I can send you this turn 10 fire and 20 nature gems. 30 death gems sounds good to me (or 20 death and 20 blood slaves if you prefer).

@Muse - 20 Egems sent - where is your army? You have a good opportunity to raid monkey lands while he's main army is trying to invade me.

@Grijalva - you're attacking my territories without any warning. Is this how monkeys go to war? Prepare for hard times.

yes, it is :)

Re: Great Forum, game running

@Lhassa

You brought this on yourself in possibly two ways: one, you twice ignored my monkey-offers of monkey-NAPs.

Secondly, someone is causing unrest in my territories that are suspiciously close your own, and you happen to have a nice national spy. Granted, it could be another nation, but given the distance involved, that would require a lot of patience...

...aaaand, if another player has spent all of this time patiently moving spies into distant places just to foment war between us...well...I guess he's earned his treat. :)

I guess I should point out to this hypothetical other player that if I do catch one of your spies doing nefarious deeds in The Land of the Apes, you should expect a veritable storm of monkey poo in the near future.

No offense to Pangaea if I'm wrong, but it looks like he has reached that, unfortunate, "I'm bored so I quit" point that seems to happen when new players play the maened-factory-pangaea-strat...

So, maybe we need a sub?

Lihaässä October 30th, 2010 04:18 AM

Re: Great Forum, game running

About Pangaea: If that's the case I would recommend setting him AI since he only holds 7 provinces. If you think that it would be possible to cause havoc and challenge someone with his troops we could have a sub. Otherwise I think its just waste of time.

@Mscfish, if you were stalling for some other reason than what Grijalva proposed and you still want to be in the game, I'm sorry about the above comments.

Num October 30th, 2010 11:22 AM

Re: Great Forum, game running

I would prefer Pangaea going AI, as it looks like not powerful enough for a sub to get a fun and interesting situation.

Arnob asked for a postpone to monday evening, the next turn is still due to monday morning.

October 31st, 2010 05:20 AM

Re: Great Forum, game running

second that, I suggested a sub but really setting him to AI seems like a better choice.

Spiders taste good
We not like them very much
NAP 3 so they die?

Three headed dragons
They are big, have fire breath
How make them suffer?

we cuddle you, if you like that

PS: Translation for foreign monkeybrains:

We should team efforts against the spider riders, and then eat them. Unfortunately, They employ those huge three headed dragons, any hints about killing em?

Great ! My only ally is now a dump AI ...

To all :
The people of Ulm encounters some difficulties. We are on the north-east corner and we are a very disturbing nation for the big giants from cold and the people of vanheim.

So I'm currently looking for any ally in war against this two nation. My first need is money, in exchange I can forge at a reduced cost (50%) many item (1F2E in a large scall or some specific artifac)

To Arnob

I have no interest in joining your war, sorry but the monkeys are just going banana's over how powerful Machacka has become.

However, if its just gold you want, I would be willing to send you 2F2E gems and 100 gold in exchange for a firebrand.

EDIT: actually, I would prefer just to pay gold, if possible, how much would you want for a firebrand?

Ah, sure!

This was all about reaching Machacka to begin with, and I think i got that a-plenty ;)

however due to capital placement, western sea of storms (12) cannot be easily included in such a deal. If you agree to that exemption, then we got a nap 5.

We welcome our monkeys in arms, but do not appreciate poo on our negotiation tables. I hear far worse about the Machakas tho. It's said they spit into their hands to seal a deal, can you imagine dealing with such a barbaric people for more then a few years?

currently there's two of them Zmeies, plowing south into my lands, where the river enters the sea. I'm sure we stop them eventually, but our inexperience with slaying dragons will cost us more then necessary.

@ Muse, What is this treachery?

22.10.2010
Quote:

Your offer is quite worthy, and accepted! The north and west are yours, I shall take the coast and south.

For the northern provinces that we currently hold, we would wish a sum of Earth Gems--however many you can spare, though twenty would be a great boon.

Be advised: Shinuyama has an army headed to those provinces at this very moment, the far north. (Within reach of Last Retreat by next turn, likely.)
His armies under the waves we project will fare less well.

To clarify: We will still require the coastline that we posses currently. It is unlikely that Shinuyama will capture it.

This arrangement should create a lovely funnel directly into his heart, while his coast is raided.
This is you're answer to my proposal - I've already paid my debts (20E gems) we can ask the administration to check that one out.

You've promised your allegiance and we have divided already the lands of goblins. We also share NAP3. I still haven't seen your main army taking his lands. To me this sounds like that the great forum hasn't heard all of the talks that is going behind my back?

