Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
How bad is Ulm's situation? It looks like Coobe might be stalling out. If it looks like this turn will be a stale perhaps Ulm should go to AI or if the situation is salvageable, maybe a sub can be found? Whoever is putting the boots into him should know best.

Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
Well, you should know how bad is Ulm's situation. :) You are the one who attacked him. Though I am surprised that he could not beat back a sacred rush with his guardians.

Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
I don't share a border with Ulm...the nation of Mictlan is peaceful and only beats up on independants. The high priests have decided that diplomacy and love are the only ways to victory.

Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
I am sorry. Your growth curve fits too well with his declination curve. Well, it must be those Jotun barbarians then. :)

Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
"This is an outrage!" The shout of Skratti boomed through the hall. "What do you mean, you did not attack the lands of the false faith!? No matter if they control swamps or whatever! They do not know of the Lord of The Hunt, one who brings us the Illwinter! They must be cleansed, purged, scoured from this world with niefel flames!"
The Gode flinched. He had only been sent to take the mountains, but happened to encounter some little men in black steel on the way, having to kill them in the process due their innate aggressiveness. Now the little men had set up a citadel in the bordering mountains between the land of Ulm and Jotunheim. "Hrmm..." the Gygja in the hall muttered. "They do pose us a great threat. We will send capable Jarls to their neighbors to see if they are with us, or against us. There's hot winds coming from across the mountains, the Ulm do not probably dwell there. Another nation must recide there, they might prove to be a valuable ally, if they listen to us." So it happened, that a few Jarls were sent across the mountain range. Rest of the Jotun society started to prepare for warfare. Guardians of temples agreed to help the local Jarls and Godes in their efforts, providing the great power of Lord of the Hunt to the war party. Axes were sharpened, mead drank, flesh of mountain boars roasted. Plans were laid, dismissed, accepted. The mountain castle must fall first. The mountains belong to the giants, not little men clad in black iron. Then it happened. The great power from the mountains descended. An'Karak had awoken in time to bless their campaign into the swamps and beyond. An'Karak himself leading the army, no one could possibly stand between the main force of Jotunheim and their target. The cool wind from the east blowing on their backs they set to march. The nation of Jotunheim had gone to war. |
Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
Is coobe stalling because of in game problems or real life?
If its the latter I'd be for setting the game to 48h for a turn if it's not to late. But he's got his last turn in quite late the last time, too. |
Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
I think it would be a fair statement to say that Coobe has a history of stalling out of games without a word. I don't know why, it doesn't make sense to me to do that in a close knit community like this.

Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
Since coobe has staled four times now should we look for a sub?
Or just set to AI? |
Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
Opochtli stood up and wiped the blood from his hands...his ancestors would have flayed the skin from the bones of their vanquished enemies...decoration for the walls of the numerous temples. But those times were past and even if they hadn't been, these pitiful wandering barbarians hardly warranted better treatment than what the vultures would give them in a few hours. Finally after many battles the wandering tribes of the east had been united under the banner of Mictlan. Sad warriors, disorganized and leaderless had been put to the sword or pressed into the glorious servitude of the one true god. Far far from home Opochtli had seen wondrous things...the undead walked the earth wearing advanced armor and employing combined arms tactics, intelligent lizards the size of a full grown man emerged from foul swamps under a vapor of death. Despite their fearsome appearance, both these nations were diplomatic. With borders established Opochtli wished he could set about earning the love and servitude of Mictlan's newly conquered people. They would be properly prepared for the arrival of the one true god.
Unfortunately Opochtli would not be able to stay and preach to the slave masses. It had become obvious that the empire of Man would attack the soft southern underbelly of the empire. The priests had foreseen that it was only a matter of time. What was surprising though was that when the attack finally came, the banners of Man were not the only ones to strike. The forces of Avalon had allied themselves with the flesh eating spiders of Machaka; together they stuck all along the southern provinces. Thankfully the small defensive force that existed along that frontier folded with little resistance...With any luck the invaders would not be fully wiped out by the time his army arrived in the south...His time would not be wasted. Opochtli hungered for battle against a respectable opponent. He would prove himself in battle and become the chosen one in the eyes of Agronox. The thought of preaching with the giant skull of a hunter spider resting upon him as a crown brought a smile to Opochtli's mouth. Perhaps he would craft a spider skin suit and ride around on a unicorn while smiting his enemies. |
Re: Exterminatus - And the world will burn!
I recommend setting Ulm to AI. I doubt anyone will want to take over for Ulm after 4 stales while Jotunheim has been ravaging their land. One would think it will be a pretty unrecoverable situation.
