We, the Council of Ermor, have a whole bunch of earth gems. But they just fell out of the sky... we didn't mine them.

Panakeia

Panakeia, the Goddess of Healing, divine ruler of things that grow, and akin to Nature herself, has declared spiders to be anathema. And Panakeia is happy to report that no Black Hunter Spiders shall be seen in the world henceforth.

The breeding ground of the Black Hunter spiders is under the guidance of Panakeia, and more wonderful creatures it shall now produce.

The Foul Being worshiped by the misguided Machakians has been vanquished, and the misguided are now being brought to the Light.

A dreamer's images of the evil Black Hunter spiders has been captured by magical means.

Another announcement from Agartha

Agartha the Great hereby declares that C'tis is from now on regarded as vassal 1st class and shall be the right hand of Agartha the Invincible once the whole world is united under the wise rule of Helena. All lowly tribes: Bow to C'tis!
And as a special honor for our new vassal 1st class, we hereby declare war on Pangea in the name of C'tis, as Agartha the One that knows all has knowledge that Pangea attacked our loyal vassal Jotunheim. May the reign of the foul pangean god be ended swiftly.

And Ermor: Is this the way you thank Agartha the Great for ending the conflict with Pythium? Feel reprehended! And Agartha won't be so forgiving next time.

Abysia went down when Helena broke free. A coincidence? Don't mess with Agartha!

It's funny that they won the Death Match. That mage may not be able to find a province to carry the trident back to.

Its sad to see for us that agarthas mind went the way of the starspawn.

The pangaean council debated if agartha should be destroyed, but has decided that they are not worth our attention.

Also a small group of adolescent centaurs has left our lands heading for agartha with the target of capturing the false pretender helena, so we can put her on display in our capitol.

Re: Panakeia

War wrecks the world. Atlantis fights Oceania beneath the waves. Pangaea battles with the Giants. And the Forge has been cast by Vanheim. An act of dominion or folly? Time will tell.

Amidst the turmoil there is the Pythium Trading House. Pythium buys and sells gems to all Nations. None are excluded.

While Pythium is willing to buy any type of gem, it is seeking Air Gems with vigor. It will buy air gems at a premium price for a short time only, or trade nature/earth gems 1 for 1. Pythium's offer to trade d gems for air is withdrawn due to an overwhelming response that has depleted our d gem supply.

Pythium-A Name you Trust.

Yeah getting pretty busy over here.

I always get my turn done just before the 48 hours except on weekend where I have more time.

Re: Abysia is dead!

Shin, don't make me shake my finger at you again! This is the weekend. Do your turn.

Xietor March 30th, 2008 06:12 AM

Re: Abysia is dead!

From Velusion on the 1st page:

"After that the timer will increase to 48 hours though it is hoped that players will normally still be able to play every 24 hours, with the occasional missed day."

From the above, I am not sure Velusion contemplated one player deliberately waiting to the last minute of the 48 hour period. Turns at this juncture take 5-10 minutes to complete.

But short of killing the player off, there is not much that can be done. Velusion has a rule against badgering people to do their turns, so I would suggest no more posts on the subject.

If it bothers you, declare war and kill the offending player.

Reay March 30th, 2008 06:24 AM

Re: Abysia is dead!

Turns are definitely not taking me 5-10 minutes at the moment.

I am not deliberately waiting to the last minute either. I am sure some of us have different priorities at different times. I have not been able to take my turn until now.

Velusion March 30th, 2008 01:22 PM

Re: Abysia is dead!

Asking players to do their turns early - before the timer is up - is a general no no.

The cure for "Dom3 turn impatience" malady is to join another game (though this might lead to other problems) http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

Re: Pythium Trading House/pledge

Pythium trading house is open for business.

We are trading Air, Water, and Fire gems for other types(except Earth in homage to Agartha).

Pythium, to alleviate any unwarranted fears, pledges the following:

1. Pythium does not own any clams, and has no mage capable of making a clam(Velusion can verify).

2. Pythium's highest level s mage has old age and is s4 only(Velusion can verify).

3. Pythium pledges not to cast Arcane Nexus the entire game,
not that we can anyway with an s4 old mage. But who knows what the future may bring? Pythium does reserve the right to overwrite another nation's Arcane Nexus as that may be the only way to save the World.

