i have now enough gems to cast dispel, so from the next turn on astral corruption should be gone.

Helheim thanks the noble lord of Kailasa for his sacrifice, and the nations that contributed to the removal of this vile taint.

Hey, great battle Chris! You kicked my butt real good there in #236 :D I knew it was stupid to attack your strong point with just one army, but you know how the victory disease can get worse and worse ("Oh, I've destroyed bigger armies than *that* before, piece of cake") for the weak-minded :o

At least I don't have to worry about my Carrion Woods killing off all my population anymore :) Yeah, desperately looking for the positive sides of the major defeat :p

Yah, you got over confident... The last big fight we had.. in my combat results.. I won. In your combat results (and the only one that mattered) I got creamed.

You still have me of course... but.....

Soo My congratulations to Jarrko.

I'll be going AI... its only a matter of time at this point. I've done what I can to put a dent in Pan - between casting Mother Oak with 535 nature gems, to killing his god.

Still, he will capture my gem territories - so the respite is temporary. There are something like 2000 troops attacking now.
He has the most territories, and his gem income wiill be increasing. Pan is very very strong!

Anyone that wishes may freely take territories.

Unless miracles happen, Pangaea will take last TC lands in two turns. I would like to point out that I'd be mightily pissed off (Pangaea has lost her pretender and thousands of troops to get to this position) if somebody now waltzes in and tries to grab spoils of war. In fact, I regard any attack on remaining TC soil as an attack on Pangaean soil, and thus the equivalent of declaring war on Pangaea. Thus, if I may be so blunt, I would like to suggest anybody considering to take advantage of TC's current situation to consider the situation a bit more :)

Have to delay the game a couple of days as I'm moving. Probably won't need that long but who knows with moving.

Packing it in for this game. With moving and everything I don't have the time to keep up games, especially one in which I'm doomed. I'm setting myself to AI and I would request that someone take over as admin as soon as possible. PM me or post here and I'll send you the admin password.

i will be away from thursday to sunday, would it be possible to set the turn time to 72 hours after tuesdays turns?

I could also take over as admin (then i could do it myself :))

I'll be going for a bit travelling and such tomorrow (saturday) and I'll be back around thursday/friday, so I'd like an extension until that, or at least minimal amount of turns to host between that time.

i like rotten luck, this turn i lost 4 kinnara raiders and most of them due to bad luck:

- Mistform does not protect against poison (somehow i forgot that)
- I put the combat script on the wrong one, so he was uncripted, and was able to hit himself with his own shockwave twice (i suppose he deserved what he got)
- One met with a Pangaean Invasion Force (evil sneaky neighbours trying to rob our lands)
- One just had bad luck (agartha should not be a nation of vampires anyway)

That C'tis province is/was the short-cut to the final TC pocket. Little did I know there were in all armies from four nations moving that single province on the same turn  But nothing could stand in the way of the berserking naked women :p

Indeed.

To the nations of the land: Though Lanka's lands have little value now, nevertheless we claim them by virtue of shed blood. Plesae do not interfere in our struggle. However, guard your borders for who knows where this undead plauge will travel?

We are living in interesting times.

Pan just struck Mictlan, lets see if they can defend themselves.

Also Oceania has put up the Arcane Nexus, gem donations for dispel are much welcome.

((My Internet conenction died on Friday evening. I had to go to work to check for my turns, but didn't have time (or will) to post anything there in my free time :) Now the connection is working again :) ))

FNN (Forest News Network)

*BREAK THE NEWS*

A glorious victory for Pangaea against the cruel and evil demon worshippers of Mictlan!

FNN reporters were present to witness several small Pangaean armies under the command of the prophet Hippothoos start the pro-active counter-attack against the evil Mictlans. Nowhere, where FNN reports were present, were Mictlan troops able to halt the forces of Pangaea (although there are un-confirmed rumours of several failed assaults in various places where Mictlan local defenses suprised the Pangaean strike-forces). After only a few days nearly a third of Mictlan lands were over-run.

"This is a great day for Pangea!" exclaimed prophet Hippothoos after the battle. "We have shown what Pangaea is made of, the evil powers threathening to attack fair Pangaea will not remain un-punished!"

Some Pangaen observers were not as positive of the result. FNN succeeded to recieve a comment from an un-named harpy scout working for the Pangaen army: "Holy poo, there are several hundred vampires in one Mictlan army, and I saw a demon army with nearly two thousand demons sitting in reserve. The crap will hit the wind-mill, and it will hit it big time!"

Elsewhere the sudden change in Tir'na'Nog leadership has caused grand-scale movement on the Pan-Tir border. Also, Oceania has to be viewed as the number one threat to all free nations. Shouldn't Pangaea have concentrated on Oceania, and let Mictlan be (no matter how heavy the threats from Mictlan were, and no matter how fast Mictlan is summoning horrible demons from hell)?

Will Pangaea survive the onslaught of the Mictlan demon and vampire armies? Is Oceania sitting and laughing itself silly at the strategical choices of Pangaea? Who will stop the mad-gone Tir? Where is the Pangaean Pretender?

Stay tuned to FNN and you will be the first to know the answers!

Hm, well, Abysia seems to have attacked Mictlan without informing us about breaking the nap3 we had. At least I haven't recieved any such word. I knew that Pan was going to come sooner or later but did not expect abysia to join in without giving me a heads up first.

Oh well, more slaves for my altar then, I guess.

It means troops with low HP will die in masses, especially those with low prot. Look at Pan unit graph to get a view at what Armageddon does to Maenads (zero prot, low HP -> Pans did lose about 19 troopers in combat this turn, and some 1900 to armageddon). Not only that, but income will plummet too, so no money to pay for big armies (not an issue for Pan whose maenads are free of charge, but will (in this game) for sure hurt Mictlan, Ulm etc).

Ossa August 22nd, 2009 08:51 PM

Re: Magellan: All-EA Nations CBM game, 3D spherical map, Running

Oceania is desperate - Golems forged by the masters of steel venture in their realm.

Unfortunatly the golems do not know how to open fortress doors, so the subjugation may take a while.

Quitti August 27th, 2009 07:41 AM

Re: Magellan: All-EA Nations CBM game, 3D spherical map, Running

Mictlan only says "ouch" at the armageddons. Too bad only things we lose are the units we need less, but we're still puzzled at the sudden attack of Abysia and their breaking of the nap without informing us.

Also, I'll have to apologize for the second stale in row - I sent the turn file for the first stale turn, but apparently it got to llamaserver 3-4 minutes too late. Too bad. And this second one was due me having a horrible flu. I've frequently slept over 10h a night, and the turn reminder is set to 9h, so I keep missing it if it informs me in the night. I should probably just do the turns way ahead of that ;)

I am actually quite pleased with Armageddon :) A few turns ago I had serious (and I mean *SERIOUS*) supply problems with all the naked women streaming in and demanding food.

Much less of a hassle now :)

Re: Magellan: All-EA Nations CBM game, 3D spherical map, Running

it is the meaning of armageddon to annouce the end of armies. but thou shall be relieved, as the leaders will stay true to your nation and wont desert, even if they cannot be motivated further by money and power.
