Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Yes, for those of you looking at the Hall of Fame, Hysteria did indeed kill almost 500 undead by herself. Hysteria is tired now. Hysteria needs a nap.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Is it because Hysteria is still feebleminded?
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Yes, Hysteria's head hurts. It will get better though. She just needs some bed rest.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Whenever Elore's feeling down, he likes to take a dip in his blood pool and drink chai. Jomon will send her some chai, if you like. :)
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
I hope Elore likes fireball spam with that Chai.
Edit: But really, we the people of Man mourn your loss. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Oh please. There's no tea embargo, is there? You can have some chai too, you know. Just because we're murdering each other senselessly, there's no need to be uncivilized about it. Tsk.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
I'm sure some Chai tea would help Hysteria's headache immensely. Thanks very much.
But seriously, why is anyone fighting anyone else besides Ermor/Agartha? They are the team to beat right now. I know R'lyeh is a threat, but don't we all need to sit down, hash out our differences, and exterminate Ermor at this point in the game? I call for a global League of Nations, to end all other disputes for the time being, and focus on destroying the Ermor/Agartha alliance. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Come one, come all. We have more suprises for all of the lovely would-be-gods come to see our lands for themselves.
(OOC: For the record, Micha and Ling, you guys have been amazing opponents. I've been trying to make a good account of myself, and I hope that I have not been making this TOO easy) |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Also; no Gorgon should ever have more than 100 hit points. That's just plain MEAN.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well, we're at war with TC and Jomon because they *attacked* us.
And we're going to exterminate them if we possibly can. If not, we'll obviously do our best to make sure that either R'lyeh or Ermor can make thme regret their vain war against us. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
I must admit that TC and Mictlan have quite impressive blesses.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Did we attack you first, Dr. P? Elore was still in Tartarus at the time, and I don't think the people in power previously kept good records. Needless to say, it's not as if we could simply go on allowing the sneaky people of Abysia to remain as they were. Vicious little spitfires that they are, it would be unseemly.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
I've been watching the North East with anticipation. It's actually been a nice back and forth for some time.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well to be fair we of T'ien Ch'i had actually sent Abysia a notice that we were just trying to cross through a few of his lands to get to an area with my ally's friendly dominion. Apparently he did not read the message completely.
Instead of being cool about it Abysia got all hot and bothered and attacked my few humble mage's making their journey through what would have been only 2 or 3 of his provinces with his Prince of Death. And thus began the extermination of Abysia/Mictlan. Perhaps he should have payed more attention to the initial message we sent to him. |

He may have won the last battle, but then again he only managed to kill a few of my sacred troops as they were all in the rear and retreated before they really got involved in the battle too much. Had the battle gone on a little while longer he'd have lost. But have no fear.. Plenty more are already on their way up to replace the few that were lost and then some. I must say though, I'll be glad when I find that province he's recruiting those Pegasus Riders from.. They will make a great addition to my army. (Assuming that they are from some random site as I think they are) |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
PsiSoldier:
I would be rather more worried about your ally. While you are gaining land and forts, he suffered quite a loos against nasty Abysian magery. I think his cavalry though they are as good as Ancestor Vessels :) And while we are are fighting and bleeding Marignon is turtling and getting some nasty things to unleash on winners. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Ah, is that how it looks to you? Jomon is merely following Elore's wishes -- to have a completely one-sided aggression would be rude. A proper war must have back and forth.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well, my main objective all along has been to keep Mictlan too busy to help Abysia which I have succeed rather nicely at, although after watching that last one in Clon I'd say Abysia is doing ok for itself right now.
But you know.. The wishes of Elore and all that jazz :D Mictlan managed to put a temporary stop to my advance and looks like they are sending another 300 crap troops down at me, all slaves from the looks of things. I'd say maybe 100 slaves = 1 ancestor vessles so not too worried there.. Abysia will feel the wrath of TC long before he has a chance to take back much of his old lands from Jomon though. Assuming he is even able. Quote:

Zantaron, a name who's utterance shall be met with revulsion by the people of Bogarus. That bastard simply did not know how to run.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hm, how odd. And we had sent him just enough friends that he would leave if you moved your army back. Instead, he seemed to be filled at rage that you would try and banish him with such meager forces. I daresay, if not for that paralyze, things would be gotten more interesting still.
Ah well. I must go ready the legions. We do not want your archers, who are violating noise codes, to be lonely in our silent lands, after all. (OOC: Thanks Ling. I've never done LA Ermor in multi before, but it is a blast. I'm just kicking myself for not employing some tactics earlier in the game, which you and Mich have made me suffer dearly for.) |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
There may have been some tactics you had gone for earlier, but I don't think it would have mattered much. The Gorgon is a horrible opponent for you to match up against, Ermor.

Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well, Ermor, it was good fighting you (heh, not really). But it appears you are going down now. The League of Nations did well, although we suffered quite a few setbacks on the way. Massive armies that can feed themselves in wastelands are now coming your way. Hysteria is retiring from the fight now, to pursue more scholarly endeavors. If she is needed, of course, she can re-appear at a moment's notice.
