Re: Last Rites - Running

Can we get an extension on time? I mean a permanent one. Another 12 hours, please.

Saros May 7th, 2011 05:23 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Yeah a longer turn timer would be good. I keep just missing turns.

Done.

Re: Last Rites - Running

After some serious deliberation on where my priorities lie, I have decided that I can not continue playing. I thank you for allowing me to sub in, and I've had a blast doing so, however it is time for me duck out and let another, hopefully better, player take my place.

Re: Last Rites - Running

Anyone here who thinks he can beat Pangea?
Otherwise we could use this occasion to declare Pangea winner.

nerozero May 11th, 2011 10:34 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Well, my scouting is just terrible, so I'm not really sure exactly how powerful Pangaea is, but I do feel I could cause some trouble at least. My army of Tartarians could probably give anyone problems at this point.

However, I have no problems with finishing off the game if people don't want to continue playing, although my Tartarians will be quite disappointed.

Oh, and kudos to Tien Chi for making life so difficult for me, that Master Lich was really giving me a headache :)

Re: Last Rites - Running

Well... we, Giants, are such a peace-loving nation that we will be more then happy to stop this bloody war.
Our scouts say, that there is a land where people say: Make love not war ;)

Re: Last Rites - Running

Perhaps we could have the score charts on the llamaserver turned on so everyone could judge relative standings. I'm pretty big but not necessarily invincible although agartha is pretty much gone as a fighting force at this point.

Re: Last Rites - Running

The decision to continue or not is none of Tien Chi as our celestial bureaucracy will only last for very few turns anyways. Seeing the graphs wuld be fun.

Although Tien Chi finally was utterly slain( swarmed by Tarts :) )i really enjoyed playing this game. Its my most fun MP games ever! Congrats to Jomon, a worthy foe!

Re: Last Rites - Running

I'd love to see the graphs for this game, that would be fun. Also, it might give us a better picture of the strengths of the remaining nations, something tells me that Pan has the most provinces at this point :)

Korwin May 12th, 2011 03:17 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I don't think that turning on the score graph is possible.
If it is possible, just tell me how.

Saros May 13th, 2011 12:58 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I think it can be done through the llamaserver admin options. Dunno exactly how though and its just the llamaserver score tables not the ingame graphs.
Admitted I think I have probably won at this point. I have more gems than I can easily spend and even after dispelling the arcane nexus a few turns back I still have enough gems to put up my own AN as well as the earth forging global, both with some hundreds of gems in each spell. As for tarts I guess you could ask agartha how well his did. I spent a fair amount of time preparing to fight his tartarians so I have heaps of anti tart things and stuff just lying around.

Re: Last Rites - Running

Just a passing FYI that there is no admin option on the llamaserver to switch either the scoregraphs or the llamascores on for the game once the game has started. Whether the llamascores appear during the game seems to be directly linked to the pre-game 'scoregraphs on Yes/No' option. (at least as far as the admin is concerned and can control)

There have been times when the llamascores suddenly appeared mid-game by accident (in games with scoregraphs off). But each time this happened it was associated with a bug in the llamaserver (due to how it used to handle Dominion patches IIRC). Llamabeast possibly could switch the llamascores on for you, but I doubt he'd do it if it risked messing with the operating code (just in case it affected other games by accident)

If you desperately want to know what the current graphs look like, then each player can go around their empire and do a lot of counting ;) As every graph criteria can be worked out by hand if need be. (and if you're insanely bored)

nerozero May 13th, 2011 04:18 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Ah well, that won't work then, too bad. Seem to recall that bug with the score graphs happening this game didn't it?

Anyway, I have no problems surrendering to Pangaea, chances are he can just dispel my gift of health anyway, and without that I can't produce Tarts any more. So if everyone else is okay with it, we can go ahead and declare Pan the winner of this game!

Korwin May 13th, 2011 09:16 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

OK, I'll wait until tommorow if anyone speaks up against declaring
pangea winner. If nobody does, its finished.

Well here is a shot of my gem stockpiles and production. I also have around 40+ clams and maybe a dozen earth blood stones. Producing 3 fully geared tarts a turn as well as a bunch of other lesser summons. A wish capable caster to pull out fun things like armageddon and if pushed I would put up burden of time as all my mages live like 400 years.
Buffed minotaurs and trolls are also surprisingly capable of taking down a lot of SC's and I have a ****load of them.

Re: Last Rites - Running

Well, I guess the game is over now? I'd like to congratulate Pangaea with a well played game. Hope everyone had fun, even with all the people disappearing (Atlantis I'm looking at you :)), and a big thanks to Korwin for taking over admin duty, as well as the people who subbed in. Congrats Saros!

Saros May 16th, 2011 04:48 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

I'm kinda surprised at the victory really especially considering how terrible my start was. God getting xbow'd turn one and then straight into a war with ermor in which I busted through his armies and sieged his cap before being beaten back only for agartha to come sieze the spoils. I then was last place in research for most of the game. Things really turned around after I assaulted bandar and rolled over him fairly easily.
Even then I do kinda feel like it would have been a much tougher endgame if atlantis hadn't gone belly up halfway through our war and left me with a big chunk of territory.

Most valued unit definitely goes to minotaurs, expensive and resource intensive they may be but with a few earth buffs they become an incredible force and the even have trample to roll over massed skellyspam like agartha was fielding.

nerozero May 16th, 2011 05:31 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Yeah, I was a little surprised as well. I honestly thought Agartha had won this game, but then again my scouting was just awful in this game.

Korwin May 16th, 2011 02:19 PM

Re: Last Rites - Running

My problem as Argatha was, it took so incredible long to finish of C'ties...
The surprise attack of Pangea didn't help either.
Right at the same time as I commited most of my Armies and Tarts against Phytium.

Saros May 31st, 2011 01:23 AM

Re: Last Rites - Running

Well crap of course I managed to stale the turn the giants attacked. Oh well time to get stuck in I guess.
