Glorious victory for Oceania.

Obad-Hai, God above All, God of Gods, King of thise world, King of many names, Patron of soldiers, The unforgiving king, The most feared killer of humans lies death http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/Injured.gif on the feet of the mighty army of Oceania. Oh the pain...now I know why R'lyeh was so easily crushed, 50+ knights of the deep with protection 21+/defence 21+, Atlantis is in deep moaning for my god, my army and the future fate of Atlantis...

Patch 3.04

Hello:

Please don't patch the game until after you have played your current turn.

Thanks.

Pasha

Twan December 7th, 2006 10:46 AM

Re: Patch 3.04

A friend has found another pc for me, but I have a lot of things to do this afternoon. I bring it to my home tonight, install it and will probably able to play my turns this night or tomorrow morning (it's 14h in France).

(but no problem if I've already staled or be subbed)

PashaDawg December 7th, 2006 03:17 PM

Re: Patch 3.04

We can wait for you Twan until Friday morning.

It's fine to kill the host. Put me out of my misery. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Then I can use the master password to spy on the remaining players.

Oceania is a lucky so and so...

So having observed Oceania's aggressive behaviour, I decide to bait a trap, I boost my border province with him to PD 30 and put the majority of my military might, plus a small army of mages there. I am confident he will attack and his knights of the depths will be utterly destroyed.

He attacked...but only 1 army (out of 2, less then half my force) and no mages turned up to fight. He trashed them. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Why?

Well, I set the mages to site search and my prophet to preach. I got 'lucky' and discovered a site which turned up a castle, which of course mean't that by the time Oceania attacked only commanders/mages set to patrol would fight him...ARRRRGGHHHH!

So over half my army and my mages sat on there rear ends in the castle watching the 30 PD + other half my army be squished.

Now my 'new castle' is under siege, soon to be in Oceania's hands and I now have not got a big enough army to protect my mages long enough to destroy Oceania's forces. Especially as Oceania has brought up reinforcements.

Talk about 1 factor creating a utter military diaster...sheesh...the lesson of the day...when defending a province put all your forces on patrol.

I am going to scream in a dark room now...

Neifelheim Replacement

Quietly has decided to drop out of the game as Neifelheim. So, if someone would like to take over his spot, it is free. Otherwise, I will switch him to AI by Tuesday's hosting.

You're it! I do not know about any diplomacy with Neifelheim. You can contact Quietly about that.

I will send you the turn files, etc.

Since I will be visiting my Ma during christmas I might have to drop out of this one (not sure if my Ma still has her ISP) - since I am just clinging to my fortress and trying to repel Jurri's attacks it will be no great loss to set the position to AI if I am not able to make the deadline.

I have a mild preference for it not to be hosted Saturday (I'll have just reached my parents' home after an 11-hour drive) but I could sqeeze something in if necessary. Please just let us know what's going on - and everyone, I hope you're getting some good relaxing done!

Cheers

Strange behaviour

When i played the game it started whit 2 battles across the world,

2 fishmen attacked some provinces in the midst of enemy grounds. 1 on caelum and 1 on jotum ground. They were not stealthy and im possitive they werrent there before. Thise is not possible.

Latter i noticed in my capital 2 Oceania tritons whit magic skills. non-commanders. No clue how they got there and why they got those skills.

No strange things happened in disadventage to me i think so i will keep on playing.

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Baalz December 27th, 2006 12:45 PM

Re: Strange behaviour

Indeed, I found it quite odd that a lone, non-stealthy fish-man bearing Oceania's colors attacked a province far from Oceania's territories. Ah well, we had fish soup, no worries. Good thing my first act as king of the giants was to put light province defense in all my territories though...;)

Yup, just took a look at the last turn, game over, well thank you for the game.

Thank you for the fish

Hmmm, the fish that attacked me also had 2 priest levels, but wasn't sacred or anything. Definitely weird, maybe Pasha could save the backup somewhere in case someone wants to report the bug later on. That Migaaresno got ordinary troops with magic powers is reminiscent of the old 'immortality bug'... What kind of magics do they have?

Thank you for the game, CharonJr! Man, those double-blessed Oiorpatas were so scary that I didn't dare confront them a single time http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Ygorl, have you filled out the application 1134_2_09-FU? I hear your Secretary of Poor Decisions needs it in triplicate.

Oceania loses a battle! What!?!

Go R'lyeh go...

That's a very impressive pretender god you have there. You also did what I have so far not been able to do, inlict a defeat on Oceania. I live in hope of winning 1 battle against Oceania at least before Jurri wins the game...

Ygorl December 29th, 2006 06:32 PM

Re: Oceania loses a battle! What!?!

What was I to do, let Caelum sit on the victory points unchallenged? Hardly acceptable.
Jurri, my secretary does not ordinarily keep 1134_2_09-FU on hand; please excuse the delay while we obtain and fill it. Meanwhile, please accept my expeditionary forces as a temporary substitute. We hope that this will satisfy you in the interim, and we look forward to working with you again in the future.
