizzing with the stuff - put a nail on the end and with this hip action I could make it through walls!!!

He is not even aware of how much he wants to grow a mustache, but we can all clearly see the subconscious signs

I want a stupid moustache about as much as you want to undergo colonic irrigation, as much as Mephisto wants to join a Scorpions tribute band, as much as Mac wants an affair with Peewee Herman and as much as Gryphin wants to become a ballerina

he has chosen a race of cats, which are well known for preening their whiskers

Well yes, my 'cats' will be preening their whiskers but only after they have ripped your fluffy bunnies' heads off and have stuffed them up their own rectums

Tigga,

I think Gyrphin did want to be a ballerina, I am sure I saw it on his web page. Something about spending more time with beautiful women or something like that. I will keep your comments on nailing things through walls in mind for when I plan an addition to the house, I may have a job offer for you. As for passes at you, well, the job offer is the best you will get from me.

Does anyone know how long PBW is expected to be down?

Typical manifestation of sod's law me feels

The Gryphin/Growltigga thread and I guess the Cantina all evolved from macho posturing Last December between la personne poilue and myself.

It takes us 6 months to stop posturing and finally put words into action and the bloody server goes down!!

Saxon, did you go to Israel in Aug/Sep 1993? you look awfully like a Canadian beer-wendy I remember from the Arizona Bar in Jerusalem

Beer-Wendy means that you are a lightweight when it comes to drinking. It is naturally a phrase that is applied to 99.9% of North Americans who couldn't stand their ground in a decent boat race

Drinking is still something Brits do very well

1983? I was 12 years old

Worst job I had was working in a pork pie making factory - pork products so fresh the pig dont know they are gone - I gave up meat for 2 years after that job

Best job? driving a tractor on a farm, working as crew on a girl's only sailing holiday for posh bints, being a driver in Morrocco for a party of 17 year old schoolgirls

Resina is pine resin, isn’t it? How did the basil get involved, I thought they were just ruining the wine so the SS wouldn’t drink it. I have to agree that North Americans are light weight drinkers, but after a few painful months, I was able to catch up. Amazing the things they teach in English universities.

1983. Yep, I was twelve as well, but I got sent on a cruise of the Mediterranean and ended up in Jerusalem on East Sunday. I remember doing fighters doing a fly by as we got off the boat and I remember a lot of soldiers on roofs. It was an interesting trip.

Best job, white water raft guide, the summer after being the cook. Girl in bikinis looking to have fun, lots of adrenaline and the best shape I have ever been in. This sounds oddly like you crewing boats with girls, there may be something we share in common. We had best stop comparisons, it may lead some degree of being polite to the other person, which would really detract from the entertainment value of this board.

As you may have guest from the sudden flurry of Posts, I am tied to my computer doing the Monthly Report. I do not like doing the Monthly Report.

Count yourself lucky Saxon, I dream of doing Monthly Reports, I am currently drafting an intercreditor deed that has a painful ratchet and a tricky standstill mechanism - I would rather defluff my navel with a kitchen blowtorch

Let's get this clear, 'Vassili' is the Greek name which corresponds to the English name 'Basil' and IIRC does not correlate to the plant of the genus Ocimum Basilicum in any stlye or form - if you want herbs in drinks, then try "Hoegaarden", a Dutch weissbier that has coriander in it

Actually, you yanks call coriander something stupid like cilantro or something dont you?

You are right, it must be something about women and men in boats - no wonder my hair fell out (again)

I was 22 when I went to Israel - at that age, the idea of being one of 8 male volunteers with 42 female volunteers is quite a nice one - oops, my hair fell out again

Retsina is wine which is stored in pine casks and therefore develops the resin-esque flavour - I guess now after a few thousand years, the Greek palette has adjusted to it. I like it and think there is nothing finer to drink on a warm Summers' evening (well, DAB lager is a close second).

North Americans are hopeless drinkers and it is always good fun for us Brits to find a group and challenge them to a drinking contest! it is such fun watching a bunch of preppies throw up all over themselves!

Link for Nortel Investors

I am offended by your sweeping generalizations about North American Beer. Perhaps you should try some. (We're not talking about that stuff that you drink like pop)

Preppies???? Ummmm you been listening to WHAM again.

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina

But Tesco old boy, I have tried North American beer many times.

The only good stuff is the ale you get from the microbreweries (can I reccomend The Whistle Stop Brewery in Flagstaff - excellent ale)

It is just compared to what we have over here!....

Well, let me just say that when I first went to North America, I was told that it was a place where you could buy anything, except for the beer and the women which you merely rented for a while
