Re: Running – Operation Anchorage Seven Players MA Game on Bering

A soul contract? How the hell did he get one of those? And if he went to all the trouble to get that many slaves why spend them on that of all things?

Twobits kept going on and on to me about how I have no chance to beat R'yleh and he will steamroll me. Now you are saying the exact opposite? Twobits posted many times recently that he thinks mictlan can still win.

R'yleh and I made an alliance agreement a long time ago and I hope we will continue it until the final two like I have always promised.

Well - I don't know. :) It seems, honestly, that he didn't have clear research (or war) plan.

I don't know. I have somewhat more experience, but this late in the game the situation is mainly set.
As for R'lyeh - TwoBits said that he didn't see your collection of Archdevils. I have studied what you have both on battlefield and strategic map. In any case, you already have more money, gems AND research than R'lyeh. You have some weaknesses which I will try to exploite, but provided you win you will have much better territory than they and would be able to kick them back into water relatively easily. After that it would be straight economic contest about who will be able to make SCs faster. You have better economy. That's why I said that R'lyeh made a mistake - they could try to use wartime to cover a gap in research.

Well, it seemed something like this from browsing this thread. ;) Still, I don't understand why somebody didn't form another alliance against you - the main countermeasure, though sometimes a well-entrenched nation can fight off a doubleteam by itself. Author of Sauromatia: Lawful Evil guide has fought us with Gregstorm to standstill, for example (Sauromatia is surely very strong, but we were Helheim and Lanka... ;) ).

A pity, really. You have such a fine Devil... I should provide more cover for operation. ;)
Still, -1 army.
It's intersting whether you run out of troops before I run out of provinces or no.

Still, Crystal Amazons were a good move. And I forgot that AI doesn't cast elemental resistance spells on partially resistant units. A pity CBM authors didn't make something about it instead of banning gem producing items! <carp mode off>
And I can even tell you one of things he had up his sleeves - because I don't know why in hell he made it! :) It's Soul Contract... :re:
By the way, R'lyeh is wrong if he thinks that border provinces he can capture from me would give him a chance against Abysia later. They are mostly poor and unless he gains in research fast he'll be just ground under. And while he fights, his research slacks. I just can't understand how he slacked so much? Though thanks fot a good luck wish - it seemed to work. ;)
Another question to all - why TwoBits didn't help Vanheim while they could still fight?

I agree ;) My research slacked because it was 1) my first game - stupid error, and 2) I got involved in too many wars. I predict I will not be able to compete against either of you - but will stick to my early agreement.

You mean Pazuzu? ;) It's interesting how you equipped him... :p
By the way - did all spells cast onto your Prophet Archdevil gone into his luck or? I mean - what were your messages about it? I thought that he would survive, but will get some wound.

Me too :) I said I never played Mictlan in MP.
ALso, did you script kamikaze bombs on your mages? Or was it just AI? It was the most effective of their spells! :)

Sorry, I must ask for more time. 24 hrs should be enough - I'm out of shape right now... :(

Nope, guess again. Pazuzu is naked because i'm not planning to use him in combat anytime soon. My actual surprises are coming into the battle much sooner. You might see them this turn anyway if you have scouts in the right places.

During the battle it says he was diseased. But after the battle the disease was gone and he is healthy now. I guess demons heal diseases automatically?

I'm not sure which mages you are talking about. I flew most of them back home to blood hunt some more.

Sooner than this turn??? :D Doesn't seem likely. Still, my scouts were in wrong places apparently. Though I think I can see what I would use - but won't say it for now! ;)
By the way, pray say why you made Pocket Knight and Hoburg Hero? Soul Trap was a Good Thing, but these?
Also, thanks for Demonbred! ;)

Well, they shouldn't. They just don't suffer hp loss from disease. Maybe it's something related to his Prophet status - unless you secretly follow him with The Chalice, of course! ;)

Those who were killed by Eagles and exploded. ;) They caused much damage this way.
And blood hunt is a good idea here, I think - it will allow you to just Dom-kill both me and R'lyeh.
Speaking of which - R'lyeh, while Kraken heals afflictions, he still WILL collect them when used in this way. And he ISN'T immune to his own poison!:angel

Yeah I always carry the chalice around on a scout with my raiding parties. You know, just in case.

On the other hand, maybe its a bug.
