Re: Blood and wine

Reverend Zombie, your nation name is still in the player list. Perhaps you should send me your turn one last time, so the computer can register that you changed to AI now?
I could put you on AI myself, but I prefer not to get some unfair information.

Thanks!

I'm going to need a sub if we get turns between tomorrow and Monday for this game. I'll check back to say whether or not one's been found; otherwise, I'll be unfortunately staling.

Proclamation of Rlyeh

It has come to our attention that the human empires, obviously having little schooling and thus at odds with those mighty sciences of reading and writing, spell the name of our empire as R'lyeh. How did the "'" sneaked up on our glorious name, we do not know, but let it be known to all that the right spelling is "Rlyeh". Yes, Rlyeh, no "'" dangling from the middle like a limp tentacle.

Glory be to the Holiest of Thous, Agon, The Is that Was, The Changer of Calligraphies, The Night Mare of the Deeps, The Maker of the Past, The Twister of Fates.

Ctalou, The Tentacle of Rlyeh.

I'll be sending an email if the game is waiting for 1 or 2 persons, even if it is within our time limits. Just as a reminder, and to get the game speed somewhat up. No worries, of course, if you can't play, we'll keep the 48+24 hour stale limit.

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here... Frank, kindly remove my name from the above tirade and i'll be fine with it. Despite the lovely ring to "johnarryn the traitor" it is neither accurate nor polite.
thanks.

And yes, my two neighbors Abysia and Machaka have turned on me and are currently attacking, though I think that is due more to my geographic position than anything else.

The Nation of Vanheim is no more!

*sigh*

Oh well, interesting game to sub in too, I was hoping to see the pretender - which I had no idea what it was going to be, apart from that I hope I proved to be a thorn in Ermor's side for a while http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Proclamation of Rlyeh

Well, you held it up quite a bit it seems. Looked like you bought lots of mercs with your stale turn gold..

Does make me think that letting people stale twice so early in the game before finding a replacement could be too long, has a lot of influence...

But, thanks for subbing!

Re: Proclamation of Rlyeh

I'd like to point out, for the record, that I will not be using Man's death summons because they are buggy and overpowered; the spells to summon Barghests and Black Dogs actually summon the opposite type.

Though I confess, I considered taking advantage of the bug in recompense for the buggy loss of the half-price temples that Man should be getting http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

Could you please post the nations that have not submitted yet? Or, if the other players have something against it, if Rlyeh has submitted?

I'm asking this because I tend to forget if I've sent my turn or not and end up going to the email box and the sent folder. Things get worse, if I forget to check the "Copy to sent folder" box... Oh did I tell you already that hotmail sucks bigtime? Just so you know.

If anyone is unsure of the rules of these boards they are fairly well covered in a link at the top of your screen. They are worth reading on a regular basis. They also serve as a bit of a FAQ for common misconceptions.

Re: Proclamation of Rlyeh

ouch close call, but indeed, 27 is hosted

Sorlakind March 31st, 2007 10:43 AM

From Rlyeh, to all land empires:

The nation of Rlyeh, inspired in its zeal by the Oh So Magnanimous And Glorious Agon, has initiated a campaign to liberate the seas from land lubbers. This is a message to all land empires: Do not set foot in the seas, neither the western nor the eastern seas (the south seas, controlled by Oceania, and the inner lakes that dot the world do not concern us). If you do, we will drive you out of the sea and then chase you on land all the way to the place you call home.

This message is especially directed to Pythium that currently controls a major part of the eastern seas: If you retreat to land we *may* be lenient and not raid your provinces. This is *not* a promise or a bargain, just informing you that we are not interested in stepping into land and that we leave open the back door for you to leave and not suffer more losses. You very well know that we can reach both ends of your empire, and recent technology advances by our mages make it possible to extend the reach of our army deep into the inner lands. If you fight us on water, we will destroy you and raid you. You are waging wars with other land-dwellers, so if you do not want another war front, LEAVE the seas. NOW. We know you have coaxed some traitor Ichtyds and other sea races into your service. These are but a minority of malcontents that spit on their masters and scorn the liberty that was given them. As you have already witnessed, they are no match for our forces. So we repeat, leave the seas or face destruction.

Glory be to Agon, The Event Singularity, The Unseeing Eye in the Sky, The Mental Traveller, The Unreachable Infinity, The Crest of Astral Tempests, The Left Hand of Emptyness, He With The Ever-Expanding List of Titles In Capitalized Letters.

Ctalou, The Public Tentacle of Rlyeh.
