Oceanians

http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/eek.gif What a shock! Haha! These are cool Oceania! Time to say good bye to dear ol' Atlantis.

Thank you Thank you *bow* That was the great Oceania experiment =)

Re: Oceanians

I won't be able to finish my turn before the deadline, so if I could get an extension that would be nice.

Hadrian_II May 12th, 2008 08:14 AM

Re: Oceanians

I added 3 hours to the timer, if you need more time, please inform me.

Re: Oceanians

I don't believe this. My orders weren't saved. Ulm, I was ready for your attack in Lish, but the orders I made weren't saved when I pressed end turn or at least not sent.

I was in a rush to finish my turn, I had about 20 minutes on the clock. So I went to my gmail account and prepared a mail to send. I clicked on attach file and found the .2h file. When I finished my turn about 10 minutes before the hosting I clicked end turn, then switched to gmail and just hit send. I was under the impression that gmail doesn't really upload the file until you click send. So, the epilogue is that the most important orders for the troops in Lish weren't in the sent .2h file. You won this too easily.

Deeear Oceania

My troops are eagerly waiting for their last heroic stand against your extravagant forces. What takes you so long? Don't be shy!

Re: Oceanians

Dear Atlantis,

You have to excuse our triton knights. They have been so entranced by the wild beauty of the land that they couldn't stop smelling the wonderful flowers.

Re: Oceanians

doh.

I noticed yestarday in the morning that i would not be able to do the turn in the evening as i always do, so i do a turn in a hurry.

Re: Oceanians

Dear cowardly Oceania

Please don't stretch our patience. You're losing all our good will if you keep attacking my main force with single priests to drain my mages' gems.
I mean I own 2 provinces an you about 40 or 60? I have 2 forts you about 20 or more? So I want to see you destroy Atlantis at least with some honor and not with bad taste.
So now fight like a man!

Lord of Atlantis

LoloMo May 17th, 2008 08:13 AM

Re: Oceanians

Dear manly Atlantis,

You exaggerate. Not a single one of your precious gems have been spent as a result of our single priest.

On the otherhand, quite a few of your own troops have been killed by your own stinky hydras. I would venture that's where all the bad taste is coming from.

If 'brave' Atlantis is so eager to die, the 'Lord of Atlantis' is of course welcome to attack us anytime. So be a man, live up to your own words, and attack like a man! Oceanians are but little fishies awaiting instruction from manly Atlantis.

Yours humbly,
Mayor of Atlantis, Winter Capital of Oceania

cupido2 May 17th, 2008 01:22 PM

Re: Oceanians

Hehe yes those hydras reek quite a bit and feed on our PD. PD-jobs now aren't that popular amongst the Atlantians as they were. And it seems you confuse 'manly' with 'stupid'.

Soooooooooooo, when can my manly men, that are getting tired of patrolling my province, expect the attack of your girls? Or are you planning to let them die of old age? Will it speed things up when I send some nature gems to you for more GoR?

Hooray this time the cool monthly priest attack killed a whooping 4 of my flagellant. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/yawn.gif

Re: Oceanians

Ctis is finished. I turned the nation to AI.

I don't think I stood a chance. Ulm was all over the place. But still, it was very educational.

Announcement

The Nation of Kailasa does not tolerate other forces in the former abysian territorys, please remove yourself from it, or we will have to do it for you.

LoloMo July 30th, 2008 10:14 PM

Re: Announcement

Hadrian will be away for about a month, and has given me admin duties. I have postponed hosting of the game until a sub can be found for Kailasa. Xietor is currently safekeeping Kailasa's password.

I'll make a post looking for a sub.

LoloMo July 31st, 2008 12:48 AM

Re: Announcement

Ok sub found for Kailasa, QM will be taking over. Thanks QM! I'll set the hosting for 72 hours if there are no objections.

Re: Announcement

The password I got does not seem to let me change the destination e-mail address (to get the turn) on the llamaserver, though.

Falkor July 31st, 2008 04:28 PM

Re: Announcement

Thanks QM. Have fun!
I like 72h turn.

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

what is the state of the game now?

i can take kailasa back if qm does not want to play them any longer

Falkor August 31st, 2008 02:23 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Ulm is still the first power. It looks like nothing changed since QM is subbing you. Statistically, at least.
:)

LoloMo October 11th, 2008 03:09 AM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Ulm has staled 3 times in a row. Shall we find a sub for him?

Hadrian_II October 11th, 2008 09:34 AM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

it would not hurt, but i was not even able to find a temp sub for kailasa on turn 100, so who will play a sub for a 80 province empire on turn 125?

LoloMo October 13th, 2008 11:40 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Shall we elect a winner, declare a draw, or turn Ulm to AI?

Revolution October 14th, 2008 12:35 AM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Doesn't really matter to me, I had lost this game by turn 30 ^^

It is a bit strange to fight a permastalling player, so declaring draw or ulm as the winner might be the right variant. (or declare kailasa winner, but that would be quite undeserved :))

Falkor October 14th, 2008 11:26 AM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

If we want to finish this game the draw is appropriate ending, I think.

LoloMo October 14th, 2008 12:48 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

I agree to a draw. We need one more vote to be unaminous. I've postponed hosting by 72 hours.

Hadrian_II October 14th, 2008 04:52 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

i wrote a message to mrsparkle if he does not response, i think he silently accepts the draw

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Well, congratulations to all of you that made it to the end! This was a fun game while it lasted for me.

Next time I will wait for some global warming before foolishly sending my lizards off into the land of ice and snow!

Hadrian_II October 17th, 2008 05:05 AM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

I did not get any answer from ulm, so i consider the game a draw. (i will not yet declare it finished as someone might want to protest)

Hadrian_II October 21st, 2008 05:26 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

OK, as noone protested, blessing is now officially a draw between:
ulm, oceania, pangaea and kailasa

LoloMo October 21st, 2008 09:00 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Congrats to all who made it this far! Was it turn 130? Never realized how tough it was for Oceania to move onto land.

Hadrian_II October 22nd, 2008 12:06 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

After i had defeated Abysia, the game entered the ultra lategame stage, when huge armies where massacred by SCs and ulms ugly ability to cast mass flames from the sky.

But i think i learned a bit about endgame tactics :)

Falkor October 23rd, 2008 08:44 PM

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

That was my first mp game. I enjoyed it greatly.:)

My thanks for the game to all participants! Special thanks for Hadrian II for moderating the game! :)

Re: EA Game "A Blessing in Disguise"

Thanks Hadrian for moderating! I've gone ahead and declared this game as finished on llamaserver.
