I will travel next week, but I will leave my password to Endoperez or CuriousCat so that they will play Arcocephale. I should probably be able to play again shortly afterwards.

Re: calling all players

I can run Arco for you if you want http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Edit : ( Of course, I am running one of the opposing nations - just making sure you don't send me the password http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif )

Re: calling all players

Something not-so-nice has happened. When I try to open my turn, a "Något gick fel - the turn file is corrupted!" jumps up. I'll put the game on hold in the case I can come up with something, but as I haven't taken (and couldn't have, as I never automatized it and the turns were happening fast) any backups lately I'll just have to bear it. I'd like to get a few words from Man, and possibly even FRAPS-filmed battle, if any happened between us.

Re: calling all players

Nothing happened : you finished off Ulm, we didn't have any fights.

So when will the game be up again?

Re: calling all players

It is up, but the new turn doesn't host before Saturday morning. I skipped Thursday morning's hosting.

Haven't had time to do anything for the game. Well, I don't know what to do any way, as it seems the whole generated .trn file is corrupt... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: calling all players

So, the host happened... and I got a turn! Yay!

I got one stale turn, but that shouldn't matter much. The game is on schedule once more.

New turn is up... And I'm really starting to suspect that last Norna really knows what she is doing.
First, Angerboda makes her entrance.
Now, I randomly attack a province... the turn a Fortified City appears in there. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...s/confused.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/shock.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif

Re: calling all players

Earlier, I had a corrupted turn. Now, there is another. However, I already downloaded the .trn earlier, and it worked fine... Something must have corrupted the turn. Server is down while I check the computer for viruses, and I'll probably have the disk management programs check it for data corruptions as well. I don't know what 'eheyttäminen' is in English, but it is a very slow process that goes through the whole hard drive and does something mysterious to it.

As I'm not going to wait next to the computer to see when, exactly, it will be done with checking for viruses, and then again for many hours waiting for the eheyttäminen to be completed, we'll have a Christmas break. The next hosting will be on Monday (= early Tuesday in Europe).

Merry Christmas! Unfortunately, Sudenhuuto hold the Winter Festival earlier, during the Winter, and in the memory of Ulm. So no gifts to wait for. However, at least all of his friends won't have to be hungry during this difficult season.

Re: calling all players

I'm haveing very bad news for you. Seems like my brother has lost his dominions CD so I will not be able to play.

Endoperez December 26th, 2005 09:23 AM

Re: calling all players

As you say nothing about your own Dominions cd/cd-key, I think you mean you won't be able to play during the Christmas holidays, but can play once it's over.
Or is this a case of acute lack of Dominions?

Could you PM or e-mail to me? I'd like to get some details, mainly about the time this will take.

Also, I'd like to know how much information the other team traded between each other. I can try playing two nations at once, but that offers me too much information when compared to others. I'd much rather someone else would play Folket's turns... and Shovah would need the least amount of preparation and information regarding the game and what's going on in and around the Middle Earth of this game. Of course, if he has some insider-information, we have to come up with something else.

i could always ask folket whats going on and dont worry i have no clue about whats going on with any of you

Re: calling all players

I did one more turn for Arcos, hopefully that'll be the last. The Quickhost is off (only 11 hours left anyway) so that shovah can see what I'm doing, and change things if he wants.

Hello Everyone!

I'm back to finish this game with you, seems like I missed the big battle for my lands. =P

Man, with Cainehill playing it. He's got few gigantic problems, and is probably fighting a losing battle, but he surprised me once before. Angerboda hasn't yet become the Witch Queen of Angmar. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

*snicker* Um - I'm it. And with one sacred commander, and just one small army, I'm not around for long.

Re: calling all players

I had another corrupted turn, but after force hosting everything seems to work fine again.

A new turn is up, any way.

Re: calling all players

I have been the last to play a turn for all turns this week IIRC. Sorry about that, I had some exams. After Monday, I won't have exams, but I'll have to start studying for my final exams. I'll continue to play my turns for as long as needed...
Please take note of the "fair" battle.

The foul empire of Man has at last been destroed! Angerboda, the Witch Queen, has slain the last of the treacherous Tuatha! The cold fist of Sudenhuuto has finally avenged the Rimtursar, and in a worthy battle! The tuatha were slain by the ancient human which they enslaved, raised from their graves by dark Seith, and letting his mad combat-lust take over him, the last of the Tuatha sacrificed himself to a meaningless cause. Man rules no more. With their souls, Angerboda the Witch Queen will summon forth the infernal power to destroy the lizard kingdom of C'tis once, and for eternity.

Folket February 7th, 2006 06:04 PM

Re: calling all players

I have ordered my troops to storm the C'tis capital, I have no idea about his troop strengh, but I have been bombarding with some mindhunt so hopefully he will be weak when I meet him. Juton or Caelum may move into the province so that the siege continues even if I fail.

Oh, it's this turn. Nevermind.

Folket February 7th, 2006 06:27 PM

Re: calling all players

Well, last I looked you had not played your turn. I'm not certain but I think the storming of the castle will resolve first if you atatck the province.

Re: calling all players

Seems like the game is over now, it was fun playing with you. Endoperez, tell me if you plan to put up an other server.

Endoperez February 9th, 2006 11:22 AM

Re: calling all players

The game is done. I'll take the server off-line now.

I'm not planning on having the server on, any more. The virus protection is complaining about something, I don't have time to play myself, and the noice that 'puter makes is a constant nuisance. It was nice playing though. The only two things I'd like to have made differently:

1) I should've researched Ritual of Returning before researching Wither Bones. I never used the latter, and wasn't able to get my Prophet back. 150% Heroic Quickness on Water 9 Prophet, returned as a giant Mummy, with 0 encumberance... http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

2) I could've cast Illwinter last turn.
Instead, I cast Reascendance. I got a B3F3 mage, while I already had empowered a Death Skratti with Fire (D1F1 Flaming Skull) and made a Flaming Helmet with the F2 mercenary, and didn't have any fire gems to use the levels for!
