I am only in trouble because people who have defense agreeements with me are attacking me " so ermor doesnt get it all". You cant be happy losing 900 undead even tho i know you have more. Shame on the traitorous Boron!

Sorry Frosted Flake . But if i would have attacked ermor i would have been dead in 10 turns . And if i wouldn't have taken a few provinces from you it would have been no difference because ermor would have just needed 5-10 turns more to get your lands and be even stronger than now http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif .

This 900 lost undead were only fodder and the break in scoregraphs in army size is not very impressing at all http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif . Ermor is nasty and unrewarding to fight against http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Really evil what happened to you http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif .
You should have asked ermor before what he thinks when you participate in the war againt Ctis .

Lepakko, looks like you staled - are you still out there?

I understand there's not much left for you to do here, but could you at least set yourself to AI, if you're not interested in playing this out?

Thanks,

Thufir

Thufir October 8th, 2004 10:16 PM

Re: MP Game - Pandemonium (noob/int game) - running

If no one objects, I will set Lepakko to AI if we're waiting on just him again this turn. That's a bit agressive in that I'm not waiting for the usual 2 stale turns before setting AI, but all Lepakko has is one province thats under siege, w/ about 8 units in it, and he can't recruit, so there's really nothing left to be done there.

Lepakko, if you're reading this, you've put up a good fight - you certainly had me on the run in the early going. Hope to meet you in another game!

Well, the dreaded Ermor invasion has come at Last. Though we have all abandoned Arcoscephale to their fate, it is as they predicted, and as Arcoscephale goes, so go we all! Most certainly, we declare, let none believe that they may stand if Abysia herself should fall to this new attack.

Abysia is yet weakened from the war with C'tis, and although we recovered much in the time that was alotted us, it was not as much as we hoped. Even so, we are stronger than the dread lords of Ermor know, and there is hope yet! For all who would not submit to Ermor's rule, we bid you contact us. If you fear open warfare with Ermor, then send us whatever support you may: be it with tangible resources (gems or gold), information, or simply moral support - we will be thankful for any of these.

Even more will we be thankful should any nation brave an attack upon Ermor. Foolhardy though this might seem, we expect that Ermor's best commanders and armies will be committed to the destruction of Abysia. There will be chinks in Ermor's armor, and there will come no better time to strike then when Ermor has focused all her will upon us!

turn 64 is up!

For those that have had me in other games know that I attack with my weakest forces first and only use my best troops when I absolutely need to. It looks like no retaliation has happened to me yet. And nice devil armies you have thufir. It looks like you beat boron to the helios and demon gods too. Oh and Pangaea...I do notice your priests on my border...I may take that as a hostile action.

I hope there is a new turn when I wake up in the morning because these are the really fun turns and if everyone wants to attack me that is your choice if you want to die. After all I am the evil Ermor.

Arco has broken the siege of his capital and is now finally free.

Pangaea is building massive amounts of priests on my border and has left me no choice but to attack him.

The war with Abysia is a bit odd. I am waiting for him to boom and every turn I see no retaliation. I guess you like having your lands pillaged Thufir and Pangaea can't save you either.

Ctis is now finally dead.

Thufir in that battle with one of your main armies...how come they routed? I dont understand why.

Pangaea claims they were not going to attack me but war between our nations will make things more fun. I really have never had much success controlling Pangaea so there is another reason I want the war because I want to see how you control it.

Comon Thufir let me see all your armies at work because you have them all hiding in castles =[. At this rate your lands wont be worth taking back because they are all being pillaged to the ground. I am curious on what your fire gem income is to use 60f in one round. I know you get 20f from the pyre. Is it safe to assume you have lots of fever fetishes? Anyway, I have undead coming in waves so you better get ready to flames from the sky them all. And I am surprised you waited this long to start casting it against me.

We of Abysia welcome Pangaea to battle! Do not fear Ermor's bluster - they have large armies, but they melt under fire, as we can say from experience. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif

I don't get it either, I'm going to go over the replay some more, and perhaps post a question on the forum. This is far from the first time I've been both surprised and frustrated by routing mechanics in this game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: MP Game - Pandemonium (noob/int game) - running

Thanks for writing these reports, Aku.

It seems that people have a tendency to underestimate Ermor and leave it alone until it's too late. I know I seriously miscalculated how quickly Ermor could overrun Jotunheim in "Musical Chairs". I was also quite surprised in "Newbie Slugfest" when Ermor managed to kill 3 ice devils, and rout a Mictlan army with a goodly number of support priests and Sun Warriors with nothing but undead spam.

Ermor is quite difficult to deal with for most people I think, since SCs don't work on Ermor and no one has the troop numbers to match Ermor, so it's all decided by mages and gem income.

I'll stay tuned to this thread.

PrinzMegaherz October 13th, 2004 04:27 AM

Re: MP Game - Pandemonium (noob/int game) - running

I find the idea of Ermor accusing me of being aggressive very strange.

20 priests are an appropriate answer for over 700 undead at my borders. And they were capable of dealing with 5 Ghost riders in one turn.

All of you should know that ermor attacked me although we had a peace treaty. Don't believe his false words and join the Forces of Abysia and Pangaea in their holy crusade against ermor. It's not too late to stop him.

By the way, this is my first try with Pangaea NE, so don't expect to much from me ;-)

turn 68 is up!

Thufir it looks like I have to use more than just ghost riders on your main army lol. Nice combo of the pheonix pyre combined with relief. I did catch your retreating unequipped bane lord with some ghost riders =].

10 of Pangaea's priests died this month too bad the ermorian horde wasnt fast enough to catch the retreating minotaur hero Menopathos.

Another 40f gems spent by Abysia with his magical attacks but my undead hordes are neverending. And over a 1000gp made pillaging the lands of Abysia this month.

It also seems the nation of Arco has decided to attack Mictlan for whatever reasons.

Well, I hope you can stick it out for a while - it'd be a shame for you to miss the decline of the Ermorian Empire. http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif But if it is, thanks for the game - I've had quite a fun time with it!

I don't see myself declining anytime soon. You must have a really long strat if pangaea isnt going to survive to see it. Anyway it doesn't matter because whoever wins the war will most likely not win the game.

turn 71 is up!

Interesting thing happened on this turn...I am now the highest income nation lmfao. Pangaea got hit a bit hard this turn. Thufir threw up his goh again. Thufirs armies are on the move but it is impossible for him to save the nation of Pangaea. Arco has just been building up in his capital doing who knows what.

Going by the graphs it looks like Abysia is getting beat on badly but he still has his main armies. I have just been throwing mindless hordes against Thufir's armies and may actually have to use real forces if Thufir actually goes on the offensive lol. I guess we shall see but invasion into my lands will be a very long and difficult task.

IMHO, Arco's tenacity has been one of the most amazing stories out of this game!

Quote:

I think you're looking at the wrong graphs. It's army size that yields the most telling story.

Quote:

Perhaps. Your offensive has reminded me of countless enthusiastic advocates of the Air Force that have ceaseless proclaimed the end of ground warfare in a new age of high tech air power. You have sent in massive waves of ghost riders (which at first came in multiples, maybe as high as 4 per strike), now you are degenerating into CoWind attacks. But at the end of the day, in RL or Dom2 sooner or later, you've got to send in the ground pounders if you want to get the job done!

It is true that I have only sufficient troops to defend a small area, and that I may be unable to save Pan. But you have shown a marked inability to kill much of anything near to my capital. And, you forget to mention one of the most noteworthy events of the turn! That being that the nicely equipped Banelord Ashsoul has seen fit to join the side of Abysia! We expect he will be the first of many http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/happy.gif
