hey CuriousCat
since endoperez is hosting maybe you should ask him if you could take his place but he still hosts?

This is a TCP/IP game right?

Re: calling all players

The Middle Earth map has 119 provinces. The province neighbour arrows ('8' in keyboard) can barely be seen, but the north/south mountain ridge can be crossed in two points, and there is an opening in the south. Interesting map, although it might be too simple for two teams.
If CuriousCat wants to play, I can change to neutral, or even leave myself out completely, if other participants aren't offended. Should there be AI players? I already wrote the whole message, and just thought of them, so I haven't considered how they might affect things.

What are your nations? Naresh will be playing Man, but I don't remember if any other nations have been mentioned. When would you all prefer to be able to start? Would few (4-10) turns on both Saturday and Sunday work with you? That would upstart the game nicely, and with 10+ turns in the game, things would get more interesting. What pace would you like the game to have? I would prefer 3 or 4 turns a week, which isn't as slow as it sounds. You get the turn, do some basic movements/recruiting, then ponder and think things through for a day, and then send your turn in about a day after your received it.

It will be a TCP/IP game if I can open a port in our hardware firewall. Or possibly use a port that defaults to open... I should research this.

Should I set the starting provinces, or let Fate decide? Would it be too boring to have the two allies both in east/west, with only having to worry about one direction? Or should the starting provinces be decided by nation, that is, Man or Marignon in Gondor, Ermor in Mordor, Caelum near some mountains, Pangaea or Ulm near Shire, etc.

Re: calling all players

119 provinces are to many for 4-5 players. 80 provs is max.

Re: calling all players

id say that 119 players is more of a 6 player thing but ive nevr had a multiplayer b4 so i dunno

Re: calling all players

1. change the starting provinces that would make it more fun and exiting as you could PROBABLY tell where you opponent is and there could be like a big fight over the pelennor fields OR a scould going form the shire to barad dur with a bane venom charm!
shovah is playing ulm... but that is all I know
could it be possible to PBEM I do not know TCP/IP
endo (if I may call you this)
if you want to play then you can if you really dont then dont simple eh?

High_Priest_Naresh

Playing by TCP/IP is very simple, you can even make a shortcut for it, connecting to the server directly when taking your turn.

If we could find one more player we could do 3v3 on middle earth.