I don't want to declare Ermor dead just yet, but he is looking rather torn up. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
The first of Ermor's fortifications has fallen, along with the temple it hid. Ermor's pretender was also banished back to their unholy capital after falling in battle to the brave footmen of Ulm.
Rejoice, for the might of Ulm is the ally of the living, and we shall push back the darkness until it is no more. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Huh, I am getting some really ugly battle replay bugs. That is not funny.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
It doesn't seem buggy.
Both I and Bogarus lost a scout in that province this turn. I'm sure that Bogarus can confirm that the losses you suffered are due to powerful evocation spells cast by 11 of Argatha's best mages supported by a few weaker mages. Some of those mages had gems to boost their magic as well. Edit: Not to mention some nice foot wear. A few boots of the messenger and one set of earth boots. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Oh yeah, I don't blame that bodies, but losses are a bit different thatn what replay shows [but well, maybe not so much].
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hmm. I heard a rumor that some people staled last turn. Not naming names, but c'mon. This is a relatively small game with a 48 hour hosting time. I don't believe there are any excuses for a stale... unless you want out of the game. In that case, I'm sure there would be people willing to take over for your nations. This is an elite level game, after all.
Let's have some teamwork here, people. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Disappointing with a rather disastrous attack at an Ermorian stronghold, Erebose called his army to meet and discuss the recent engagement. He was quite disappointed, many of his followers had fled the battle before even receiving a wound, scared of the undead force and a persistent wind. Arriving at the meeting spot Erebose was surprised to find he was the only one there. As it turned out they were all too scared to be in the same province as him, they had all decided to go out and play with dolls.
Erebose cried. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Luckily the Ulmish are made of sterner stuff, and our glorious nation was able to sack yet another Ermorian fort, razing the unholy thing they call a temple to the ground even before the last Ermorian corpse had stopped twitching. We thank our Bogarussian allies for their excellent feint, since we knew not even the undead hordes of Ermor could put up with the dishonor of being defeated by the Bagarussian "army."
We were also witness to the second defeat of Primus, as he was struck down for his hubris after trying to harness magic that is clearly beyond his capability to control. We were somewhat saddened that we were not able to destroy his body ourselves, but in he end Micah stood proud on the battlefield, while his enemy had been reduced to mere dust in the wind. (Hope you don't mind me ragging on bogarus, but their troops really are that bad. And it was pretty amusing watching Primus suicide on the very first turn of his wrathful skies casting) |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Frank says something is weird with the hosting interval?
I'm working on a political campaign and have no sense of time, or day and night. Has anyone else noticed something off? I'm extending hosting just in case. Edit: D'oh. I think I dropped the timer back down to 24h. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hmm. I kind of liked the fast pace again. But then, some do not. 44 hours till host though, and only Jomon is out. Maybe we can get one more turn done this weekend. Le't go Jomon :)
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hrrrm Jomon hasnt responded to my PM's for a few days now it seems like. I'm not even sure he took his last turn or not. When it was a few hours to host I did a few things for him and sent him a message but I'm not sure if he ever came on and took his turn for real. Might need to find a sub if he doesnt show up soon.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
We were on 48h timer. So why 48h more added now?
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Are we sure? I'm heading out again - but if Jomon stales with no explanation, what do we want to do?
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hmm... I think we had hosting at around 5 AM GMT time on Wednesday, Friday ans Sunday, didn't we? I can be wrong here.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Hrrrm Maybe I should go ahead and do Jomon's turn so we can get this moving.
|
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well, whoever did Jomon's turn, thanks.
