Maybe whoever's hosting malfador.com has some sort of spam filter that prevents Messages from being sent to more than 5 addresses at a time...

Or maybe he didn't want one beta tester blowing the surprise by posting the entire list of testers on the Boards http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif that wouldn't explain why the rejected applicants got Messages in batches of 5...

Hmm, haven't heard from Suicide Junkie, I'd be shocked if he didn't get in, seeing as he knows SE4 inside and out! http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/icons/icon10.gif

as for the 5 batches, it is most likely that Aaron chose a couple of people he knew and then went by fives - five yes, five no, five yes....

At least he was nice about it... "Sorry, but you were not accepted into the starfury beta, however, to get your mind off of this tragedy, we have dispatched agents to kill your family."

Ok, ok, it didn't say that, but it sure would have been a lot funnier it did.....

Now I am off to cry into my soup....

Hmm.
There are some Posts already in the beta forum, but I don't have access yet...
