Put out the fire

EA Abysia has gone to war with MA Tien Chi. I suggest anyone who neighbors EA Abysia to take this opportunity to bite into their reasonable sized empire while I occupy their army.

Jimkehn is now in control of LA Midgard. Please address any diplomacy for la midgard to him and welcome aboard!

Hopefully Coobe has filled you in on the diplomatic status of your race.

Good Luck.

The winds of war are blowing on the northern border of LA Pythium. Kailasa moves in their fearsome sacred warriors. Lanka is moving his horrible demons. And the godlike armies of Hinnom prepare for the strike. An exciting time is coming on the mid-continent.

Kailasa reports victory, we have defeated the first army from hinnom, and we see that the next one is already waiting for a beating.

@Xietor, Arcoscephale is not the only nation, seeing the wisdom of the ether, and our gurus have seen the downfall of hinnom. (no grigori in this game http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

I dont need a sub anymore, but i received an email that there is a new midgard player ! i never agreed with anyone to do that. please change it back ! sorry for the messup, but i managed to get a copy over here...

please help llamabeast =)

btw who said he would sub for me ?

llamabeast June 19th, 2008 08:02 AM

Re: Put out the fire

Hmm, very confusing! On your "I need a sub" thread coobe, jimkehn replied, and I _believe_ he's the one who's been set to sub for you. Really it would have been helpful if you had posted at least there and probably here to say you didn't need a sub anymore, to save Xietor work and jimkehn futile excitement.

Anyway, this is not my sphere, but rather Xietor's. I think he will be up fairly soon.

PS How did Zeldor know you didn't need a sub any more?

Zeldor June 19th, 2008 08:06 AM

Because he did write it here, in that thread, previous page.

Hmm, I can't see that. Confusing. Anyway, no matter. I'm sure Xietor will get it all sorted when he gets online.

yeah my bad, should have written it in the thread. i dont know how to handle this now. i found it highly unusual to not wait for my reply, since it really was like 12 hours ago and im not on my comp all the time

Yeah, well like I say I'd sort it straight away, but I don't want to step on Xietor's toes as the game admin. I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Re: Oceania sells trinkets :o)

Do you guys never sleep?

Just woke up. There really is nothing here that merits anything more than a pm to me. Heh.

It is coobe's race, and it should be returned to him. But when you post that you are looking for a permanent sub, and one is found, you can assume he will be put in your place without any further ado.

In this case, I am glad things worked out for Coobe, and you never even missed a turn. Your sub was gracious, and understood. So there are no issues.

But just for future notice, when you post for a permanent sub you are, for whatever reason, getting out of the game. We are on a fast schedule right now. So I will generally, when such a sub is found, plug him into the position so he can begin to get acquainted with his race. There is no reason not to.

But all is well that ends well, and we should thank jimkehn for being willing to take over on short notice.

Yandav,

Sorry your Kingmaker experience was a short one(: And thank you for playing. Sending your gold and gems to la pythium is thematic as he is the older brother to your race, and if he has any honor, he will avenge your defeat.

you could show some gumption and declare war on Niefelheim regardless of distance! Even if it is to just show your righteous anger at your younger brother's slaughter.

Woe be to any race that destroys a civilization of Arcoscephale for war and curses will rain upon thee, and distance will be no shield from thy Ruin.

Re: Oceania sells trinkets :o)

The younger civilization of Arcoscephale has not called upon the older for vengeance. However, the sybils all seeing eyes know who is behind the destruction of the Golden Age. And though they like to call themselves giants, they squash just as easily under an elephant's hoof as any other.

After a communion, the giants will forget that they ever served anyone other than Ruin and merrily hum as they plow our fields:

We can plow a field all day long
cut down trees from dusk to dawn
We serve our master Ruin as we must
working so hard just to get a crust.

Rise of the Giants

Riddles are all very well..

Here's some concrete information:

Niefelheim have just taken MA Pythium's capital.
LA Utgard took EA Arcoscephale's capital.

Check the score graphs. The two giants both had a huge increase in gem income, even managing to push the impressive MA Oceania into third place.

The nations of Arcos spend too much time in their libraries reading treatises on war written by frail sages who witnessed the hardened warriors of the north slaughter their golden curly haired soldiers, whose only reason for joining the legions was to impress some lass. You should spend your days trying to establish a preserve for your precious elephants for they have become a staple in the Utgardian diet.
We giants are the destroyers of civilization, the burners of books, the eaters of the weak. We call on all our giant kin to tear down your walls and silence your philosophical yammering. Grrr...

We think too much mead has clouded what little wits your race had to start with. Elephant burgers indeed. Most likely some moose you poached from Jotunheim! Do to your drunken thievery of your neighbor"s herd, you likely started a border war with your fellow giants!

Mammoths!

The EA Vans have observed a horde of agressive Mammoths nearing their drinking hall in the nation's capital. Their leaders have ordered them to stop partying for a few days to swat some annoying LA bird men.

Coming between a Van and his mead and ladies is never going to be a pleasant experience - though we hope to score a few nice new cloaks.

Wits are overrated stargazer. Before you look to your encyclopedia for consolation, you may want to ask little brother how effective his books were at stopping the bite of the woodsmen’s axe.
You are lucky your close relation with the creator of the universe placed you out of our immediate reach or surely you would be wetting your shiny gold codpiece. But I am sure some of our brother’s in your neighborhood will take offense at your insinuation that we are somehow less intelligent (not unlike the GEICO caveman). We are simply bigger in all respects.

LA Pythium laments the loss of our older brother, and thanks him for his generous gifts. He will be avenged. Eventually. When we can freaking find Neifelheim.

sum1lost June 19th, 2008 11:51 PM

Re: Hinnom Awakens

MA Mictlan has received a message from MA Vanheim. Not only were the proper protocols (Ambassadorial rules and regulations: International Politics Edition 3, page18, section 4a) not followed, nor was it sent through the correct, official channels(Ambassadorial rules and regulations volume 4, pages 9-27) for these actions, but our quite reasonable 300 gold compensation for a swamp and peace (established as proper and reasonable as per Thor v. Goats, 74 BFE*) was rejected outright as 'insulting' to the honor of the vans and werewolves.

In response to this unforeseen development, the nation of MA Mictlan has formed a new committee to deal with the matter, consisting of a significant number of jaguar and eagle warriors. This committee, thank goodness, was formed in accordance with ancient tradition rather than by the concepts brought by our new deity.

Time to eat some macahuitl, MA Vanheim.

LA Arcos is looking for a ring of fire and any other fr gear we can get for Ruin, who prefers the chill of the grave to the heat of the sun.

We have gems and/or gold to trade. Interested nations pm me.
Except Utgard. We do not trade with nations with whom we are at WAR!

DonCorazon June 20th, 2008 12:56 AM

Re: Hinnom Awakens

If that was your declaration of war, you'll have to stand in line Arcos - Utgard has a long list of worthier foes to conquer than a nation of philosophers.

We will however pay one astral pearl to whoever tells us where LA Arcos lives so we know which way to pillage!
