ahh, im haveing problems creating a game...
its giving me
"We could not create your new game.

Possible causes include:

Server problems saving the game.
Game name was not entered, or has already been used.
You are not logged in.
If you are logged in, please try changing the game name. If this does not work, please notify the PBW Admin Team."

I have tryed changeing the name several times, I am loged in, cant think of anything else. can anyone confirm that creating games is currently working?

Check the games list and make sure the game really isn't there. ISTR that that error sometimes comes up even though the game was created.

Remember numbers aren't count. So 'Game' and 'Game2' are equal IIRC.

Rememeber that the game name AND game filename have to be unique. You cannot see the game filename for all games easily from scanning the games list. Actually you may not be able to see it at all unless you are in a game. Can't remember that for sure.

Also when games are deleted by the game owner, they are not removed from the server immediatly until one of the PBW admins purges it from the system. You cannot see it unless you are a PBW admin, but it will still prevent you from making a game with the same name or game filename.

yep, just downloaded the latest turn for "Networks II" but when I played the turn and went to upload it I kept getting "page not found" and "access denied" errors http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon9.gif

I have noticed a copple of "[ERROR] Execution of next turn failed" in a copple of games, whats up with that?

Something seems to be wrong at the moment with processing the turns. I've just uploaded 3 different turns and 2 of the games are still saying 'Executing' while the first one is saying 'Waiting for Processing'.
Can someone take a look at this for me.

Edit - After 10 minutes of 'Executing' the second game has gone to 'Waiting for Processing' too. The message in the error log is "[ERROR] Execution of next turn failed".

Yes, I have mentioned it in a couple threads but not here yet. The server is working, but the ocasional turns are failing. It's a server resource issue, we are running some utilities on the server that are tying it up some. It's no big problem. The turns in every case have run fine the second time. Either the game admin or a PBW admin can kick them to rerun. Or you can undo your turn and reupload to get it to run. Just wait till it times out, 20 minutes or so (it will switch from executing to waiting for processing), before you do that.

Hmm, Atrocities it looks like you are correct. The site can be reached via IP at http://69.3.206.249

Apparently it's a DNS issue and not the server or my isp at all this time.

Given this, could I ask a favour? I have a new player who has joined the "Space Empires 101" game as the "CyberSol Collective." He never received an email telling him he was approved, hence he never received the EMPire password. Any chance that could be sent to him somehow? (sorry for the double post, but I promised him I'd get this taken care of)...

Oh, the new player in question is "Loser" (he's already listed as the player on the 101 game site, so his email is there...