How is this going to be? - I have played my role and given you what you've requested. I pledge you to take actions you have promised. You are still the true god in the south, take what is your's and leave the goblins to your voiceless ones!

I shall burn, charm or bleed those who try to invade my lands. At this point I would ask from my diplomatic partners (Vanheim, Rlyeh and Abysia) what are you really going to do with the monkeys who are grinning behind you backs? Now they are turning face to the west, It's you're chance to act.

The entire sea is the deal, or face a two-front war.
An NAP-5 will give you ample warning should we wish to attack you; you've little to fear from the Western Sea of Storms.

As compensation, we shall relinquish Moorway (79) to you; we only wish the small province of Lower Hoburgia (84).
I trust you can see the strategic value in this.

-------------------------------------------------------------

To Machaka:

There is no treachery-- we are still at peace.
We simply sold you some land that you requested. (The payment we've received just this turn, which we thank you for.)

We made no promise to remain at war with Shinuyama indefinitely.

We're quite simply withdrawing from all surface conflicts, as we likely should have done long ago.
We shall keep a single tea-selling kiosk on the beach, and return to the waves.

Luckily, that should not be a trouble this time-- all the transit routes are open and clear.
'Tis good that our peace is finally solidified.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Advisory for Machaka:

Shinuyama should be withdrawing from Lower Hoburgia (84), as per agreement.
Holding or placing PD in this province will be considered an immediate act of war, placing you in a three-front conflict.

Otherwise, we have no quarrel with either of you and wish both sides interesting battles in the coming conflict.

To clarify: We do not care if a battle takes place there, now that Shinuyama currently possesses it-- we simply care that the single province is returned to us peacefully after all the troop movements are settled. (Whosoever comes out as the victor.)

This should not materially impact either economy or army mobility.

We are, of course, open to negotiation in all matters. (Should it be necessary.)

We shall also reiterate this:

As a sing of my good will I leave no guards to the province in question, but I ask you to consider, why are you doing this? By attacking from two directions, goblins could be easily defeated. I also request a NAP extension to 5 turns as a sign of your good will and intentions.

@ Grijalva, Moving one single commander to prevent other army's movement is usually considered coward (turn 39, Eastern Landbridge). I hope you didn't do this intentionally?

The province was quite simply the property of R'lyeh before Shinuyama accidentally took it. If Shinuyama (or anyone) took perhaps Hoburg Run next to your capital, then I captured it from them, would you not request it back undamaged?

As for our lands: We have no lands at the moment, we have only oceans, through which no goblins are permitted.

Easily defeated, perhaps, perhaps not.
In anycase, we've had quite enough of wars on parched land for the current time. We're withdrawing to the sea, and for that intention the current NAP-3 suits us nicely.

Thank you to manage this.

I have a NAP upgraded to 5 turns with Grijalva/Bandar Log. I used to have a good relationship with him since the beginning, trading astral gems for death ones. He wanted to build a secured northern border for fighting next to the West, because Machaka is the leading nation for a while (and south ?), and I needed the same in order to attack Arnob/Ulm.

Mighty leader of Bandar!

I would like to purchase Serpents Tail from you. It would straighten out our borders and its inhabitants are followers of the abysian cult. I understand it is not too far from your capitol, so to assure u of my good will, I offer a NAP5 and a payment both of us would see as fair. How about 500 gold and 50 fire gems?

Lihaässä November 16th, 2010 01:45 PM

Re: Great Forum, game running

@ Earcaraxe - I wish you would take your axe to your hand and burn the monkeys from your lands.. I have made him bleed and you have all means killing his powerfull astral communions. We share a NAP3 and I'm willing to change it for NAP5. I fight simultaniously against 1,5 opponents (since I consider goblins only half men), with your aid the monkeys would gain another enemy and you could take the Serpents Tail by force.

@ Num - We share only tiny borderline and I wish we could extend our relationship with trading.. I could offer you some F and W gems in exhange of N, S and D gems. I believe I could also forge you some boosters if you need them.. for a good price of course.

@ ADMIN - NAP3 with Machaka and Vanheim is not in the 1st page, please update it. What comes to Bandar, I think everyone knows that we've been fighting "pretty even" couple of turns so no NAP's on this side :D

*Num*, I would love to keep trading gems with you. I have 54 death gems I can send you in trade. I shall keep to the terms of the NAP 5 as well.

*Earcaraxe* Your NAP, gold, and gems sound good. Serpent's Tail doesn't really have any bananas anyhow, so we trade it to you happily.

*Lihaässä* I can only imagine you are mad because my monkeys aren't potty trained very well, and perhaps they soiled your lawn one evening? I shall try to keep them better in line, and hopefully we can make peace.
