Re: llamaserver

The telecommunications company have got the phone line working, and say the broadband should be ready Saturday - but it might not be. So I'd appreciate a delay from the first turn processed Saturday until Monday as well.

In general terms, I think a 48-hr turn might be better, as it allows more ability to communicate and co-ordinate with a teammate, but I can handle the 30-hr turnaround fine.

Re: llamaserver

I am fine with extending turn time for weekends.

FrozenFalcon February 1st, 2008 08:07 AM

Re: llamaserver

I think we'll wait till more wars get started for the 48 hour turn. As for the extended turn time on weekends, that's ok for me.

HI!

Iam at work atm and might not be home ion time - Can we delay hosting by 3-4 hours?

Thanks!

I have started a new MP game for semi-newbies. It will use Conceptual Balance Mods with Worthy Heroes. Map will be Alexander. There are still a bout 5-7 places free. Linkie.

Re: llamaserver

Strange, I could swear that the server had received all turns when I checked the staling data. Oh well.

R'lyeh indeed has many stales now. I wouldn't like to do a rehost because of one player (and I even cannot do that). I've been trying to watch the turn postings and postponing the hosting if needed, and I'll try to do it now more often.

Zeldor February 5th, 2008 08:02 PM

Re: llamaserver

FrozenFalcon:

I think he has just that stale [though strange one] after he got that nation from previous player.

FrozenFalcon February 6th, 2008 03:55 AM

Re: llamaserver

I does not matter who caused those stales; What I meant was that R'lyeh really cannot afford more stales.

Acenoid February 6th, 2008 06:11 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

It took over 10 hrs for my email to arrive at the llamaserver i guess there is / was a email provider problem on my side.

Ok, the game will be postponed after the resolving of this turn (32).

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Iam not able to access internet from Home until 16th again.

I realize it is very annoying to wait all the time for someone. So sorry for the hassle.

FrozenFalcon February 11th, 2008 04:01 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Then I believe we have to postpone few days after this turn again.

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Wow this is unfortunate. I'll be gone so unable to send in turns due from Feb. 19 - 22. With our current schedule I think this would only be two turns but with all of the recent delays I understand any reluctance to allow another one. Should I find a sub?

DonCorazon February 11th, 2008 11:46 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

I don't mind a delay

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Heh, and I need a break 29th february till 3rd March, but I think I have mentioned it some time ago already.

FrozenFalcon February 12th, 2008 09:32 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

You also mentioned that you'd get a sub http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Well, you don't have to, since I delayed the game for 5 days and all these other delays around here.

Zeldor February 12th, 2008 09:34 AM

I am trying to get one, but no one is willing as for now http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Iam really sorry for the hassle unfortunately I know no one else who has a legit copy of dom3... >(

otthegreat February 14th, 2008 07:50 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Someone offered to sub but with this as a team game I'd prefer a delay. I'm having tons of fun so I'm kind of being greedy too. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif

So could I get a final answer: is a delay okay or not?

FrozenFalcon February 15th, 2008 01:45 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Yeah, since I've made it a theme to allow delays, then we'll delay the game if needed.

Niarg February 15th, 2008 05:51 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Can I request a delay until monday evening for this turn. I'm really sorry for keep requesting delays but I'll be ok next week.

DonCorazon February 15th, 2008 12:40 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

I really don't mind delays - much preferable than people disappearing or going AI. As long as we don't delay so long that the other players start disappearing and going AI....

Zeldor February 15th, 2008 01:24 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

It is just we got many delays in one time, but game is going to last few months at least, so no problem.

otthegreat February 15th, 2008 08:58 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Thank you FrozenFalcon. Hopefully February is just a busy month and the game will pick up again soon.

Zeldor February 16th, 2008 01:33 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

What's with C'tis? We should have hosting today. What changed? There was no request of postponing hosting by 10 days, we had postpone for Acenoid, who plays R'lyeh.

Niarg February 17th, 2008 07:17 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Thanks for waiting, I should be ok this week.

FrozenFalcon February 20th, 2008 07:48 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Seems that I forgot to postpone the hosting in time. I'm sorry about this; if needed, I will ask llamabeast for redoing the turn. Game is now postponed.

Well, it was there, all empty and in need of an occupying army. And I always wanted a pet sphinx. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...es/biggrin.gif

It didn't look empty http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/image...ies/tongue.gif But pet sphinx is always cool http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif I got not so nice pets though http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

There were only 6 people there! And 4 of those were made of stone, anyway. Oh, and a bunch of knights on holiday. They all wanted to make friends though.

Why next postpone? Did we switch to 100 hours per turn or what?

i dont mind. thats better to have people stalling

FrozenFalcon February 22nd, 2008 07:00 AM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Interwall is still 30 hours; I paniced when Marignon staled and postponed the game n+1 hours so he cannot possibly stale again.

Don't worry about it FrozenFalcon. I'm back everyone! Did you miss me? http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Well you should have posted your turn about 2 days before now, but I'm happy that you're not requesting rehosting. I'm sorry about my mistake, but.. no more hassling! Awesome! I cannot describe my feelings at the moment. No rehosting!

(The contents of this post may have been affected by the alcohol amount I have drunk but it should be true nevertheless. No needless rehosting! I do not have to fix my mistakes! Yay!)

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

As things seem to be hotting up a little (my, Machaka, what a big army you have...), could we go to a 48 hour host please. I've sent this turn in, so it wouldn't need to begin until next turn.

They're on holiday. After all that fighting, they deserved a couple of months of R&R.

FrozenFalcon February 24th, 2008 09:40 AM

If no one disagrees, I will change the interwall to 48h.

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

General Servilius looked up from his paperwork as a figure entered his tent. "You have a report for me, Amrod?" The commander saluted and spoke. "Yes, sir. Despite the recently improved patrol regime, two assassins broke through. One murdered Commander Riego, but not quietly enough. We heard Riego cry out, and the assassin was killed before he could leave the scene of the crime. Another assassin attacked Lord Virbius."

Servilius laughed. "I take it your assistance wasn't needed there". "Correct, sir," Amrod replied. "We have a new prize for the winner of the next melee tournament, too. Oh - one other suspicious character was found and dispatched before he could attempt anything. It's worthy of note that the Machakans aren't using their own men to attempt any of these killings - presumably some of them have a little common sense."

There was nothing suspicious about my monkey.

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

That phrase is just begging to be taken out of context http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

You should have seen what it was trying to do to the Hydra in question, anyway. 'Suspicious' was the only polite word that could be used to describe it.

FrozenFalcon February 28th, 2008 05:43 PM

Re: MA team game for new players, new thread

Arcoscephale is the only one that has not posted his turn and there's about an hour left before hosting; I'll give him few extra hours since he already has a high stale count. Of course, no one should be favored but this is a policy I've been trying to follow every time I see a situation like this. And if the 2 hours are not enough, he'll stale the turn.

Edit: seems that he made his turn right after I made the postpone.
