They don't have that order available, it's disabled. You can set them to patrol only with shortcut.

maybe the bug is that the order isn't more easily available? not that they can do it at all?

It's Christmas, so I will try to start the game at 27th. I have asked someone if he could not play if evilhomer does not show up.

Rising high over the Savanna of Utopia, the colossal giant wanders mindlessly. The tribesmen shout, "La-la-la-la-la-la" in adoration, and prostrate themselves before it. And jellied tribesman muddy the the parched land, for the Machakan pretender does not hear their prayers, and they are crushed beneath his weight. |

Ok, let's get it going. Relaxed hosting schedule till like 3-4th January. So just ask for extensions and all will be granted.

I'm not complaining about this game, but for future references for games with these zany settings... expansion rate will be surprisingly very strongly tied to how early and how adjacent the availability of "recruitable indie commanders" is....
as such i think starting with 3provinces is a mistake for settings like these, because randomly players will be given the opportunity to recruit 2commanders on turn1 or only 1... this can be a big bonus considering the earliest someone without that 2nd recruitable commander can expect to get him online is turn3/4 ... that means an extra 2-3 commanders early in the game with which to provide additional leadership for expansion armies/reinforcement lines... if we all started with 1province... it wouldn't be a matter of randomfactor it would be mostly skill... the skill to decide which adjacent province is most likely to have a recruitable indie commander instead of knights or shamans |

If that game proves to be fun and we want a remake, I think we will go with NI version of the map. I did not notice that problem really, I was rather thinking in categories of getting recruitable commanders for fort constructions.