4. Pythium also pledges, since it is lawful good, not to cast Burden of Time, Utterdark, or Astral Corruption the entire game. If Pythium casts any of these spells, it forfeits the game.

Pythium-A Name you can Trust.

You will see no similar pledges from other Nations.

Need a Temporary Substitute for Man

I will have no internet access from April 5 - April 13 while I am on vacation. I was wondering if someone who had already been eliminated from the game might want to substitute for that time. Or, does anyone in the game know someone they could recommend.

My turns only take about 5 minutes. Please post hereor PM me if you have any suggestions,

Thanks.

I would ask Lolomo. He has already subbed for Evilhomer, so he has the map and mods already. Plus with simple 5 minute turns, he is a good bet. And he is reliable.

And he carries no grudges.

Pythium:People of Peace

The Nations of the World may have noticed from the score graphs that Pythium, the People of Peace, are engaged in a war with Vanheim.

Pythium is a lawful good nation, and we had good relations with our neighbor Vanheim. We even did a trade or two. But Pythium is a free people, and cannot bend knee to a foreign master.

There are certain global spells that Panakeia feels are so powerful, that if not brought down, will in time force all to bend knee to the Pretender owning the powerful global.
The Forge is one such global. Arcane Nexus, Burden of Time,
Utterdark, and Astral Corruption are the others.

War was not Pythium's 1st option. It sought other nations to help dispel the Forge. But the general consensus was with an infinite amount of Earth gems from the Deep Well Global, the Forge could be easily recast.

So with regret and sadness, Pythium gave its 3 turn notice to Vanheim, its one time friendly neighbor. And after 3 turns of taking no type of hostile action whatsoever against Vanheim, began its attack-albeit with heavy hearts.

Pythium has already pledged not to cast Arcane Nexus, Astral Corruption, BOT, and Utterdark. But it wishes to give this warning to any nation considering casting one of these all powerful endgame globals-do not do it. The free world will not stand idly by and become enslaved.

Pythium-A Name you Trust.

Re: Pythium:People of Peace

C'tis has great fear of the monstrous devices that can be constructed at negligible cost using the Forge of the Ancients.

We thank the mighty nations of Pythium, Ermor, Eriu, and of course Agartha, for their arduous struggle against the creations of the Forge, and our blessings are upon them in this war.

As for events in the West, the false god of Marignon has been slain yet once more. But we fear we will see him again and again, until his last castles are stormed, and his remaining temples torn down.

C'tis

Re: Pythium:People of Peace

We, the Council of Ermor, say that the forge shall go down at our hands. The Forger is under siege, and will be killed soon. We expect repatriation from all other nations for this service. We do not expect much... a few gems from each nation after the forge is destroyed will do.

Spoken,
The Council of Ermor

Dear Ermor, you misunderstood the Stone Oracles. Agartha the One that knows all will heed your call and send gems to Vanheim, as it was Vanheim itself that killed the caster of those cursed global spell. However, Agartha the Great, the One that fights Vanheim since the beginning, will continue to exterminate the last nests of the Vans that still exist on this world.

Re: Temporary Substitute

I previously asked for notice before summoning my djinn away.

While I only kept 15 gems of items on him-less when you consider the forge bonus-it would have been nice to remove them.

Fortunately I was using the Djinn to site search when he was summoned, but previously I had used him in military actions. Another reason I asked for a 1 turn notice before he was summoned away.

I would like to hear from the offending party before my scouts spot the Djinn in action. Of course if it was Vanheim, then his motive is pure, though he was late in the summoning. The work by the Djinn had already been done.

If any nation spots the djinn flying around, a reward is in the offering.

I wonder if Vanheim has dropped from the game? Shin is always last... I understand that, and have no problem with it. But meister miagi usually takes his turn well before this.

Hats\' Off!

I would like to say good game to meister_miagi. Vanheim was a strong power on the south continent, maybe the strongest. Casting the Forge was a bold play, but in this instance I think it was a bit too early.

In the end poor Vanheim was fighting 1 v 4, and that is not much fun. His Pretender took a fair share of Ermor troops with him though on his way out.

If it is any consolation meister_miagi you may have weakened Ermor to the point that he cannot fight off Caelum.

And the Peaceful People of Pythium are now at peace once again. With the forge gone, the World is a brighter and safer place. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
