Destroy all homeworlds victory condition could be a problem. I can give a colony independence and that planet becomes a homeworld. If I have troops on the planet when I grant independence sometimes I can retake the plane tthe same turn the new empire is created.

Sub-fleets are in BTW. They're called Task Forces.

Can you transfer a task force between fleets at the same location, retaining the task force name/formation/strategy?

Not that I know of. They don't have individual experience though, so not being able to transfer them just adds a few extra clicks.

I'm personally very thankfull to Aaron for provinding us with a very powerful yet good looking game engine with a basic stock of image and concept.
Then I can play the game, and most importantly I can create it myself, the interesting part only (as Aaron did all the "dirty" work for us with debugging and so, only the concept part is left).

I's worth to my opinion more than a good game with which I can only play (and not build).
