Jurri is no tool
What do you take me for, New Guy? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif Haha, I guess I'll put your antics down to a random event and move on... But, man, that was some choice decision to make on turn 1 of a subbing tenure http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
Also, my hat's off to Djo, who seems to have put the Chicken of the Sea in his place. An exciting battle, to be sure, although the ending was sour. |
Re: Jurri is no tool
Ahmm, seems like Agartha has given R'lyeh some spanking http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Jurri is no tool
Oh, well, no significant losses. Less mouths to feed, plenty of meat left for the grinder. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Agarthan holiday!
We, the mighty nation of Agartha, today celebrate a great victory. The Society of Learned & Pious Necromancers, most of them diseased and armed with little more than limp drinking straws, yesterday slaughtered hundreds of the cream of R'lyeh's "manhood". (We are not 100% they are men, but we are unwilling to examine their...whatever they have below their belts...in order to be sure. Scholarship has its limits.)
This day shall be celebrated annually until the end of time, or the end of the Agarthan empire, whichever comes first. We predict that next month's castle storming will be substantially less spectacular, as there are approximately 10 living beings in the province, both sides combined. We are also pleased at being Not First To Die In This Game. |
Agarthan holiday, indeed...
Rejoice in your petty victory, fools. We may have lost the spearhead of our army, but your entire military has been reduced to a few senile old men while your fortress remains under siege, its walls reduced to rubble.
Believe you me, the second wave will not be a long time coming, and then we will see what is what. Mark my words, there will be no annual celebration, except that of the end of the Agarthan people. |
Re: Agarthan holiday, indeed...
And Ermor had used a huge army to crush the life out of Patala. Ironically though, I think had Patala not routed they might have survived yet.
|
Re: Agarthan holiday, indeed...
What a weird battle. I wonder why Patalas commanders finally routed.
Now death to the Lizards http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |
Turn 26
Turn 26 is out.
Deadline is Thursday at 9pm Boston time. Pasha |
Re: Turn 26
Anybody want to tell the story of the weird battle?
We Atlanteans were too busy looking at the bottoms of icebergs to notice... |
Re: Turn 26
Yea - please anybody give me a nice battle report!
|
Re: Turn 26
Here's one report for you: the so-called Society of Learned & Pious Necromancers is no more. Those pretentious old fools greatly overestimated their power, now their corpses rot in the field and their minds have been harvested to serve the empire of R'lyeh. With those stubborn geezers gone, we expect the remaining Agarthan armies to surrender shortly.
|
Re: Turn 26
battle report for the details hungry crowds.
Ermor side: 14 crystal mages, *lots* of cheap undead spam commanders and units, a contingent of unholy knights, some lictors and many longdead velites, triarius etc. Patala side, 2 nagini and 6 nagarishi, 7 gurus and yogis, 3f 3a 1w 3e 3d ghost king, few archer units (markata, atavi, bandar) and vanara swordmen. first round, Patala: gurus, yogis mind duel and kill a few crystal mages. Second round, Patala: mass blade winds (effect is not that great). Ermor: legions of steel, Gifts from heaven and blade wind in return. next rounds are more or less the same. unholy knights break through the gates, massacre some summond elementals and attack the ghost king which is fully buffed and isn't much impressed with the attack. And then some gifts from heaven hit some units and commanders of Patala and cause Patala's units to route. |

We admit to hoping our reinforcements would arrive before the oppressor's, but alas, they did not. |
Re: Turn 26
Ctis has a laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarge army, you could almost call this army ermorian.
I wonder if they have supply problems http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: Turn 26
I bet they have the same amount of supply problems as you do income problems http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif It's the New Economy!

Re: Turn 27
Turn 27 is out.
Deadline is Sunday at 9pm Boston time. Pasha |
Re: Turn 27
I'm going to Alaska now; I should be able to play my turns, no problem, but my ability to conduct diplomacy will be severely hampered. Don't be offended - I'm not ignoring you, I just don't have much internet access. I'll be back to normal in a week and a half.

Your plan is too obvious and I don't know why your neighbours haven't realized it yet. You just sit there in your not-so-fancy castles gaining gems, research levels and those damn crystal mages and then BLAM! (Someone might falsely interpret this as a desperate cry for help) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif |
Re: Turn 28
Turn 28 is out.
Deadline is Tuesday at 9pm Boston time. Pasha |
Victory!
Joy to the world! The false god, Journey, is cast down, and Agartha has been trodden underfoot!
Let this be a lesson to other would-be aggressors. R'lyeh does not forgive. |
In requiem
Alas, I am slain...it remains for future generations of theologians to ponder how a god may be banished from the world in which he had not yet manifested.
I hope you will remember as I was, a peacemaker. I wish you all puppy dogs and rainbows, except for the walking pile of seafood that didst defeat me. I warn you all, trust nothing that comes from under the sea! |
Re: In requiem
Hey - djo - was nice to have you onboard ... :-)
|
Re: In requiem
Yes, thank you for the game, djo!
...you're next to go, Bird http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Penguin.gif |
Re: In requiem
Yeah hopefully you participate again Djo when this game is over and we hopefully start a new one, this time without those VPs http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif.
Jurri, that is a good idea. We could bet which nation gets killed next http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif. My bet is on Man too, the annoying Ctis lizards will hold out a bit longer because of the nature of Ermor. Ermor is slow with endless human waves whereas Mictlan is Blitzkrääääääg http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif |
Re: In requiem
It was a pleasure. Maybe by next time I'll have figured out how to play d3. Am I the only one enjoying d3 much more but finding my brain is still trying to play d2? Got to order me a brain upgrade, too.

Re: Turn 36 / Christmas Holiday Schedule
Turn 36 is out.
What do players what to do about the holiday? We could host on either Saturday night (Dec. 23) or Tuesday night (Dec. 26), because I will be away on the 24th and 25th. Pasha |
Re: Turn 36 / Christmas Holiday Schedule
I hereby decide, exercising my supreme host discretion, that the current turn is due on:
Tuesday, December 26 at 9pm Boston time. That will give everyone a chance to relax, even those who don't need the extra time. Pasha |
Re: Turn 37

Extension
I did not send out a status email this time, and there are a few players who have not played turns. So I will give an extension until Friday (tonight) at 9pm Boston time, just in case the players were relying on the status emails as a reminder of the deadline.
