Also, we need a national holiday, "Saint Ruatha's Day", to commemorate the day the SHOE was thrown. We'll also have a huge gold statue of the Great Ruatha, SHOE in hand, about to throw it.

I am not an atheist but i will not worship Ruatha. Not until he has some ouder removers in his shoes at least!

how about having the show already thrown and held in the air by faith. like the statue of arthur dent and the floating teacup in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. i think it was in one of the audio adaptions and not the main 5 books.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, even though some of us are working on our Jedi powers and the force is strong with us, I don't think one person can sustain the shoe levitation 24/7 by himself. Let's have a rotating list of dedicated disciples taking turns, each concentrating for 1 - 2 hours at a time. We'll always have at least two guys suspending the shoe at any moment, so that we have a backup in case the first guy somehow gets distracted, or whatever. Being chosen for shoe levitation duty will be considered a huge honor, and only the most loyal and dedicated followers will be allowed to do it. It's a huge responsibility! If the guys (oh, what a terrible thought!) ever let the shoe drop, it could precipitate a crisis of the faith!
