In one battle where I fielded 10 pans to all cast swarm/howl etc...farstrike took out 2-3 of those pans in the 1st combat round before they even got 1 spell off. You would expect 27hp pans to last longer than 1 round when behind 100-200 troops. Especially early in the game. |

Farstrike was indeed useful in killing Pans, on the counter side there were battles with Pans involved in which the Pans weren't targeted by it but rather chaff like wolves and maeneds.
QM, I have all my BARK turns saves so if you want you can analyze for your self just how useful farstrike became. INHO, it became just as useful as it should be, and not because I have enjoyed it as Marverni. Had I played Pan I would have countered it by fielding driads instead of Pans, or Using white centaurs, meaning this spell adds another choice to early game strat. which imo is nice. |
