Wow, I will let you and Guffin discuss that one mano et mano - the hand shandy shufflers I spoke to said that Ohio was not for the faint of breath or those with any olfactory ability - their words not mine I might add

[QB] In regards to "Dirty Old Man", sigh, someone must contemplate upon the virtues of the higher recesses of one's mind or degress to the point of failing to appreciate what science may "uncover" within the universe to advance knowledge within
the various realms of just "what is possible and that which is not", http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif [QB]

Errrr, ground control to planet Mac, come in planet Mac

[QB](your just jealous of my stimulating of the upper reaches of my mind to enjoy what one experiences in life and to indulge within the fantasical reaches of "what could be" http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/tongue.gif )[QB]

Mac, dont say such things, the thought that anything said on this forum stimulates you is quite horrible - but I suppose at your age you need all the stimulation you can get - arn't tea dances only held once a week??

just some ridulously perverted ideas mac

What mac says is true. The air is cleaner but it does take a hearty person to live here. You must be someone of great moralle fiber and astounding intellect. Yes, Boston is not for the faint of heart. I am surprised Tig survived here for a weekend.

Aahhh, Ohio, what can I say, for example, In Cleveland, the great lower Harbor area was built on a Land Fill, (Garbage to those uninformed) this is where the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Burke airport and much much more now reside, could we ask for anything more?, The air, now that most of the Steel Mills are closed and put thousands out of work, has started to improve to the point where the sea gulls aren't dropping dead and falling from the sky, and the pigeon droppings on our buildings, where else could you get such cheap fertilizer? And then there's Hopikins International airport, driving there is such an experience, especially if you don't know where you're going, it brings tears to the eyes just thinking about it, then there's the Cleveland Indian who choke in the playoffs and are dismantled by managment to the point they will be lucky to place 3rd in their division, yes these are only some of the benefits you'd experience by visiting, I would say from those misinformed parties who gave you those inaccurate statements concerning us, just have never bothered to stop and take it all in, but they are probably from out west somewhere where all they get is that digustable mountain air. What do they know??? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

just some ideas mac

(Disclaimer: everything here is in Jest, and is not meant to demean any city or state) have to put this in, in case someone takes the wrong way

Growltigga - Glad to hear you survived the great adventure! Arizona in the winter is about as tough as you can get. The high is only supposed to get up to the mid 70s today in Chandler.

Sounds like Canyon de Chelly was fun. I hope the rest of your sight-seeing turned out as well. Sorry, no snow for you though. I suspect we are going to have a problem this summer as we aren't getting much precipitation this year. Oh well, it won't be the first time.

Tig, I'm sure it will be no cake walk I have serious attention span issues with anything this complex. Things like forgetting to move ships or build colonizers.
None the less, I do suggest a turn limited game where the score is not visble to us as the playing is more important than the outcome. (in my ideal world)
To bad we cvould not link up when you were in Boston. If you think you might come again, let me know, I"ll send you my phone number.

Sleep well.

I disagree Guffin, may be not a cakewalk but more of a noodle surprise perhaps??

[QB] I have serious attention span issues with anything this complex. Things like forgetting to move ships or build colonizers. [QB]

Of course you have attention span issues, so would I if I had as many women 'on the go' as you do

[QB] None the less, I do suggest a turn limited game where the score is not visble to us as the playing is more important than the outcome. (in my ideal world) [QB]

Guffin, for the first time ever I think, I agree with you. I would like our game to be brought to us by the letter 'H' and the number '4' if you get my drift - given the lack of time I have to play this superb game, I wouldn't want any power hungry despoiling unchivalrous machiavellan lunatic, geriatric, Canadian or otherwise to spoil the show

[QB] To bad we cvould not link up when you were in Boston. If you think you might come again, let me know, I"ll send you my phone number. [QB]

Will do, I spent the time in some lawyers office so didn't see anything of Boston other than a sea food restaurant that looked as if it had seen better millenium, still the cod was pretty nice

I hate spending time with American lawyers, they always go on about how they earn about 10 times more than us european lawyers - in fact, one of the best things about my trip to AZ was when a large bottomed bin dipping US attorney fell off the back of the tour truck into an ice cold river in canyon de chelly, me and the navajo driver laughed so loud our bladders almost burst

[QB] Sleep well.[QB]

I am not going to sleep, it is midday here and too much work to do but still, I am really looking forward to Madrid, great city, lovely people, great food and superb wine

Still, I will miss my chicken and rib barbecue combo, glass of poison and watching the sun devils at Cooper'stown in Phoenix

AK, I really enjoyed Arizona - I must admit that it wasn't my initial first choice of holiday destination but having gone there, I did enjoy it.

spent a few days in Pheonix, had a good laugh at ALice Cooper'stown - a young lady showed me her surgically enhanced breasts within 10 minutes of my being in there, got to go to the Sun Devils/Golden State basketball ball game on the Friday - went to a brewery in Tempe with steaks to follow at Monti's (food was shocking so didnt pay the bill) - even did Phoenix zoo - could have slapped the locals for going incessantly on about how cold it was

Based the rest of the time out of Flagstaff and Page - did the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly (excellent, phenomenal steer from you there), Lake Powell - did 1450 miles in 5 days - got a police warning for speeding, had to dig a truck out of ice in Canyon de Chelly, was attacked by a porcupine (I fell on it), locked the car keys in the trunk up beyond Monument Valley in Utah

Packed a lot in in the time

Overall, I think you live in a very attractive state. Phoenix could do with losing some of the sprawl but anywhere that has the Biltmore Shopping Plaza where you buy Ralph Lauren shirts for under $20 is ok with me

The one downside of all however is Lil' Dittys Bar in Phoenix Live in the Arizona Centre. Have you been there? there is absolutely no excuse for this sort of venue - shocking is all I can say

So the net response is that Ohio is the cloaca maxima of the free world. Something in between a cess pool and a dead dog covered in maggots, save without the charm.

Remind me to never pop in and see you

Your disclaimer was funny, here in the UK, your remarks could be counted as fair comment so now worries there

You mean of sufficient immoral fibre to try circling the wagons and enough intellect to think it up!! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon12.gif