Of course, Ermor kicked my *** again, so maybe I did not really want to see this turn, but it's good to get the hosting done to keep interest up in the game. lol. that's hilarious. the forum filtered my three letter term for ones' backside. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
The State of the World as Man Sees It:
These are indeed though times. There has been a lot of war since the beginning of this game, and aside from the annihilation of Atlantis, all of that warfare has been unresolved. The evil empire of Ermor is falling at last. They have done well considering the odds. Though I must be honest. From what I've seen, and as Pangaea admits, the forest beings have not done well in stemming the Ermorian tide. They have suffered great defeat after great defeat. Only by the grace of their god, Hysteria, have they ever achieved significant victory. Bogarus entered very late in the struggle and has played the part of a poorly organized opportunist. Ermor is not falling because of either of these nations. Ermor is falling because of Ulm in my opinion. Ulm has grown stronger and stronger with every fight and Ermor has grown weaker and weaker. Superb battle placement, rare artifacts, high level evocation, and unique demons are all at their disposal. Ermor will fall. To the East an equally epic battle has been waged. The forces of T'ien Ch'i and Jonom have been fighting Mictlan and Abysia for ages. I have seen many impressive battles. The defeat of the great Jonom calvary was interesting to me. One well placed fireball after the other decimated their army, one square at a time. If it were not for the forces of T'ien Ch'i, Jomon would fall. T'ien Ch'i on the other hand has done well in their fight against their respective foe, Mictlan. So well that they have dispersed capitol only sacreds to aid their ally. They are by far the largest nation on the entire map. Both T'ien Ch'i and Mictlan have exercised a triple bless or greater. Both nations wielded their sacred armies battle after battle. It seemed like a fair match. Yet, at the end of the day, T'ien Ch'i has gained the most ground. That said, the most recent spectacle places Mictlan on top. While T'ien Ch'i has relied mostly on the brute effectiveness and survivability of their sacreds, Mictlan has turned to the powers of evocation. In a decisive battle just miles away from Mictlan's capitol, the main force of T'ien Ch'i have been broken and scattered. Unless T'ien Ch'i revises their tactics, they will fall. Fortunately for them, they have the luxury of time. To the South-East lies the nation of Marignon and Pythium. Pythium has done their part to fend off Ermor and Argatha. I have seen their toxic sacred Hydras, and I am not impressed with how they have been used. Unless they are holding back a great deal of resource and tactical knowledge, the nation of Pythium will likely fall. Their ally on the other hand, Marignon, is a wildcard. They have never been tested and instead they have been allowed to stew and simmer. Only time will tell if they have prepared well for the doom that awaits them. Argatha, the ally of Ermor, has not been talked about much at all this game. They started a war against Man, most likely out of boredom and the desire to expand. Argatha had beaten the small nation of Man back to their capitol, losing caster after caster along the way. Then Ry'leh approached and a retreat was in order. Since then the Argathians have held off their foes by employing a great deal of mid-level evocation. In front of their army lies a kill zone where everything dies. Though Argatha has taken losses and have lost small battles here and their, their primary force has never been broken. That said, the pressure of two nations leaning against them has taken their toll. Their empire resembles swiss cheese and like Ermor, Argatha will fall. Bogarus, the only nation without an ally. From what I've seen, and from what Ulm has vocally observed, is likely to be the next nation eaten by the empire of vampiric lords. May fate have mercy upon them. They will likely fall. I dare not speak of my fate, for it is grim. I also dare not speak of the fate of my Ally, for they are mad. I dare not say that my predictions are prophecy. Their is much that hinges on what people have been doing in the background. I can only speak of what I see. I can only tell you the trends. I do not mean to insult anyone. It is the state of the world as I see it. I can not see it all, and so I may have sold some nations short, and given a few credit that is undeserved. That said, good luck to us all. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Quote:
Ulm will forgive the people of Man their mistake, for they have undoubtedly begun to go slightly mad at this point, but we do wish to reassure the Bogarussian people that we have no desire to see them fall. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Sorry, it was a ill conceived prediction based on what I see. The primary forces of Ulm will surely be there when Ermor falls. Barring the use of army wide teleportation, the most convenient target for their invasion force would be Bogarus. Still, your army is nothing more then a revolving door of units which don't mean as much. It is the items and several key commanders that are most important, and I realize this.
Pythium would also be another candidate for Ulm/Pangaea's expansion. However, I deemed Bogarus the likely target because they have no ally and because Ulm has commented on their army, meaning that he has seen it in action. I did not mean to say that you had targeted Bogarus, but rather that you appeared to know more about them then you did of other bordering nations. Logic dictates that you would gravitate toward the known, rather then the unknown. Yet still, this draws much more attention to the future then should be granted. What matters is what is happening now and the next few turns. Their are too many unknown factors to be sure of anything. Ermor is weakening, but not dead. Mictlan has won a battle, but certainly not the war. Bogarus has sent an army, but it may not be a dedicated effort. I can't say that anyone knows anything about Marignon. Let time tell the story. Edit: By the way, we are indeed going mad... |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Ahh, I was mostly making an OOC crack about how Bogarus' national units are just freaking terrible (I'm playing them in another game, and I feel for Revolution). I was commenting on the nation, not their current position, though I can see how that could be misinterpreted.
And I can easily gate over 200 units with a single cast at this point, so moving my armies around isn't too hard a proposition, especially since I'm expecting a lot of them to die in the line of duty. Anyhow, for now Ulm continues to battle the Ermorian threat, we don't care to let them have a chance at stabilizing due to bickering over who may or may not be the next target of a war. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
In defense of my nation of Pan, yes they have lost some big battles. But in each of those battles, they have inflicted heavy casualties on Ermor. And when it is opportune, Hysteria comes in and mops them them up. I am certainly not winning against Ermor, but I have held my own, for now.

Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
im regret to say that, but i need to withdraw from this game.
i currently on a business trip which is going to take weeks and im unlikely to get internet connection for this period. please find me a sub. Nozshand, Pythium |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
Well, in that case, the call goes out for a sub.
His ally can take a few turns for him but this is supposed to be a team game :). If someone can cover one turn for him so he doesn't stale, this might be a good idea also. |
Re: Revenge of Pimping - Let's go Voltron Force!
I think Jomon needs a sub too. I think TC played for him last turn and it doesn't look like he will submit that turn.
