Re: Very Relaxed, perhaps unorthodox PBEM game starting here

ok my Last post here; I am back at my computer; will get the game generated and out within the next couple of hours. Game is full now.
My honestly-felt regrets to all who feel that the settings/map/general deal is not their first choice.
best to all

EDIT: does anyone know how to transfer Email-Adresses put in a little email-adress-folder-thingy from one computer to the other? I use Outlook Express on a Windows 98 machine, and am technologically challenged. Merci

On your Windows 98 machine, open Outlook Express, click on File, click on Export, click on Address Book, choose a file type and click Export.
Then copy the file created and transfer it your other computer and import it into the mail progam you use on your other computer.

Yea! Glad to see the game is underway!

Watch out for squishy things that crawl up out of the sewers all you land bound clods!!!

Oi. Alright, I'm playing Caelum, but my Pretender keeps getting stuck. I've sent it to a third party, who'll hopefully pass it along. I'm working on setting up another address that, hopefully, won't go directly to the spam folder. -_-; Terribly sorry if I'm holding things up.

I am the "third party" and I have forwarded the file as requested. However, if it is a pretender file, then it's too late as the game has started.

I would not vote against a restart, however, since I received a starting position that probably should have been designated #nostart in the mapfile.

Sorry for the confusion and problems, I put ashes on my head....

Duncanish, I have received your pretender -- I messaged you that I did so, so there must be a missing link somewhere, hence my post here. Could you let me know if you get my email now? If you can start the game, see if you can see if Caelum actually *is* your pretender. A kind soul has helped me figure out how to remove you from my spam list.

As to Zapmeister's bad starting position -- argh I feel bad. I will send out an email query.

Otherwise, I have gotten 8 turns in now.
best to all

Does one usually chatter here?
Well I suppose there is not enough yet going on....
I have gotten a few mails from people asking about when I will send out a new turn -- sorry, cant help that, I am still waiting for 2hs to come in -- actually, for only 1, from Pangaia.
Sorry folks, it looks like we wait for the Last one!
best to you!

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">I'm not much used to talking about an ongoing game in an open forum...

What should we be doing? Proudly proclaiming how we're all going to kick everybody's ***? I'm not that confident...

<font size="2" face="sans-serif, arial, verdana">Is there an upper limit on the amount of time you're prepared to wait?

The reason I ask is that it's not unknown (quite common, in fact) for players to evaporate without warning, even at turn 1.
